Chapter 268

268 You have lost your chance

“Block my path? You don’t have what it takes!” Alex’s cold and detached voice rang in their ears as his figure loomed over the two who turned their backs on him.

Boom!

Before the two could react, Alex grabbed them by the head, driving them into the ground before darting forward without hesitation! Damnation had already cleared the way to the energy core of this spacecraft. As long as he could get there, it was as good a checkmate for his enemies.

Swoosh!

A figure appeared a distance away from him with his silver wolf by his side. Even now his eyes were filled with confidence as he stared down at Alex.

“I don’t remember saying you are allowed to leave” Kyle said calmly.

Seeing the person he hated the most right now, Alex stopped his advance and smiled, ignoring the numerous battleships racing towards him from behind. He gazed at the youth and regretted killing him back then when they came to meet the council.

“If only I killed you then, none of this would be happening,” Alex said with a bright smile.

“Well, you missed your chance.... Sad, right? It’s my turn now, I don’t plan on missing such an opportunity” Kyle laughed but his voice carried all the hatred and venom it could muster.

“Missed my chance? THERE IS NO LIFE, ALEX BRIGGS CAN NOT TAKE!” Alex bellowed as his body surged with immense power and he shot toward the enemy

His hand raised above his head like a blade, before swiping down, and a white massive arc of energy surged forward, splitting everything in its part in two but Kyle only snorted at this attempt and leaped to the side to evade!

Grrrr!

Kyle’s smile froze as he felt someone breathing down his neck. The sound of the person inhaling was like that of a beast, causing him to panic!

“Get back!” Kyle’s eyes flared up with spirit power as he spun and struck forward but at that moment his body shook as fear overwhelmed him!

From the corner of his eyes, he could see Alex shooting past him!

How could someone carrying immense killing intentions lose his focus at this moment?

“When one master his emotions he cannot be defeated easily... you will still die eventually so what’s the rush?” Alex’s voice echoed as his figure vanished into the distance, leaving Kyle dumbfounded.

Who would have thought things would turn out this way?

He has been played!

“Get him! If he gets away, we will all die!” Kyle said with a grave look on his face.

Alex mustered as much energy as he could to prevent his wounds from breathing while he breathed weakly. He may have played it tough in front of the enemy but the truth was he was in a bad condition.

This was the second time on the same day where he has almost lost his life!

This has never happened before!

“I will kill that bastard!” Alex muttered with immense killing intentions in his eyes. Right now all he needs to do is stay patient and recover first before bringing down hell on these people!

“Damnation!” Alex cried out in elation he saw the seed racing towards him!

Without hesitation, Damnation spun around, turning its back on Alex while the cockpit area opened up.

As soon as Alex shot into the cockpit, he allowed Damnation to take the controls while he focused on dealing with his injuries. He allowed his energy to flow out while using the matter absorption ability to consume it and heal his wounds.

With the little energy he had, he was able to return himself to a good condition but not perfect. Just enough for him to survive.

With a pale face, Alex gazed at the screen and smiled. With Damnations speed, he had left the other battleships in the dust.

“Even with the power of an energy core. Even at full power, it will be difficult to deal with these people due to their suicidal tactics... I don’t have the strength needed to overload the core now, all I can do now is wait and rely on what I have to deal with them... running is not an option” Alex muttered with a frown as they continued their journey.

All this while, he couldn’t use his gravity manipulation because of the limited energy he had but now it was different.

Closing the distance between them and the core, Alex could already feel its power, and with his hand stretched blue energy began surging out of the core and into his body. Right now his priority was to heal his wounds while conserving enough energy while escaping.

He silently agreed to always have beast cores or other portable sources of power as soon as he survives this.

“Experience... it’s all part of the experience” Alex grunted as he felt a sharp pain!

[Enemy approaching rapidly!]

The warning messages filled the screen making Alex frown. If it were before he got close enough to the core this would have been a problem, but now...

“YOU HAVE LOST YOUR CHANCE!” Alex growled as he gripped the empty space and pulled!

Almost instantly an invisible force gripped the battleships racing towards him and smashed the into the walls around, causing them to explode.

“THE POWER OF A GOD IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN CHALLENGE!” Alex bellowed as Damnation stopped its retreat and turned to face the enemy.

Getting closer to the energy core meant he could absorb more at a faster rate but prolonged exposure to such things can never be a good thing, especially now his strength is not enough to handle it!

Unlike the blue meteor that mutates the genes, this one would just forcefully overload him, killing him in the process!

With pitch black eyes and a powerful invisible force swirling around him, Alex stood within Damnation with eyes brimming with confidence. If these people dared to chase him this far with the intent to kill he had no reason to be polite with them.

“When did Alex Briggs become someone that just anyone can attempt to take his life?” Alex said with frosty eyes and clenched fists
