The black flames rushed into the mouths of the territory’s serpent.

The duo kicked the air and vanished, appearing hundreds of meters away as the body of the territory serpent seemed to swell before exploding violently.

The duo stood with tired looks on their faces. They seemed barely able to stand as strings of invisible energy escaped from the cloud of smoke and surged into their bodies, sending a warm feeling down their veins.

Alex fell to his knees and Danny slowly lowered himself. With the enemy gone, the duo felt immense fatigue overwhelm them, but Alex still wore a smile on his face.

For the first time since he came to this world, he had fun fighting or even doing anything.

“That was fun,” Alex chuckled.

“Of course, we are finally going up against things that can actually fight back. When was the last time we were left in such a situation?” Danny said with a smile and Alex smiled back.

Even the Dàn-T?? Emperor didn’t cause them much trouble. Only after coming to this new world has he experienced close brushes with death repeatedly.

Even Danny who just arrived has narrowly escaped death at least two times now.

“This is the type of world Silver would love to be a part of. Someone challenging” Alex said with a bitter smile.

“Then let’s find a way around all of this and bring him over,” Danny said but Alex shook his head with a stern look.

“It’s not possible anymore. Little Alex and Creed have a high chance of arriving in a higher realm like this but for Silver, the chance is almost zero” Alex said with a stern look.

“His body?” Danny asked with a deep frown.

The thought of leaving Silver alone in the mortal world to live alone for eternity is not something Danny found amusing. Instead, he would rather find a way to go back to the mortal plane and exist with his brother forever.

“The body is made up of two things regardless of what we say, the body and the soul… To maintain his youth and maximize his capabilities, Silver moved his brain into a mechanical body… he moved his mind which is a part of his body. The reality remains that his soul is dead and probably reincarnated already. What we have been communicating with all this will is a collection of Silver’s memories which accurately acts based on its memories of who Silver really is... Silver cannot ascend because he is already dead… all we can do now is find a way to move his consciousness over to this world but things of the mortal plane cannot exist here.” Alex said with his face slightly lowered.

He only understood these things after asking his system a series of questions while he was making plans of bringing over his family and friends here. The reason he said almost zero was because they can still bring Silver over by sending down materials of this realm and allowing him to craft a new suit with it, only then will he be able to cross over. Outside that there is nothing else he could think of…

“What do you think… Do you think we will ever find a way?” Danny asked with a deep frown. He knew little about this place so he can only rely on Danny’s memories.

“Gods are blessed with unique tricks limited to gods alone as they gain strength. I am sure we will figure out a way when we get strong enough. Also, I believe ascension is far more than something that has to do with power level, I think it’s more of your actions…. Creed and Little Alex will be by Silver’s side for a while so we have no reason to be worried. For now” Alex said thoughtfully.

“Assimilate more territories, conquer more territory Beasts, and keep raising our strength. With our current strength and status as one of the seven deadly sins, I’m sure we are far more stronger now. We shouldn’t find it too difficult raising our strength” Alex added Danny nodded but hints of worry could still be seen in his eyes.

Then let’s start by assimilating this territory, we have no time to waste!” Danny said and Alex nodded.

.... Mortal realm; Sanctuary...…

Silver, Creed, and Little Alex slowly descended from the skies with deep frowns on their faces.

The closer they got to the planet, they realized the sanctuary was just one massive temple that was the size of the entire European and African continents joined together. This sanctuary was heavily fortified by the best of everything Silver has come across and even good is grown and produced within.

“The deities really prepared for everything! Who would have thought they would consider a day things will get this bad for them and they are pushed this far” Creed said with a deep frown.

“They are deities, paranoid motherfuckers…. What else do you expect?” Little Alex said but Silver remained quiet and kept observing everything ahead of them.

“Nothing can fly above and within the sanctuary. Its walls are greatly reinforced with the power of faith, leaving the front door as the only open and defenseless place here.” Silver said with knitted eyebrows.

It’s like they are inviting you in but once you get in, leaving will be an issue.

The three stood at the entrance of the sanctuary which was left open fall all to enter. All they could see from the gates were endless stairs leading toward the heavens. “In a place like this where flight is restricted. Once you enter there is no turning back. The only way is forward…. You can only leave by getting to the end of it all, are you all willing to embark on this journey with me?” Silver asked with a calm look.

But the meaning behind his words were obvious…

This is no normal foe!

They may win…

They may die….

The outcome this time is uncertain unlike before.
