151 Chapter 151: Bold statements

“Since we don’t need the formalities I will ask a few questions and I require honest answers” the president said calmly while leaning back. His eyes were like that of an eager while he gazed at Alex it looked like it would pierce his soul.

Meanwhile, Alex remained as cool as ice, unmoved by the man’s attempt to intimidate him. He simply nodded at the man’s words and adjusted his sitting posture.

“How many deviants abilities do you have?” The president asked.

“Two” Alex responded without hesitation.

The president seemed to inhale deeply as his eyes revealed a hint of excitement that was meant to stay hidden. He quickly reverted to his normal, indifferent form and asked another question.

“How is that possible?”

Hearing this, Alex looked at him as if he was gazing at the biggest idiot in the world.

“You all set me up to be used as a test subject for project power, now you ask me how it happened? How am I supposed to know?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Alex had a specialist ability time infused into his genes... My guess is that he also had specialist dormant cells which prompted the awakening of his actual deviant abilities made dormant by the Demon-kin secret technique practice” Silver said casually but there was a strange look on his face.

“Is there something else I should know?” The president asked with a raised eyebrow.

“After digging deep into the Ainsworth database, I realized that the serum used on Alex during the experiment was created by Danny Ainsworth.... That was the last of it, so I believe even if someone else should go through the same process as Alex, without that special serum the outcome will not be the same as him” Silver said thoughtfully, stunning even Alex.

Seeing the shock on Alex’s face the president confirmed even Alex was unaware of this. He leaned back and thought for a while before speaking.

“Isn’t Danny Ainsworth your elder brother who died in a lab experiment some years ago?” The president said calmly.

“He was killed by the Ainsworths. He is the only reason project power exists... he saw the mortality rate of the experiment was too high and tried to stop it, so they killed him” Silver said coldly with clenched fists.

“He was your favorite from what I heard. You wanted to be just like him and his death at the hands of your family broke your heart, that’s why you dragged Alex into creating a new family and hope one day you can rival the big four, then you will drag them into an all out war with the Ainsworths... You do know your selfish intentions will cause the death of many of these people you call family now?” The president said with a cruel smile while Silver looked away.

He looked like a kid who got caught doing something bad. Alex gazed at Silver for a while in silence and sighed. He really didn’t know Silver’s motivation for creating a new family with him before but back then he was sure, Silver didn’t do it for good reasons.

“Don’t you think the rest of your small family needs to know this or are you trying to be selfish just like the Ainsworths?” the president kept pushing!

Right now, Silver’s face was as red as blood as he gazed away from Alex’s direction. He felt guilty about the whole thing and felt like he couldn’t face Alex again.

“If you think general Firestorm can stop me from ripping your throat out then continue talking... But if you have some doubts about the old man’s abilities, I suggest you remain quiet before I do something... violent” Alex said coldly stunning the president and every other person present.

Did Alex just threaten the president!

“Alex!” General Firestorm roared as he stood on his feet and his eyes lit up!

A fierce blue aura exploded from his body surging dangerously but Alex revealed a cruel smile in response!

“When you speak to me, LOWER YOUR TONE!” Alex growled as his eyes turned black and an immense pressure fell on general Firestorm!

Alex’s body quickly turned red as well as a fierce blood aura exploded, surging fiercely! His body released strange red mists, the president stunned, as well as general Firestorm!

“He mastered it! The third stage of the Demon-kin secret technique! Blood demon!” The president seemed more excited than terrified!

He gazed to the side and realized the legs of the general were trembling!

Under the immense gravity power of Alex, a deviant whose power only is to generate and manipulate fire would fall! Only enhancers’ strong physical abilities can withstand this power!

“You!” the general’s eyes turned cold as his body was lit aflame yet Alex sat there and gazed at him with the same cruel smile in his eyes!

“Whoever I, Alex decides to protect not even God can harm him!” Alex said confidently!

The atmosphere in the room dropped as it seemed the duo would soon engage themselves in a fierce battle! But then the president stepped in and held the general by the shoulder.

“That’s enough” the president said calmly and only then did the general calm down.

He looked at Alex strangely. This is not the same youth who used to work for him about a year ago. This kid is completely different from before and more terrifying!

“You are really not afraid of an S-rated deviant” The president said with a calm smile on his face.

The standoff was a means for him to gauge Alex’s strength and resolve. And he was surprised by how confident Alex looked even when standing in front of a more powerful opponent.

“Even if Wilder Briggs is here, I won’t be afraid... If this country decides to turn me into a test subject, I’m still confident I can escape with my friends... necessary preparations have been made ahead of time, so why should I be afraid?” Alex said calmly making the president frown.

He found it hard to believe Alex’s words but he also had no reason not to. The problem for the man wasn’t Tracy and other members of the nameless. The problem is Alex and Silver! There is a reason why these two were called the invincible duo and they have always proven they deserve the name!

The two are unpredictable and when he read the reports on how Mr. White and his Subordinates were killed, he felt genuinely terrified of the duo.

Having them as an ally rather than an enemy would be more profitable for both sides.

“So I guess you are okay with his secret plans of destroying the Ainsworth family?” The president asked calmly.

“If Silver decides to take on the world... I will stand as his knight... Always and forever” Alex said confidently.

Hearing this even the cold-hearted Silver was touched and he turned to look Alex in the face.

The president was stunned by this too, he never thought their bond was that strong.

“As long as you can keep proving your worth I have no issues with you... More resources will be allocated according to your achievements” The president said after a while.

He leaned forward and continued.

“You will have to leave the shadows now and come into the light as the knight of the United States! The power and influence of this country have been diminishing recently and you are the perfect candidate to restore it” The president said with a stern look.

“I don’t move as a separate entity... When I move, I move under the name of the Nameless... We are the family that will make this country great again” Alex said calmly.

He wasn’t going to let the country turn him into a personal tool. If they want his help, they will be seeking the help of the entire family, that way everyone grows together.

“You know what I’m talking about! We are practically the future of our country... Once you make your debut as a Briggs with two specialist type deviant abilities, everyone will want you dead, even people within the country! Dragging the family along will put them in danger” The president said with a stern look.

“Everyone I chose is exceptional and quite capable... As for our safety, you don’t have to worry, I have my methods... ” Alex said confidently.

Hearing this the president frowned and remained silent for a while. He seemed to be contemplating something.

After a few minutes of silence, the president leaned back once again and sighed. This is the first time he has been forced into this position in a negotiation. He is used to everyone accepting what he has to say without questioning his orders.

“These kids are more capable than their grandfather” The president couldn’t help but admit.

He leaned forward again and with a sigh he had no other choice but to submit.

“The big four are the core of our country’s strength... If you wish to remove them or replace them, you must prove you have more to offer! Only then will I support any campaign you choose to embark on against them” the president said.

“You don’t have to worry Mr president...We are called the invincible duo for a reason... We are the absolute” Alex said confidently.
