216 Chapter 216: Time skip

Just as Alex expected the Estos race was open and transparent. While Alex had gone into ‘hibernation’, his words were relayed to people and the thoughts of progressing just waiting a year made them incredibly excited. During this time, no one attempted to push their territory any further. No military operations took place and the people waited for him patiently. If Alex were to come out and see everything that happened he would definitely be shocked by how much faith these people had in him.

Right now they focused all their resources on two things. The first was building a seed worthy of their new champion and the second was focusing more resources on the students and trying to improve their growth exponentially.

By the end of the year, everyone in the class had already made it to the Viscount rank and while this may look slow but for beings that live for more than a century it is a short time.

The sealed doors of the underground chambers slowly opened a day after the year time elapsed and within was a man far different from the one they once saw before. Not only had he regained the same fitness as he was in his past life, but his long flowing gray hair could also be seen and his facial features were perfect!

The man sat on the bare ground in a cross-legged position and the meteor was dug out from its hole. Gazing at the massive blue meteor levitating over this man, the elders and everyone didn’t know whether to feel excited or worried.

The man they were gazing at right now from the man they knew a previous year ago. If the Alex of a year ago could be considered a beast, this one definitely had the aura of a god!

“It’s a year already?” Alex asked in a cold voice as the doors opened.

His voice was calm and smooth but in the ears of all those who heard it, it boomed like lightning, giving people a feeling they didn’t know how to express. Their eyes were pinned on Alex for a while and no one dared to breathe, talkless saying a word.

Right now, this new Alex was completely different. Apart from the Gray hair, his eyes were black with black markings or cracks littered all over his body and linked to one another. It linked all the way to his face and up to his eyes.

.....

It seemed like the battle to stop the evolution failed but he managed to retain his sanity. He blamed himself for this mistake. He didn’t think of the consequences of getting so close to an entire meteor that had the power to rewrite a person’s genes. In fact, it could be considered a miracle he only evolved once.

Boom!

He casually moved the meteor back to its original position and dropped it, making the entire underground facility tremble! His eyes were cold as he stood to his feet but he was not walking. He simply levitated forward.

Gazing at the new Alex, everyone couldn’t help but admit he looks extremely attractive! It was like a statue of a divine deity coming to life.

“I would have loved to practice a bit more but since it’s time it wouldn’t hurt to let out some steam” Alex said casually as he flew past them at a mild but face pace.

The elders hurried in attempt to keep up with him but they could only do so much. Meanwhile, Alex moved in silence. The only time he stopped was when they finally reached the elevator but even then he didn’t leave.

He turned to the elders lagging behind and frowned. Suddenly the elders struggling to keep up with him were lifted off the ground and pulled towards him. The Steel plate disk’s on the chest which created the protective suits on them were pulled out and returned to their original positions by the invisible force.

Under Alex’s power, they were flung into the elevator which took them to the ground floor. There they flew out following Alex tightly.

Alex didn’t go to the top floor since it would take far longer. Instead, he followed the ground floor but seeing too many people clustered in hopes of seeing their hero appear Alex frowned.

For some reason, he felt it was urgent as he felt something wrong. He flew forward toward the exit and no matter how many people were gathered at the entrance, an invisible force shoved them aside gently as Alex flew through the crowd before launching into the air, shooting toward the highest point before stopping to look around with the elders behind him. Unlike Alex, they looked miserable. Being moved by a powerful force you have no control over was not a good experience.

After Alex gazed around for a while he couldn’t help but frown deeply. His stern gaze turned towards the elders who felt their hearts jump and silently prepared for the worst.

“Not only has the Barrier weakened but its coverage has reduced as well. What happened while I was away? No, nothing happened. If there was a danger even thousands of miles away I will detect it, you did something” Alex said coldly.

“We... we invested more resources into training our younger generation so that they can assist you in your fight upon your return” Jalic Gale answered with a slight frown and lots of hesitation.

Right now they couldn’t tell how strong Alex is. All the saw was boundless energy, flowing with nothing to stop him. If they can’t detect the edges of his power how can they Tel how strong he has become?

Hearing their explanation, Alex sighed. He knew these people are quite different from the average human. Trusting and gullible. While they may be extremely smart when judged scientifically, they were lacking in all other aspects!

This explains why they weren’t able to detect the possibility of the Danites betraying them. They were pure beings with pure minds. Which is meant to be beautiful and Alex appreciated that so he didn’t scold anybody but this put him in a tight situation as well.

He had only managed to push all his other abilities and martial technique to the Viscount level and while he is far stronger than people at his level of even two levels against him, he doesn’t know how far he can go.

The difference between this city and a new power source is far so to be half to reach it, one must push his way through the beast armies of various levels.

Alex wasn’t too sure he would be able to ok deal with the beasts at the Duke level. His eyes carried a lot of questions as he looked into the distance and sighed.

Things never go easy all his life. He is barely up to thirty in real age yet he has lived on two different planets. What other humans can boast of such a stressful life. His eyes seemed to reveal his true emotions but it was only for a second before it all vanished.

His gaze became calm again as he turned his attention to the crowd below!

Swoosh!

He and the elders began free falling and just before they hit the ground, they stopped. People were cheering and screaming at the top of their voices, feeling Alex with great emotions. It wasn’t the emotions he was feeling, rather it was the emotions of those around him. The feeling was magical and quite different from what he expected.

He was immersed in the feeling for a short while before snapping out of it and flying into the great tower of the council while leaving the elders behind.

“What was that?” he muttered.

He couldn’t tell what that feeling was so he didn’t bother with it anymore and pondered on himself.

Just as expected upon pissing his abilities beyond the SS ratings and to the Baron level, all of them went through qualitative changes.

He guessed it is safe to say he is at least ten times as strong as he used to be but that did not mean he can underestimate the powerhouses of earth. The truth remains that with the presence of the Danites as their backers it would be na?ve if he believes there aren’t warriors who have advanced to the Baron level or gone far beyond that!

Only a fool would assume he is the only one improving. By the way, the Danites are creating an army capable enough to fight against the entire universe and nothing more. Such a high standard goal requires an army comparable to that standard. It’s only a matter of time before humans are turned into elites that can combat the universe.

“That is if I don’t wipe them out first” Alex said with a cruel smile on his face as his eyes revealed a cold yet familiar golden flash. His body was like that of a ghost as he darted towards the highest room in the tower. He needed to go to the meeting room and devise a plan. Push the territory of this race further and return to secluded training.
