Chapter 262

262 A chance at killing Alex!

The hole Alex created was quickly sealed off as soon as he broke through. Just like Kyle had speculated, Alex was extremely pale and weak. He spat out a mouthful of blood as the cockpit area of Damnation opened up and he fell out, crawling forward.

“This is not how it’s meant to begin” Alex muttered as he leaned on the massive feet of Damnation while trying to control his breathing.

Casting the revolver energy abilities cost him his revolver energy but using the golden statue technique cost him deviant cells.

To shield the entire Damnation with his golden armor ability was no joke. Without his deviant cells charged he wouldn’t be able to use his deviant abilities. He was too exhausted, hoping to rely only on his martial arts alone would put too much stress on his body.

Even now he couldn’t pilot Damnation anymore even if he wished to escape.

For the first time in a long time, Alex felt the threat of death looming over his head.

Without hesitation, he began observing the room he was in. After a minute or two, he was about ninety percent sure this was the emergency escape room and the escape pods were already destroyed after his little reckless moves.

“Fuck my life” Alex muttered as he gripped his chest and spat out another mouthful of blood.

His condition was far more dire than anyone could think.

“Let’s hope this works!” Alex muttered as he stretched his hand and shut his eyes.

He could feel an invisible suction force explode from his hands but for some reason, he couldn’t draw any form of energy to himself while within the ship.

His eyes widened in shock as a grave look appeared on his face. A hint of fear and concern could be seen in his eyes as he heard footsteps racing his way.

“Damn it!” Alex muttered with a frown as he opened his eyes and slowly rose to his feet.

No matter the situation, no matter how bad it looked, his pride always came first. Alex Briggs was not the type to turn his back on an enemy and flee! If he were like that he never would have gotten this far.

“Defeat is only certain when you show the enemy your back and flee” Alex muttered the words Wilder Briggs always told him when he was little.

He couldn’t deny the fact that his grandfather and other members of the Briggs family were crap but a few things they taught him when he was little remain valuable to him to this day.

Shhh!

The doors slid open as numerous soldiers dressed in strange full body suits ran in with blades and metal weapons pointed at Alex! Seeing this Alex couldn’t help but frown. He knew these soldiers normally used advanced equipment, so to use such outdated pieces of equipment came as a surprise.

The fact they all decided to use such equipment was not a fluke or chance. Someone must have instructed them to do so.

Someone knew about his abilities well and was watching while instructing these soldiers. His eyes shot towards the cameras in the room and a cruel smile appeared on his face, revealing his teeth stained with blood.

“Do you think that this will be enough to bring Alex Briggs down? You are really cocky!” Alex said with a tone filled with venom and disdain.

Come! Let me show you all why it is a thousand years too early for you to face me!” Alex bellowed and these soldiers dashed forward!

The first to reach him was one wielding the Katana, slashing forward, meanwhile, another came from the back while two more from the sides. This was an attempt to block all possible routes of escape and deal a devastating blow!

Watching from the screen, Kyle couldn’t help but smile. He and the other two representatives were excited as they watched what they would consider the death of Alex Briggs at the hands of mere foot soldiers. But the unexpected happened!

“Hmph! Not knowing one’s strength!” Alex snorted disdainfully as he refused to dodge and just struck at the enemy in front!

Bang!

His fist broke through the metal Blade and the moment it struck the skull of the enemy, his head exploded into a bloody mist.

Meanwhile, the other three who dared attack from the sides and behind could only watch in shock as their blades shattered on Alex’s body!

Such powerful skin, how is that possible?

Their mind was filled with questions that they needed answers to but they all knew now was not the time to ask those questions.

Retreat!

The three attempted to jump away but Alex’s eyes revealed a blood-red flash as a hint of killing intent could be seen in his gaze...

“Retreat? You don’t have the ability!” Alex swung his palm like a blade and in a circular manner. The three landed a few meters away but they dared not move. After seeing what was like a few minutes, their heads fell to the ground and blood began squirting out as their headless corpses kept twitching occasionally.

In the control room, Kyle wore an ugly look on his face while the other two representatives were deadly pale. One may think those were normal swords but these three knew those were no mere swords.

Vibrating killing blades were what many called them. Not only were they made from high-quality metal ores but the vibrating feature also improved their cutting power. For Alex to be able to take direct hits and not flinch revealed how terrifying his physical prowess was.

While everyone panicked only Kyle remained calm as he gazed at the screen with a slight smile on his face.

“You already know what this means... we have already confirmed that he lacks his deviant powers now... outside his monstrous strength and martial skills he wouldn’t be able to face us for long!” Kyle said with a cruel smile on his face.

As far as he is concerned, if there was ever a good chance to kill Alex, this is it!
