78 Chapter 78: Unstoppable Spear

The Liberal state bank was rocked by a powerful explosion preventing as a massive man shot out, charging forward. The man had a bag tied to his body as he charged forward like a rocket, shooting through everything in his path.

His body was surrounded by some sort of energy as ran, preventing anyone or anything from getting in his way.

About close to a thousand meters away, a black Limousine packed calmly while other vehicles scrambled away. It seemed to await the coming of the deviant thief.

Alex sat inside and kept gazing out the window with a weird look on his face. He turned to look at Silver only to see a grumpy face.

“Andrew, leave the car here and retreat. I suspect even with the second stage of the demon-kin technique I won’t be able to stop its advance... I can only draw its attention” Alex said thoughtfully.

“Yes, Master...” Andrew’s voice could be heard and then the sound of the driver’s seat’s door opening and closing followed.

The last time he fought Cherry he realized that his strength was only able to drift into the C ratings if he goes all out. The gap between C and B ratings is like the difference between the heavens and Earth, yet this deviant is a C rated deviant rumored to have the strength of a B rated guardian.

As long as the thief can stand and run forward he can amass the strange power that makes him invincible. The faster he runs, the stronger he becomes.

“It is said no one at the C ratings can compare to his destructive power... Is that true?” Alex asked through his earpiece and Tracy responded.

“Yes, dear... Can I call you dear?” Tracy seemed flustered and Alex just chuckle inwards but his eyes remained calm. Right now he felt what Tracy was doing is absolutely cute.

“You can call me whatever you want” Alex said in a smooth voice making Silver frown.

Here he is thinking he could take advantage of everything and have fun but it backfired. He could only watch Alex and Tracy flirt with each other.

Silver screamed getting their attention. His eyes looked murderous as he gazed at Alex.

“After this guy, it’s you and me! We will settle our problems right here” He screamed furiously and Alex simply chuckled in response.

“You will lose, don’t do it little brother” Tracy warned and Silver’s face turned pale.

She doesn’t even have faith in her little brother!

He wanted to speak but he saw Alex frowning deeply, prompting him to look out the window too. Although he hasn’t seen anything, he could guess the deviant is drawing closer.

Alex left the car and slammed the door without warning. His eyes were as clear as the sky as he gazed at the figure smashing cars away from a distance while heading their way.

From the information gotten on the man, Alex found out the man calls himself the unstoppable spear. He believed no matter how much a person tried they will never be able to stop him.

Either way, Alex has no intentions of calling him such a stupid name.

He gazed at the man with a bulky figure, wearing a black sleeveless tank top shirt with green military camouflage pants. With the bags strapped to his bags, rushing forward, not bothering to dodge obstacles. Police vehicles chased after him fiercely while shooting all kinds of weapons at him but none could penetrate the invisible force surrounding him. The ability to run so fast, that one can match the speed of a car should be only done by an enhancer blessed with superhumans speed but Alex didn’t seem to mind.

They had very little information on the man and another thing he noticed was that this man has been involved in many robbery operations in recent years and no matter how much they tried, no one could find him whenever it’s is over. He vanished and popped up at will, making Alex believe this man had a powerful backer willing to hide him and cover his tracks after he was done playing outside.

“This won’t be easy” Alex muttered but also took notice Silver was yet to exit the car.

From back then till now, he still hasn’t figured out the real abilities of the Ainsworth family, and Silver who is considered the most talented amongst them is even more mysterious. Maybe it’s because he simply didn’t care or maybe deep down he felt he would win Silver in a one-on-one fight if something goes down, maybe that’s why he has never bothered to look deep into his secrets.

“Remember, other guardians from various organizations have been deployed as well, do not make the Angel Beats Agency look bad!” Angel’s voice rang in Alex’s ears as he watched what was going on on the news.

The helicopters above covered the event and Angel could only sit and bite his fingernails in anticipation. As per their deal, he would allow them to act independently, just like every other high rated guardian in the organization. While the unblockable spear may no be a B rated guardian like Cherry who Alex fought in the past, but he is one of the top ranking C-rated deviants in the world, he could easily rank among the top ten.

With the interference of other guardians from other agencies, he should be calm but Angel wasn’t. He knew that there is no way a B rated guardian or an A rated guardian would be sent to deal with an issue where only one C rated guardian is involved.

Meanwhile, in the world of Guardians and heroes, the harsh reality is that all guardians see themselves as competitors and not allies. He knew Alex will soon be dragged into a messy fight and he knew their safety will be at risk...

“Little brother, I suggest you leave now before something bad happens to you” a man dressed in a red jacket, black shirt, and joggers approached.

He was bald and he wore a strange smile on his face. Normally a C rated guardian like this wouldn’t be too nice to just any civilian but he noticed the exotic car behind Alex and guessed Alex is from a very wealthy family so he tried not to offend him if necessary.

“I am representing the Angel Beats Agency... You don’t have to worry about my welfare... ” Alex said dismissively and didn’t even bother glancing at the man.

“Is that so? What name do you go by? If I may ask...” The man looked more inquisitive as gazed at Alex with doubtful eyes.

He refuses to believe someone as young as Alex can become a guardian so easily. Even if what Alex said is true, the man believed that Alex may have used his family wealth to buy his way here. His lips twisted in disgust as he felt was right because Alex simply didn’t answer him. He felt like his guess must have been right.

“I am Fire sparrow, Rank 139 C class guardian rank and rank 1758, C class world ranking... I know you must have heard of me but I like keeping a low profile, you don’t have to look too shocked” Fire sparrow said with his chest pushed forward.

He expected Alex to look at him with eyes filled with admiration and jealousy just like all the little kids do when he tells them he is a guardian but none of that happened.

“I am Alex Briggs” Alex replied calmly.

Hearing this, both Fire sparrow and every other guardian around turned around to gaze at Alex in shock. They all looked like they have seen a ghost.

The car door yanked open and an incredibly handsome youth with bright silver hair and eyes walked out. Unlike Alex who wore his normal black and black attire, this person wore a high tech white battle suit. The air around him stunk of money and royalty.

“Silver, why is Andrew here? I thought I asked him to leave?” Alex said calmly.

He had noticed Andrew’s presence draw close so he guessed Silver must have called him back.

“You are such a mean guy... You were going to let the poor man run on foot when he can just drive away... You need to work on your emotions Alex... Maybe you can be a good boyfriend if you do” Silver sneered.

“Of course, I will...” Alex said calmly but a vein bulged on Silver’s forehead when he heard the reply. He suddenly didn’t fancy the idea of Alex dating Tracy.

“Who is this guy?” Silver quickly change the topic as he shot Fire sparrow a questioning glance.

“One sparrow dude... He claims to be a guardian” Alex responded nonchalantly as he walked forward.

“oh” Silver responded dryly as he followed Alex.

They both began walking towards the approaching Unstoppable spear with a calm look on their face.

“I guess we will have to stop him here” Silver said calmly.

“Yep... Let’s do it” Alex replied confidently.
