77 Chapter 77: Silver’s plan

Alex heard this and frowned. His eyes revealed complex emotions as he inwardly refused to accept Tracy’s words.

Yes, that was his first kiss but that wasn’t because he couldn’t get a girlfriend.

In reality, he knew he could be considered handsome, he also had a powerful background, wealth, and strength. Any girl would fall to his feet if he just asks. But the problem now is that he wasn’t the search of a girl now. He believed he had more important things to deal with and even now he didn’t see the need for that.

“I did... I was confused... It doesn’t make any sense if you get a surprise kiss without an explanation” Alex shrugged his shoulders as he spoke.

His voice was calm and collected but it felt like a dagger striking Tracy’s heart. She believed this is the part where they both get emotional and spit out their true feelings for each other before making out.

At least that’s how it happens in movies she watches. But now, Alex was as cold as an ice sculpture! He didn’t expose even one hint of emotion.

“You don’t know why I kissed you? Do tell me you haven’t noticed?” Tracy said as she tried to regain her composure.

She believed the person who lets their emotion get the best of them will lose!

“Occasional weird behaviors... You blush more often... You are more worried about me these days... Even a fool will know what’s going on... You are catching feelings... ” Alex said calmly as he adjusted the pillow.

“Don’t you think that’s a dangerous thing to do?” Alex asked with a raised eyebrow.

Tracy frowned but she wasn’t ready to retreat here. She refused to answer Alex’s question and asked hers.

“If you know all of this then why haven’t you reciprocated the feelings? Why do you act like you don’t notice? If I didn’t bring it up you wouldn’t even bother making a move” Tracy complained but Alex wasn’t fazed.

His eyes looked dull as usual as he glanced around before returning his cold gaze to Tracy.

“If someone who has never been nice to you suddenly became nice, wouldn’t you feel suspicious? Alex said with a strange look.

“Now I believe I deserve to know this... When did you start developing these feelings?” Alex asked calmly.

Tracy was stunned by what was happening and confused as well. She is extremely pretty and many people would be willing to have her. Yet someone right now just sat there and questioned her casually. His eyes showed no interest and for some reason, there was a hint of suspicion in them.

The man she finally picked was questioning his feelings. Normally she would think she would feel insulted by this but what she felt was the opposite. She felt excited...

“When you fought Wilder to protect us... I didn’t think you would risk your life and your position in the Briggs family just to protect me” Tracy said calmly as she picked his hand and place it on her soft, bouncy chest.

Alex didn’t withdraw his hand but his eyes remained the same.

“I didn’t just protect you, I protected Silver too... By the way, I hard the conversation... You guys were willing to risk your lives for me, I simply did the same” Alex explained calmly but his voice had grown softer.

At least he finally knew why she has been acting weird and he understood why. Many men would be willing to say anything just to get a night with a beautiful lady but when it’s time to act they will vanish. If he were in her position, Alex knew he would feel the same way.

“Can I ask something?” Tracy said softly. Her silver eyes were incredibly beautiful, even Alex couldn’t help but admit that inwardly.

“Go ahead” He said calmly.

“Do you have feelings for me?” Tracy asked.

“I will be honest here... I have never had a crush... I have never been in love... I can develop feelings for whoever I want... That’s just how it is”Alex answered honestly.

“Great! Although it’s not the answer I was hoping for, I still appreciate the honesty... Since you can develop feelings for anyone and you are not taken, I don’t mind putting the effort to build the relationship” Tracy said with a bright smile, leaving Alex stunned.

She is really serious about dating him!

“What do you have in mind?” Alex asked calmly.

“How about some missions... I know we have enough points already but it wouldn’t hurt to get more experience” Silver walked into the room with a tab in his hands.

His eyes fell on Alex’s hand which was still on Tracy’s firm chest and he assumed this is the part where Alex will panic and let go of her before explaining but Alex didn’t do that instead he acted as if none of this concerned Silver.

“I guess I have been indoors for a while... It won’t hurt to stretch” Alex said calmly but even then he didn’t let go of her chest.

Silver didn’t know how to react here. He planned all of them from the start! To seal the deal in his plans and make it harder for Alex to break away from him, he created the perfect scenario where Alex would look heroic in front of Tracy.

While she may try to wear a cold look when dealing with others, Silver is her brother and knows what she really seeks in a man.

Someone willing to protect her with his life, not just say mere words.

She only jumped in to defend Alex back then while he was unconscious because she realized Silver was willing to fight the old monster there and then so she stepped in, hoping her grandfather would interfere and stop Wilder Briggs, but Silver knew it would never happen.

Knowing the nature of his grandfather, he knew that would never work. The old man would rather watch Wilder Briggs beat them to the brink of death than ruin his highly profitable cooperation with the Briggs.

And that’s where Alex comes in. The only one bold and crazy enough to go against the entire country if necessary is Alex Briggs and just as expected, he didn’t disappoint.

Everything had gone according to plan and Tracy was willing to spend more time here and take care of him it was going even better than he expected.

While Tracy was shy with a scorching red face, Alex looked cold and indifferent as usual. His eyes were as calm as the ocean on a sunny day as he gazed at Silver.

“Why are your hands on her chest? At least let go of it now I am here!” Silver said with twitching eyes.

Alex seemed indifferent as he turned his attention to his hand on her chest and frowned.

“Oh” He said with a slight frown as he slowly let go of it.

His eyes shifted back to Silver calmly before he spoke.

“What mission do you have in mind... I think I’m in the mood to save a few lives” Alex said coldly.
