161 Chapter 161: Strange but amazing match up

Alex and the Tyrant gang leader flew forward, chasing after the vines and dragging the crystal orb along. They believed if they followed it, they will get to the main body so they did not attempt to catch up immediately.

Even without speaking the same thoughts crossed their minds and they acted in perfect sync. For some reason, even though this man beside him should be his enemy and probably has the strength necessary to one-shot him, he felt incredibly comfortable around him.

It was probably the same feeling he had around Silver. Someone who truly understands him.

“Is there something you want to say?” The Tyrant gang leader asked calmly. He seemed to sense Alex’s gaze.

“Are you really SS rated?” Alex asked.

Just like Wilder Briggs and Mr. Hall, this guy should be SS-rated but he didn’t have the same fierce aura as they did. In fact, he should take off his disguise and walk amongst a crowd, so no one would notice.

“Not really. I’m somewhere in between the S ratings and the SS ratings” the silver-haired man said casually. He didn’t seem bothered by Alex’s question even though he knew the world was watching.

“Back in Florida, you said something about our abilities being the same, does that mean I will l be able to steal people’s abilities from others as you do?” Alex asked this question but this time he sounded unsure of his theory.

“hahaha! And what makes you think I can steal a person’s powers?” the tyrant gang leader asked while laughing.

“Well, just call it a guess... I have no method of backing this theory up.” Alex replied.

“Then I guess your gut feeling is quite accurate... we have the same ability but different variants. You awakening the gravity manipulation is normal... I too awakened a second ability” The tyrant gang leader said casually leaving everyone stunned including Alex.

People leaned closer toward whatever device used to watch the stream, they all wanted to know the secret of Alex’s ability.

“How? I thought the serum was created by ....”

“Danny Ainsworth... He created two of those serums.... I have the first and you have the second...” The tyrant gang leader shrugged his shoulders as he spoke.

“As for how I got stronger fast, I used the same method as you are doing now...” He added calmly.

He made sure not to state the method as he didn’t want to create any unwanted issues for Alex.

“Who are you?” Alex finally asked.

He couldn’t hold back that question anymore.

The more he spoke to this man the more mysterious the man became in his eyes. No matter what he wanted to believe his gut feeling kept screaming that this man is not the enemy.

Either way, Alex didn’t have the liberty to dwell on such thoughts any more than usual as countless vines could be seen racing towards them

“Its core is close. Prepare for a hard fight!” the tyrant gang leader said as his eyes glowed and his body vanished.

Appearing even higher, behind him were thousands of silver energy swords! His eyes turned cold as he flicked his fingers and the countless blades rained down on the vines, halting their advance!

Alex didn’t need to get told what to do as he dashed forward into the battlefield fearlessly! He was at the center of the bombardment yet not even a single attack hit him. It wasn’t because he was trying to evade it but because the tyrant gang was watching over him!

No matter how many vines tried to get close to him, none could make it past the silverswords!

“Thank you!” Alex said coldly as he began inhaling continuously and his body was completely covered in blood, forming his blood demon form again!

His dull eyes lit up with fierce flames as his fists were engulfed in a mixture of blood and flames.

Alex flew out of the main battlefield only to see what he could call a city covered in vines the shape of a flower and a massive red pear shaped head with razor-sharp teeth.

Alex could see the massive crystals being drawn towards the mouth and he frowned.

“I will be taking that back!” Alex said coldly as he gripped the air and pulled.

His body was completely surrounded by a blackish invisible force, pulling everything towards him with a power far fiercer than the one he used when protecting the helicopter!

He gripped the purgatory snake’s whips and his blood flames surged through it, as they began lashing around forming. A fiery storm around him!

The fierce suction force began pulling the vines carrying the crystal core while other vines were getting pulled in, shredded and burnt!

Alex stood at the center of the formation like an ancient god. He watched as numerous vine spears were launched toward him but he didn’t bother trying to dodge!

The main purgatory snake ship was shrouded by the invisible force while the flames surged around it. He wasn’t scared of it breaking easily!

Countless vine arrows smashed into the purgatory storm but none cod breakthrough. Alex knew that unless the enemy used its most powerful move he doesn’t need to worry.

In fact, he was even stunned by the fact it was yet to use the move even with someone as powerful as the tyrant gang leader here. He was beginning to suspect that the enemy doesn’t have the means to use the move in rapid succession.

He guessed that’s why it didn’t use the second spear quickly, it needed some time to gather enough power to create such a powerful attacking ability!

“I guess this is my chance to make a comeback” Alex said coldly as he began shooting forward like a flaming meteor towards the massive red core of the mutant plant!

At this point, all vines stopped resisting the gravity power and began bombarding Alex’s firestorm!

Alex frowned as he saw numerous vines combine to strike his firestorm, and with each hit, the purgatory snake whips trembled violently!

“It won’t hold out for long!” Alex said coldly! If he wants to win this fight he may have to forgo all forms of defense and focus purely on offense but it was too risky!

“Don’t worry, you have stalled the enemy long enough,” The calm voice of the silver-haired man boomed into the sky as fierce golden flames surged around his body like him.

“This is where the comeback begins” The tyrant gang leader said before he began shooting toward the core of the plant without a care of the world.

Countless vines ignored Alex as soon as they acknowledged the greater threat and focused all their attacks on the tyrant gang leader!

“I won’t let you!” Alex said as his eyes turned pitch black and the vines felt like a mountain as fallen upon them, making the struggle to gather any form of momentum.

The tyrant gang leader flew past it and there his hands apart! Quickly the fierce golden flames around him took the shape of countless flaming spears before rushing down to the enemy!

It was like the divine retribution of a true God!

“KILL!!!” Alex growled as his flaming blood body surged with power and numerous red blood flaming swords formed, racing towards the enemy.

The two waves of attacks shook the skies fiercely as the crystal core was finally pulled towards Alex!

The world stood on its toes as they stood and waited to see the defeat of the demon-level plant beast!

Suddenly a strange sound shook the skies as all the vines returns to the main core, wrapping around it like a shell.

Explosions rocked the entire place as it was been bombarded by the attack but strangely the attacks couldn’t penetrate its body!

“Get back!” The tyrant gang leader growled as he grabbed Alex by the shoulder and vanished, appearing a few hundreds of meters away.

The big green shell suddenly forcefully pulled itself off the ground as it levitated, flying even high! Its body shivered as its tendrils spread open Like a flower. The red center opened up like an eyelid revealing a massive eye at the center!

This beast was the size of a mini sun while Alex looked like a midget comparable to it. He gazed at the massive foe and couldn’t help but wonder.

Is this what I was planning to beat all alone?

He found his original intentions to defeat the beast alone laughable and probably disgusting. Who is he to even consider facing demon threat level mutant plant! His place is in the escaping helicopter! This is a battle for the S rated deviants and humans not a person who is A-rated at most

“You finally showed your true form... I guess this is where the real fight begins” the tyrant gang leader didn’t seem anxious, instead it sounded like he knew this would happen.

His aura exploded into a silver pillar of light, burning fiercely!
