129 Chapter 129: Replaceable!

“Scanning... Scanning... Alex Briggs detected... Capture!” The enhancer robot said in a mechanical voice as it strangely moved forward and a purple light burst from his body, causing it to disappear almost instantly!

Swoosh!

The towering figure was already behind Alex with its hands pressing down on Alex gently. It seemed like a simple gesture but the power surrounding this gesture was quite terrifying!

ROAR!

KILL!

Alex dared not hold back as his aura burst out violently and his fist struck towards the massive hand recklessly!

Boom!

A powerful shockwave erupted between the two combatants, stunning many! The purple light slowly suppressed the white and black light, slowly swallowing it!

Seeing this Silver frowned. He wished Alex had listened to him and run but in a battle between two powerful beings, people like him whose specialty lies in plotting and planning have no business being involved in such a fight!

Shockwaves kept erupting as open palm kept pressing against Alex’s fist, causing him to fall to his knees! The ground beneath his feet shattered and his knees burrowed deep into the ground but even Alex kept struggling fiercely.

His eyes looked cold with no hesitation or form of fear in them! At this point most of the soldiers readied their weapons hopelessly, they believed Alex would lose this contest of strength so they prepared for the worst silently but then Alex’s enraged cry caught their attention!

“YOU DARE!!!!” Alex bellowed as his eyes turned white!

Suddenly the enhancer robot lost its footing and was sent flying towards the air abruptly stunning people! It seemed to do suddenly that Alex would instantly overpower it but they just had to accept what their eyes could see!

Flight mode activated!

The mechanical sound echoed once again and twin boosters appeared from the robot’s back and a purple beam of light shot out of it, sending it flying towards Alex!

“Enhancer: One hit, Kill” the purple eyes suddenly turned red as those words were spoken by a lifeless voice!

Its fists suddenly began spinning like a drill as purple power surged around it fiercely while it descended.

“RUN!” Silver screamed at Alex but Alex ignored his words and took in the fifth breath while gazing at the robot encased in a powerful purple storm while it descended.

“DO YOU THINK I, ALEX AM SCARED OF YOU? I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT TRUE POWER LOOKS LIKE!” Alex bellowed as he cast the silver statue secret technique, covering his body with his silver armor!

His aura surged violently as his body shot into the skies with both fists clenched!

Rumble!

Intense rumbling sounds escaped his body as he surprisingly jumped ridiculously high, making it look like he could fly but actually he was using the gravity ability to send himself towards the enemy!

BOOM!

The skies shook as the two collided! Following the powerful shockwave, numerous explosions erupted above and two figures who out like missiles, crashed into the ground violently, crashing into the crater

From one of the craters, the enhancer jumped out. Its eyes seemed calm as usual and it showed no expression. Except for the dust on its black coat, it didn’t seem to have sustained any extra damage.

The enhancer robot walked towards the crater calmly. It seemed not to be in a hurry as he strode towards the hole gently as if everything was going according to plan!

“COCKY!” Silver growled furiously but he didn’t dare move.

His voice caught the attention robot as it turned and gazed in its direction quietly! After a few seconds, it said some words that sent chills running down the spine of everyone around.

“Silver Ainsworth.... Capture!” the mechanical voice said.

Instantly, all the soldiers around Silver slowly retreated fearfully. The sergeants leading each team were only C-rated at best while most of the army is comprised of normal only trained on how to use the gun.

On a battlefield like this, apart from Alex, Silver is easily considered the strongest here. So if a robot like this is able to beat Alex and they are weaker than Silver, why would they even bother trying to protect him?

While the robot was distracted Alex shot out of the crater with both hands surging with his aura. His eyes were pure white while his skin was slightly red as he threw both fists forward without hesitation!

Kill!

Contrary to everyone’s expectations a bright purple shield appeared and took the attack head-on!

Alex slid back, coldly gazing at the project enhancer robot that had refocused its attention on him.

“This will be difficult” Alex admitted with a frown on his face. His fists were already covered in blood but he is yet to deal any damage to the robot.

“Status report!” General Firestorm said coldly.

“All special unit leaders deployed on all war fronts have been attacked by the enhancer prototypes!

“All of them?” General Firestorm asked with a raised eyebrow. The look on his face exposed the fact that he was not totally ignorant of the involvement of the project prototypes.

He probably expected it but still lead them there for the sake of gathering information.

“Good... Good! What’s their status?” General Firestorm asked casually.

“Three team leaders are dead... Five are still struggling” his assistant said and General Firestorm sighed.

“Should we intervene? We can send back up and reduce casualties....” The lady hastily said but she was cut off by the old general.

“Don’t do a thing!” he growled.

“This war is still at the early stages... this is us using the replaceable tools to gauge each other’s strength... we are yet to send in the true deviant forces and humans with beast gears... we can’t afford to expose our true strength now...”The General said with a frown.

“Sir, Alex Briggs is still struggling! I’m not sure he can hold on much longer” The lady said.

“Then he died for his country! He won’t be the first, neither will he be the last so get over it” General Firestorm said cruelly.
