163 Chapter 163: Taking sides

The flames struck the Silver shield band the entire sky trembled!

Another wave of fierce flames surged forward but this time there was a human within it, shooting toward the tyrant gang leader!

“General Firestorm! As hot-headed as always, you came here to die didn’t you?” the Tyrant gang leader said with an amused tone in his voice!

General Firestorm ignored his words and smashed into the massive shield without hesitation. At first, it looked like it the shield would hold but then the Galena around general firestorm surged even more dangerously and he forcefully broke his way through the enemy lines.

The aged general was still macho and buff. His original Gray hair and beard were now orange as his eyes surged with flames dangerously yet his clothes were still intact, this was to show the immense level of control he had over his fire element.

The two stood in mid-air with their clothes fluttering and no one else talking. They gazed at each other coldly and secretly gathered their strength in preparation for a hard fight.

“Do you really think you can win against me?” The tyrant gang leader said calmly.

“You are not the culture... there is only one of you... I suggest you turn around and leave it you wish to live” the tyrant gang leader added.

Hmph! General Firestorm snorted disdainfully.

“Who do you think you are fooling... After using that mirror power you were left weakened or do you think age has blinded me? That power is terrifying but at a cost... You are not at peak condition anymore... that’s why you are yet to teleport out of here, you are stalling” General Firestorm said disdainfully.

Hearing this even the silver-haired man frowned, it seems he has been found out. He never expected anyone to come here so quickly after his battle with the flower mutant. He planned to talk a bit more with Alex while he recovers before returning.

Honestly teleporting alone wouldn’t cost that much power but he was trying to take the massive flower mutant with him. He spent a lot of resources to create the artificial power source Alex was holding right now and dumped it in this area just to lure the beast out.

He gravely needed it for his experiment, yet things have gone in a direction he didn’t predict. If he wants to leave, he can do that alone but teleporting with something as massive as the flower mutant is not something he can do effortlessly. He needs to recover and gather his strength

Meanwhile, Alex was stunned as well. He too was wondering why the tyrant gang leader didn’t just up and leave and now he knew why. He felt conflicted about what was happening now but seeing the tyrant gang leader hold on to the flower mutant tightly he knew the man needs it for his experiments.

“Even then you cannot win. Do you think you can win against me because I’m not at my peak?” The tyrant Gang leader sneered.

His voice wasn’t as jovial as before. It was clear he was staking these things seriously now, especially since his secret has been found out.

“Alone, it would be difficult but with him by my side, our chances are higher” General Firestorm said while shooting Alex a glance.

The tyrant Gang leader shot a gaze at Alex too and frowned, it was obvious the general was trying to string Alex along and force him to fight. If he doesn’t he would be treated no different from the tyrant gang leader and many will seriously believe there is a relationship between the two. He remained silent for a while before responding.

“Stringing along a mere A-rated deviant just for personal reasons is quite diabolic even for you. As far as I’m concerned you are a tyrant just like me... you are practically threatening him.... Shameless” The Tyrant gang leader said furiously!

A battle involving S-rated individuals is not something an A ranker can participate in. In such a battle, Alex may die without knowing what hit him.

“Tens of thousands of kids were kidnapped by you and many more had died due to your actions. This battle determines the fate of this great nation... it’s only natural that as an American he will be willing to join the battle and lay down his life to assure victory if necessary.” General Firestorm said nonchalantly and Alex frowned.

He was sure his value to the country was high so the general won’t send him to his death but forcing him to take action against the tyrant gang leader is cruel, especially since it was obvious he didn’t want to fight the man!

Suddenly the flame surging around the old general intensified before charging forward!

“You will die before you even get the chance!” the Tyrant gang leader said coldly as he waved his hand and countless silver swords emerged behind him, racing towards the old general!

The general roared as he let out flurries of punches, releasing countless flaming fists that clashed with the silver swords directly.

Explosions after explosions, shockwaves after shockwaves erupted violently as the two continued attacking without hesitation. They were too locked deep into the attack that no one could do anything else!

“NOW! KILL HIM!” General Firestorm growled like an injured beast but Alex remained unmoving.

Hesitation could be written all over his face as he gazed at the two fighting. He noticed the tyrant gang leader looking at him from the corner of his eyes. The world watched to see what Alex would do!

Alex suddenly let out a furious scream as his eyes turned blood red. His skin turned blood red and he quickly released. Net of blood, sending it flying towards the tyrant gang leader!

His aura surged madly as the attack clearly had killing intent. Even though his face looked fierce, his eyes carried a hint of sadness. Firstly he wanted to break free from the Briggs to decide his fate. Yet, his fate is getting decided by the country now.
