263 True nature of the alliance!

Alex stood with his hands placed at his back and his eyes gazing into the distance. Even though he never said it out loud, he couldn’t deny the fact that he was extremely anxious about this. Without any energy to absorb with his matter absorption technique, he could only rely on his strength. With the injuries he had sustained, how long can he last in such a big spacecraft like this?

His first choice was to find the energy core of the spacecraft and absorb it directly but with his condition, he wasn’t as sensitive to energy as he used to be before. Walking around this massive spacecraft may take months, that’s if he doesn’t die due to his condition before then.

“Hmph! Standing here and thinking won’t change a thing either!” Alex said coldly as he strode forward confidently.

With his hands placed behind him and his Gray hair fluttering in the wind, even in such a bad condition, Alex still gave off the vibe of absolute confidence. But what choice did he have?

This was all he could do in his current condition!

The doors of the room slid open and Alex walked out. The next room was like a tunnel leading to what looked like a stairs but unfortunately, it was filled with guards similar to the ones he had just killed.

Their identical battle armor prevented Alex from seeing their faces or differentiating their races.

“Minor races... gathered and reduced to foot soldiers whose lives are worth less than a piece of equipment.... Do you all really wish to die at my hands?” Alex asked with a straight face. His eyes revealed no emotions or killing intentions. This was him giving them a chance.

There was a little bit of hesitance from the group but in a few seconds, they could all be seen racing towards Alex with their weapons vibrating violently.

“So be it!” Alex exhaled and slowly shut his eyes.

Swoosh!

A blade struck his neck, shattering instantly. The attacker attempted to retreat but Alex’s hands were too fast!

Boom!

With just a single punch the head of the enemy exploded into a blood mist and the headless corpse flew past the others, making them stop. With the mask on, Alex was unable to see their faces but he could smell the strong stench of fear in the air.

The hesitance was clear but for some reason, they couldn’t flee.

“What are you doing... Kill him!” Kyle’s voice sounded across the narrow corridor and all the men in suits shivered.

Only then did Alex realize something. The fear these people felt was not directed at him, instead, it was directed at the owner of the voice. Not just the voice but beyond that!

“They have your families and kids as hostages don’t they?” Alex said in a low but firm voice.

Clank!

Hearing this, these people clumsily gripped their swords tightly. Their reaction alone was all the confirmation Alex needed. The alliance was no saints as many expected them to be. They would invade planets, suppress the people after killing so many, hold their families as hostages and force them to fight for them with their lives on the line.

How many races and planets have they forced into slavery in the name of liberation against the Danites?

“At least the Danites wiped out everyone and stole from them... the Alliance steals, kills, and makes life a living hell for everyone who crosses paths with them!” Alex bellowed as his aura exploded violently.

The gray and black aura that has only been seen back then on earth when he solely relied on martial arts could be seen once again.

It has been ages since Alex has felt so much rage! In his opinion, these bastards were far more terrifying than the Danites and they are the ones that need to be eradicated first!

“I will take your lives now, but I swear on my life that I will save your planets from these tyrants! I will let your people know how brave you were in the face of death and the sacrifices you made! You can all rest easy now...” Alex said the last part with eyes filled with pain and sorrow.

He slowly bowed to these nameless soldiers and for a moment these soldiers were too stunned to react. They all shot each other a glance before taking off their masks, revealing different faces of various kinds.

No matter the species or race they were all here fighting together as one. Alex did not see them as humans or Danites or Estosians, no! He saw all of them as warriors fighting to protect those they love!

“Thank you!”

“Thank you!”

Countless voices expressed their thanks to Alex as they all bowed respectfully. It seemed like a heavy burden had been lifted off their shoulders, allowing them to grip their blades tightly in preparation for what will be known as their final battle!

Puff!

Alex’s eyes were blood red as a slight cut appeared on his palm and his golden blood surged out, forming a golden spear. His eyes revealed a blood red light and he began walking toward the enemy without hesitation.

“Come! This is your life’s final moments, show me the best you’ve got!” Alex said coldly!

Bang!

The battle had begun.

Swoosh!

Two men raced forward with their weapons held tightly. While one ran on the wall the other ran towards Alex directly!

Hmph!

Alex snorted disdainfully as he slashed forward but surprisingly the enemy slid on his knees, spinning as his blade slashed at Alex’s waist, shattering upon hit!

Peng!

Alex had no intentions of letting the man live, as he turned and slashed at the man but even then his attack was blocked by the man who ran on the wall.

“Amazing!” Alex said with a bright smile on his face as he gazed at these two before shooting glances at those standing behind.

Just like him, these two warriors and the others wore wild grins on their faces. They were no longer fighting out of fear. This was now a fight which will be engraved in their memories even in their next life.
