"I just want you guys to eat more. Only when you're full will you have the strength to work." Lee's laughed as he lowered his head to eat. The rest of the people did not say anything else as well.

Just as Sun Chun was about to return, Lee's came close to him and asked softly.

"Xia Li, where did you throw your father? Is he alright?"

Unexpectedly, these words were heard by Sun Chun. He paused for a moment, and then turned his head to listen to the conversation between Xia Li and Lee's.

"Mom, it's getting late. You should get some rest after cleaning up. You don't need to worry about that person's matters."

As Xia Li instructed the Lee's, he accidentally saw Sun Chun still standing in the courtyard. When she intentionally stopped talking, Sun Chun turned around and returned to his room.

With much difficulty, Xia Li finally managed to persuade Lee's to go back and rest. Rubbing his temples, Xia Li pushed open the door with his tired body, but unexpectedly, a hand gently pushed her away and brought her into the room. Then, the person closed the door.

"Your father is back. Why didn't he tell me? Did he make things difficult for you?"

Sun Chun asked worriedly.

My mother softened her heart and allowed him to just succeed and run to the back courtyard, eating and drinking like a fish in the water. I directly drugged him and threw him into a carriage and threw him out of town.

Xia Li sat on the side of the bed and spoke lazily. When he mentioned Xia Manjiang, his eyes were filled with a loathing that could not be ignored.

"During this period of time, I will leave less and less, and stay at hospital to accompany you. It's getting late, rest early." Sun Chun said, he turned, took a few steps, then stopped, as though he was waiting for the person behind him to say something, in the end he lightly sighed, and walked out.

The door closed soundlessly, and Xia Li stood in her room, looking at Sun Chun's figure disappearing into the distance, her heart was conflicted. She wanted to jump up onto him too, but the alert in her heart kept on reminding her, what if he left, in the future, where would she be?

It was as if a thin layer of ice had formed between the two of them. Both of their hearts were slightly cold, and they were unable to move past this layer of ice to reach the other's heart.

The next day, a light drizzle fell from the sky and very few people came to visit in hospital. attending doctor, along with the three shop assistants, were busy with Xia Li to organize the medicinal ingredients within the hospital as Lee's sat under the eaves of the backyard to sew new clothes.

Sun Chun opened his room and walked through the small path connecting the front hall and back courtyard and arrived in front of the hospital counter. Looking at Xia Li's busy figure, the corner of his lips unconsciously raised, and seeing that she was safe, he turned around and was about to return, when he heard Xia Li's voice.

"Everyone's here. Give me a hand, help me hang this lantern at the hospital's entrance."

Sun Chun looked over, only to see Xia Li holding a red lantern in the shape of a pumpkin, waving it at him.

"Alright." Sun Chun's heart warmed. He walked over in large strides, took the lantern from Xia Li's hand, and walked to the hospital entrance.

There was an oil-paper umbrella by his side. Xia Li tilted half of the umbrella to the side as her own body became wet from the rain.

He quickly hung up the lanterns, took the oil-paper umbrella from Xia Li and dragged her into the shop.

The slightly skinny shop assistant Day Rui ran in front of her and said.

"Manager, we need to prepare a medicine for a patient and he is in urgent need of a red flower. Two hours later, the customer will come to collect the medicine."

"Are you in such a hurry?" Xia Li wiped the rain off her face, the wet clothes making her feel uncomfortable.

"Manager, your body is drenched in rain right now, why don't you let this old man leave?" attending doctor Bai Ying, who had been silent all this time, said to Xia Li as he walked over.

"Doctor Bai, since you're old, why don't I go? Please help me manage the shop, so that you can do me a big favor."

"Alright, the wind and rain outside is heavy. Shopkeeper, you should be careful." Bai Ying stroked his beard and warned Xia Li.

"Yes." Xia Li nodded and ran back to the backyard. He returned to his room and wiped his hair with a towel and changed into a clean set of clothes and a straw hat. Just as he was about to go out, his little hands were grabbed by Sun Chun.

"I'll go with you." Sun Chun said as he held onto the oil-paper umbrella, and walked into the rain with Xia Li.

Xia Li's heart was thumping incessantly, he wanted to stop Sun Chun from following them. He opened his mouth, but held himself back. The two of them had a tacit understanding not to speak as they quickly walked through the rain.

Xia Li's eyes widened as he gathered his courage, and looked towards Sun Chun's direction. As expected, he tilted the oil-paper umbrella to his side, and the other side of his clothes were already completely drenched.

"You're such a fool. I have my own raincoat. It can't get wet." As Xia Li said that, he grasped the umbrella handle, and leaned towards Sun Chun.

"I just want you to take care of me, so I can see you every day." Sun Chun stopped in the middle of the rain, and did not walk any further, and confessed to Xia Li.

"No, I don't care." Xia Li stubbornly shook her head and walked forward. But after walking a few steps, she sighed and turned around, stunned by the scene in front of her.

Sun Chun threw the oil-paper umbrella in his hand onto the ground, allowing the rain to fall mercilessly on his body. His clothes and long hair were all drenched with the rain, and rain flowed down his face, making it hard to see his expression.

"What are you doing, you'll get sick from the rain!?" Just as Xia Li was about to reprimand Sun Chun, she was suddenly hugged tightly in his arms.

"I was too stupid. I thought that I could leave you, but I foolishly discovered that no matter what, I could not get rid of the longing for you." He paused, as if promising, "No matter what happens in the future, I won't abandon you."

Xia Li's heart seemed to have been struck by something as tears flickered in her eyes. Her voice trembled as she asked, "Really?"

"Yes." Sun Chun replied and hugged Xia Li tightly, "The rain is getting heavier, let's go find some medicine."

After a short time of hugging, Sun Chun and Xia Li separated for a distance. He picked up the oil-paper umbrella on the ground and embraced Xia Li, looking for the medicine shop closest to them to buy medicine.

When the two of them returned to the hospital, Day Rui and the two servants immediately came over, and gave the two of them towels so that they could wipe the rain off their faces.

Xia Li and Sun Chun respectively accepted the towel and wiped the rain off their faces. After a long while, their line of sight gradually became clear.

"This is the saffron we bought from another medicine store. You can take it to prepare some medicine for the patient. Don't keep him waiting, Achoo!" After Xia Li finished speaking, he could not help but sneeze. He took out a bag of well-preserved saffron medicinal herbs that had not been drenched by the rain and passed it to Day Rui.

"Shopkeeper, Young Master Sun, the two of you should hurry to the backyard and take a hot bath. You should change into a set of clean clothes. I'll go prepare some ginger soup and bring it over to you two later."

Day Bao explained.

"Then I'll be troubling you."

As Xia Li said this, he glanced at Sun Chun and the two of them went to the backyard together. Sun Chun had been in the rain for too long, his body was already soaked. His forehead was burning hot and his entire body was spinning.

After Xia Li finished taking a hot bath, he dried his hair and changed into a clean set of clothes before walking out of the room.

"Shopkeeper, you've come out. Quickly go and take a look at Young Master Sun, even now, he still hasn't come out. I stood outside the door and shouted for a long time, but he still shouldn't have come out."

"I'll go take a look." Xia Li's heart tensed up. He rushed to the front of Sun Chun's room and prepared to push open the door.

"If you are too strong, you should go and break the door. It doesn't matter even if it's broken." Xia Li shouted to Day Bao who was in front of him.

"Since the manager has said so, I'll give it a try!" As Day Bao spoke, he took a few steps back and used all his strength to walk towards Sun Chun's room. Sun Chun's room door was instantly flung open, and she fell onto the ground, following the inertia.

Xia Li rushed to the door and helped Day Bao up. With a glance, he found the unconscious Sun Chun lying on the bed.

Xia Li ran to Sun Chun's side and shook his body, but accidentally touched Sun Chun's face with his hand. The hot air scared her and he had a fever.

"Day Bao, go prepare a bucket of ginger soup and sprinkle it with wind chill medicine."

Xia Li was so anxious that he started sweating profusely, urging the stunned Day Bao to leave.

"Yes, Manager." Day Bao immediately ran out.

To avoid suspicion, Xia Li took the initiative to walk out of the room to wait.

In the room, Day Bao helped Sun Chun take off his drenched clothes and laid him on the bed. Then, he covered him with a thin blanket and placed a wooden bucket in Sun Chun's room.

Xia Li sat in the courtyard, waiting until he was about to fall asleep. Right at this moment, a ruckus sounded from the hospital entrance, and Day Rui hurriedly ran into the backyard to find Xia Li.

"Shopkeeper, it's bad. Yesterday, that person ran over again. His entire body is dirty, and he was still hanging by the door. Even the patients he had just left were chased away. Please go take a look."

When Xia Li heard this, he followed Day Rui back to the hospital. He never expected that she had already thrown Xia Manjiang so far away, and after a whole night of effort, this fellow had already returned again, and was still causing trouble at the hospital gate!

However, she had Sun Chun, who was bathing in medicine in her room, and was worried that he would have any temporary needs, so she didn't dare leave.

My daughter, you should go back and guard Young Master Sun, I'll take care of him. Lee's naturally saw through Xia Li's thoughts and took the initiative to walk over to him to advise him.

"Mom, how can we do that? If you go, he will definitely think that there's hope in staying." Xia Li rejected her on the spot.

"But mother doesn't know any medical skills, right now is the time when Young Master Sun needs you, you should stay and take care of him …" The Lee's said as he pushed Xia Li into the backyard.

Two hours later, Day Bao walked out of the room, wiped the sweat on his forehead and replied with a tired face while smiling: "Innkeeper, the high temperature on Young Master Sun's body has already subsided. You can go in and take a look at him."

"It's been hard on you, Day Bao. Go and rest." Xia Li patted Day Bao's shoulder gratefully.

Day Bao laughed foolishly and left the backyard.

Xia Li pushed open Sun Chun's room, and a damp and heavy feeling spread out, causing people to feel hot and dry. He was still sleeping, and thin beads of perspiration trickled down his forehead.
