Chapter 167 Intermediate Stage!

Hearing Razor's proposal, Roland did not shy away and immediately asked the real reason why they were here, "Alright then. We just wanted to ask who's your employer behind the sabotage of the Sparkling Buds restaurant?"

There was no use of hiding this fact as Roland was sure that Razor would still be able to guess this point with a little investigation.

'Hah, as expected, it's truly that little restaurant that has caused me this much trouble,' he mumbled to himself.

He already had his suspicions earlier. The men he sent to deal with that small restaurant were captured by them, and then suddenly a group of people intruded his place. Something like this could not just be mere coincidence, so he already had his suspicions.

What he was confused about was as to how that small business managed to recruit and hire this fierce group of barbarians? From Bryan's words, that small business was just a start up made by their previous manager.

The manager had not saved up that much money to hire a bunch of men with fatal strength, right?

Even he himself was hired by Bryan's father for 500,000 Global Dollars just so he could be Bryan's protector as the election was already right around the corner and some opposing party might try to scheme him through his son.

In other City, an amount like this might just be nothing, but in a backward city like Fore City, 500,000 Global Dollars were already enough for someone to be called extremely rich.

Initially, Razor was not actually from this city. He came here from a C-Grade City in White Tiger Nation after he received an investigatory task from his boss, Tiger Tyrant.

At first, Razor was actually quite skeptical and hesitant after receiving Tiger Tyrant's order. However, after being promised a handsome reward, and a lot of cultivation resources for him to cultivate a total of ten power slaves, he finally agreed without hesitation.

He thought that living here would be pretty boring, however, when he set-up his mercenary life here, he thought that it was pretty fun as no one in this city had the capabilities to beat him, hence allowing him to live a carefree life where he was revered by a lot of people.

But now, his life of abundance and reverence was about to get ruined by a small business? What kind of situation was this?

This was simply unacceptable!

Hence, inside his mind, Razor was already thinking of toying this group of barbarians before he would go and raze that small business to the ground with brute force.

Fuck the police! Fuck the authorities! Fuck the local government! If they knew that he was the one who had done it, they might even beg him to do it more.

How many of this city's officials had come to him secretly to deal with their opponents? There were simply too many of them.

They would surely not mind if he destroyed an unknown building or two. And even if they do mind, how would they be able to stop him when these groups of barbarians in front of him could not?

Razor looked at Roland with a grin on his face, "Ha! As if I'd tell you my employer's name!"

He burst out laughing as he cracked his neck once more, "But I can tell you a piece of information so that you can rest in peace on the other side..."

"The person who hired me is one of the councilors! Haha- among the seven of them, who could it be?" He said while touching his chin, as if he was pondering about something.

Revealing this information would not cause any problem. After all, there were seven councilors in Fore City in total, how could he guess who it was among them?

However, hearing that, Roland merely nodded his head. That little bit of information was already enough for him to confirm his suspicions.

"Okay. So, are you done with your transformation now?" Roland suddenly said flatly while looking at his watch.

Razor felt enraged seeing his actions. It seemed that he was still not aware of the situation that he was in.

"Preposterous!" Razor screamed at the top of his lungs as he pointed his fist at Roland.

"You'll be the first to die then!" He continued after a little pause.

At this moment, the blood red energy shield around began to tremble before disappearing like a bubble.

After waiting, his 'transformation' was finally over.

Roland rolled his eyes at his silly actions before he beckoned to One, "One, finish him!"

One nodded his head and did not wait for Razor to speak any further.

Like a butterfly who just got out of its cocoon, Razor, confident of his strength, was just about to step out of the blood red shield when One arrived right in front of his face.

"Still too fast!?'

This was the last thought Razor had before a fist came in contact with his face.

With his arrogance, he did not bother upping his guard at all as he was confident that he would be able to defeat the other party with ease now that he had already broken through the Intermediate Stage.

One must know that the higher your level was, the larger the gap between stages and levels.

When he was still at the Early Stage earlier, he thought that One was only at the Intermediate Stage. With him just having his body strength advantage, Razor was confident of winning as he had access to Heavenly Energy unlike One.

However, he belatedly realized that One was not simply a barbarian with an Intermediate Stage strength.

Razor's body flew at breakneck speed once again and crashed into another part of the mansion.

Razor could feel the splitting pain on his mouth, as blood freely flowed out of it. He immediately stood up from the rubble, wiped the blood on his mouth and looked at One in horror.

"Y-you! You're actually not at the Intermediate Stage!"

"Don't mistake your assumptions as the truth!" One arrived in front of Razor with a dash and said coldly.
