222 Chapter 222: A surprise visit

“And let the world die at the hands of these people? Never!” The mutant beast said with fierce flame in his eyes. Seeing this Alex frowned.

He wondered how retarded this beast is even though it has proven to be really smart. How can you expect to save a place by preventing those capable of helping you defend it from growing?

“Dumb!” Alex said coldly as he shook his head in disappointment.

He hovered towards the beast fearlessly and the golden armor around him slowly vanished, revealing the figure of the Gray eyed human with crazy Gray hair.

“They wouldn’t be consuming much energy if they weren’t setting up defensive measures for your kind. The need for the seeds, weapons, and all that is only made necessary because of your existence. You cannot and will not blame it all on a small population of people simply trying to survive” Alex said coldly while standing directly in front of the enemy.

The look in his eyes was one filled with determination and strength. It was obvious if the beast disregarded his words this time a battle will surely take place.

“It is not what you think!” The Duke level beast said coldly.

“What you think does not matter...” Alex said with a sigh.

“We have come a long way. You are stronger as well.... Your people and I can rely on the blue meteorites as a power source to survive while they need the pure power core to survive. Why Is it so hard? Should the threat of getting invaded be completely ruled out, they won’t need as much power as before. They can finally stop building weapons and focus on living! Your side is not completely free from blame as well. Just keep that in mind!” Alex sneered before returning to his original position.

.....

The Duke level mutant beast remained silent and pondered on his word deeply. What the human said wasn’t false. If they withdraw their forces the Estos race would have no reason to keep the barrier open, they have no reason to create excessive seeds and more. All of this made sense but how are they supposed to trust this race?

“You don’t need to trust them... just trust me” Alex said while looking down on the Duke level beast. His eyes were filled with indifference and confidence. Just looking at him is more than enough to make the average man believe in him!

“Fine... what do you need?” the mutant beast finally said with a defeated look on its face.

“Relinquish ownership of the closest power source on all four cardinal points around the city. The land will also belong to them as well. That way when they expand they won’t be in need of land which will lead to another conflict. With those power sources, they should be able to start up something and prepare for the worst. This will also allow them to figure out a way to depend more on renewable power sources and not just killing the world. Since no barrier is needed, these four power sources should be able to cover millions of years for them. Everything outside this location belongs to you and your kind. I will remain and make sure everything runs smoothly. As long as I am alive, no Estonian will set foot in your land without your permission. Is that okay?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.

It felt like he had already made plans for his request a long time ago in his mind. The mutant beast remained silent for a while before nodding with a defeated look on his face.

The Estos race watching from the screen instantly screamed in joy! All this was in hopes of securing one power source which will last them a few thousand years, but Alex was able to secure four! They had no reason to worry again!

Especially since the land was also secured as well. Now they can grow without hesitation!

“TAKE DOWN THE BARRIER. THIS IS A SIGN OF GOODWILL!” Alex said to the camera afar as his voice shook the skies like lightning.

Without hesitation, the barrier around the city fell and for the first time, they could feel the world without the light blue barrier surrounding them. As expected the mutant beasts made no attempts to attack, instead they began retreating. As they retreated the Gray fog moved with them, revealing clear land.

Alex turned to the Duke level beast. He quickly cupped his fist and gave a respectful bow. Thanks to it being rational they have averted the major crisis and have won an ally too. Right now they can all focus on tackling the alliance when they come!

“I hope when the time comes and this world needs you, you will be there” The mutant beast said with a frown.

“I will have them give you a means through which you can contact me. Outside that, as I said earlier you need not worry. We have the same goals so there is no reason for me not to honor my agreement” Alex said calmly as he watched the retreating forces of the mutant beasts.

His eyes dilated as he thought of something and a grin appeared on his face. Everything ended sooner than expected so he had some spare time which he can use to have some fun.

“You are not the leader of the mutant beasts, right?” Alex suddenly asked catching the mutant beast by surprise.

“I am Igor. One of the four chieftains...” The beast responded with a surprised look on its face.

“How did you know?” It couldn’t help but ask.

“Why wouldn’t I know. The other three are on standby in case things don’t go well. It would have been a four on one battle if I insisted on fighting. Did you think they will escape my senses?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.

After evolving the golden statue’s ability to the level of a sun deity, he could detect the heat signature of people thousands of kilometers away. It wasn’t too difficult to spot three powerful beings hiding.

“You knew of this and you did not run or request for backup. Why?” Igor couldn’t help but ask again. The more this human spoke the more he realized how far they are from reaching his level.

“Why would I be worried when I know I will win? Apart from the true leader of this world who sent you four to bargain, no one else can kill me. Do send my regards to him, I have things to do now” Alex said nonchalantly before vanishing!

His words did not only break the heart of the beast but it also broke his spirit. While he wasn’t sure if Alex could win against all four of them he knew they would definitely pay a heavy price for victory!

This human is truly unfathomable!

Boom!

With a loud bang, Alex appeared above the city after an hour of flying at top speed. He saw people cheering loudly below and he could tell how grateful they were but they were not his priorities right now so he simply ignored them and flew into the massive tower belonging to the council!

Immediately the twelve saw him they fell on their knees and thanked him without hesitation. Something which they believed will take centuries to achieve was done in mere hours! Why wouldn’t they be happy?

Alex gazed at them and sighed. He waved and signaled them to stand before asking the question.

“Estos race is known for their technological breakthroughs which can only be rivaled by the Danites.” Alex said calmly while levitating which left the twelve elders confused and uncomfortable.

Somehow they knew something wrong was about to take place especially since Alex was smiling. The human never smiles unless he has something crazy in mind!

“What do you want to say?” Jalic Gale asked.

“You have a method of reaching the earth and coming back almost instantaneously. Or do you think I haven’t noticed? The immense power surge which takes place each time you travel using long distance teleportation. That is how you can reach earth and back so quickly. Send me to earth” Alex said calmly but his heart was like bolts of lightning, striking their hearts.

Why would they want Alex to leave, especially since he just paved the way for a good future for them?

What happens when the mutant beasts notice he is gone after a few years and decide not to honor their agreement anymore?

They needed him now more than ever so letting him go is not an option but they can’t force him to stay either.

Knowing this, the entire team was troubled by this. No one knew how to react or respond to Alex’s request and for a moment there was complete silence with only their facial expressions speaking for them. Seeing this Alex couldn’t help but chuckle. He knew what was going on in their minds and he found it amusing.

“Don’t worry I will only be gone for an hour or so. I intend to bring back my subordinates here to help in the war ahead” Alex said with a cruel smile.
