53 Chapter 53: Super mode Alex

Seeing the sudden change, Alex’s smile vanished and was replaced with shock. He failed to understand how the bat mutant bat beast was able to use the blue gem to heal its wound but he found it plausible. But seeing it directly channel the power through its body, Alex was horrified.

He only entertained the thought of absorbing the power of the blue gem using the matter absorption ability. If he didn’t have such an ability he wouldn’t dare attempt something so dangerous.

He watched the power surge through the body of the mutant beast, spreading all the way to its eyes. His eyes squinted as he realized the mutant bat had a method of containing the power of the blue gem.

<> Alex mumbled in his head.

The eyes of the beast were raging blue and its body was surrounded by raging blue sparks of energy. Bolts of blue lightning surged around it and just by gazing at it, Alex felt the threat of death looming over his head. He felt like the cold blade of the grim reaper scythe as be gently placed at his throat.

“Damn”

That was all Alex could mutter as the beast charged forward. It turned into a blue bolt of lightning, shooting towards Alex. Pushing the second form of his demon kin technique to its limit, Alex could barely react to the attack. He barely raised his hands to block before he got hit by the blue bolt of lightning.

Boom!

Alex was sent flying like a cannonball as he smashed through the concrete wall, flying out of the building!

Alex smashed into a forklift below, spitting out a mouthful of blood. His vision blurred and before he could even breathe, the blue bolt of lightning smashed into him forcing him to open his mouth and scream but no sound could be heard. He felt like all the air in his lungs was pulled out, leaving him light-headed and unable to speak.

<> Alex screamed in his mind.

At this point, he felt extremely weak. He never thought he would be put in a situation where he is unable to struggle at all. He shot a glance at his hands and noticed the beast was able to tear through his armor even though he absorbed the materials of the powerful black spear.

Alex was not even given a chance to struggle as he got hit from the side and was sent flying into a cluster of bricks.

He just hit the bricks but the mutant bat was already above him, swinging down madly!

Alex was rammed into the ground, creating a meter deep crater. His black body was filled with cracks and from those cracks, blood kept leaking out. At this point, Alex’s thoughts were too jumbled for him to think straight. He didn’t even know where he was or what was happening around him, all he knew was that the massive bat clasped its hands together, forming a serious glob of intense blue energy around Its fists.

Alex’s eyes were barely open as he watched and waited for death fearlessly. Who would have thought he would be killed in his first adventure outside the walls?

Alex’s eyes lit up with power as a powerful shockwave erupted around him, sending the massive beast flying over a hundred meters away. Alex’s eyes lacked pupils as his body levitated off the ground. His hair fluttered uncontrollably and a powerful force seemed to surround him, preventing even specks of dust from reaching him. The mutant bat gazed at him with a hint of shock in its facial expression. It was obvious it didn’t expect Alex to wield such power!

Its body was already filled with cracks, indicating he won’t be able to sustain the power of the blue gem much longer.

“Come dog, I will make sure to kill you before the blue rock does...” Alex’s voice was filled with enough venom to kill ten men.

The mutant beast let out an enraged cry and its body was completely shrouded in blue bolts of lightning and it shot forward!

“COME! DOG!” Alex growled as he let his power flow uncontrollably and charge forward.

The blue and black figures clashed and suddenly looked like they are slowing down but suddenly they charged forward out of nowhere!

The two figures clashed countless times as they rose into the skies, attacking each other relentlessly none seemed to have the advantage.

“This..” The hunter muttered in shock as he dragged himself all the way to the edge of the room, as he watched the battle unfold!

The power Alex and the beast released far surpassed the level of mere wolf-level threats. He couldn’t help but remember when he met Alex facing the dog mutant beast. He also released a terrifying amount of power when his lie was at risk. In this mode, a mere D-rated hunter like him couldn’t compare so he decided to wait and watch. He believed he would get an opportunity to strike and take the spoils of war for himself.

Alex and the winged beast threw countless blows but none could harm the other. As they threw flurries of punches, Alex and the beast kept rising in the air but as they moved, Alex noticed the hunter’s figure observing them.

His eyes turned cold as he threw both fists forward and the mutant bat raised its hands to block!

It was sent flying back and without hesitation, Alex swooped down, shooting toward the hunter with murderous intent blazing in his eyes.
