Chapter 47

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
The man immediately grimaced as he read the message. He became annoyed, crumpled the paper, and threw it over to the other side of the counter. When his paper bag was full, he moved onto another bag and took out another hidden message from within.

[New mission. Investigate the target specified.]

‘God-DAMMIT!’

The man became furious. He requested to be taken out of the mission three times already, but his request was being ignored and instead he was getting more and more new missions.

‘Why am I stuck in this hell hole?’

He crumpled the message again and glanced toward his bag. The big man was moving through the magazines, but he was still eyeing himself still.

‘Ugh… this is crazy.’

He was frustrated. At first, he was only searched through his smartphone and his personal belongings. But starting two days ago, that ‘team leader’ began tagging along and stayed with him for 24 hours straight.

‘Dammit. Are they really trying to get me killed?! Damn PSBs!’

He pretended nothing was going wrong as he was being watched, but he couldn’t stand any longer. It was certain that he was almost uncovered on his mission. He even thought about escaping from all of this if it wasn’t only for ‘that.’

‘Dammit. Shit. FUCK!!!’

All he could do was curse from within. After crumpling another piece of paper, he moved over to another paper bag, pretending to put all purchased snacks into it. In the next bag, he took out a piece of l paper that had a picture printed on it.

‘Huh? Is it something form a movie?’

It was a picture of a medieval-fashioned man sitting within an interrogation room. In the middle of the picture, there was the name ‘Musung’ written down on it.

‘Who the hell is this guy, and why do they want me to investigate him? Ugh…’

After taking a good look at the picture, he crumpled it yet again and rolled over to the other side of the counter. Just during those 3 minutes of scanning items, he was able to take new missions.

“It’s 43,520 yuan. Please confirm your amount.”

“Sure.”

He had purchased a lot in order to drag as much as time he can, and it resulted in quite an amount. He scanned his fingerprint on his smartphone, and paid the amount with his phone’s payment system.

“Sir, it’s done.”

He grabbed four paper bags in his arms and walked out of the convenience store. The ‘team leader’ man reached into the paper bag to take out a can of soda and spoke.

“Why does it take so long?”

“I bought a lot, you see?”

The man answered as if there wasn’t anything wrong. Team Leader tapped on his forehead and growled in a low voice.

“Kin Jongse. I warned you multiple times. Don’t try to do anything funny. Don’t forget I am watching you.”

The man, Kin Jongse, became grim. He was annoyed by the warning, but he pretended he wasn’t and answered, “…Yes, sir.”

“If I find something… you know right? The thing inside of you will… BOOM!!”

Team Leader exaggerated his gesture by throwing his both arms open wide. Kin Jongse’s face darkened even more.

‘Dammit! I shouldn’t have taken this job! The prison would’ve been better than this!’

He regretted his choice when he noticed something.

“Sir, you have a phone call.”

The flexible smartphone on Team Leader’s wrist was flashing. He slapped his forehead as if he had forgotten about it.

“Oh, it was on silent mode. Hmm… huh!?”

He then quickly answered the phone.

“Yes, Director. It’s Hojung.”

Team Leader’s name was Hojung. He answered the phone, then became weird.

“Yes, sir. I will head over at once.”

He then hung up the phone and became curious.

“This is strange…”

“Is something up?”

“I heard a new guy was coming… but why does he sound so nervous?”

The Director would have spoken in his distinct arrogant tone, but his voice had a hint of urgency in it.

“…Isn’t it because the new guy is holding off?”

Kin Jongse knew very well what kind of things the Director did to new agents. But Hojung shook his head.

“You should come with me. Something might be up.”

“Huh? Me too?”

He was rarely taken to the Director’s office.

‘Oh!’

Maybe there was a chance. If the new agent was being hired, the director was definitely going to open the safe. Maybe it was a chance for Kin Jongse to try to find out the password to the safe.

“Let’s go.”

“Yes, sir!”

At the same time, in the director’s office—

“Yeah. Hurry!”

Yun Munpyung sighed in relief after he made the phone call to bring the antidote.

‘What is he thinking anyway?’

He then returned to being suspicious on what Chun Yeowun was thinking. It was certain that Chun Yeowun was planning something instead.

‘Maybe I should offer him something instead.’

Yun Munpyung then carefully opened his mouth.

“…Thank you for letting me take the antidote, sir. If there is ANYTHING you need… I can…”

It was then. Chun Yeowun reached toward his back, and something was sucked into his hand. And in that moment, Yeowun stuck something into Yun Munpyung’s neck.

Yun Munpyung’s eyes turned wide in shock as he realized what was being stuck into his neck. It was the syringe containing the blue liquid nano bomb.

“n-NOOOOOOOOOO!”

He felt the liquid moving into his body. It felt even more desperate than when he was given One Time’s.

Yeowun smiled and replied to him.

“Don’t thank me… you work for me now.”

‘Y… y… you BASTARD!!!’

Yun Munpyung couldn’t say anything out loud as he saw the detonation device in Yeowun’s hand. That’s when Yeowun reached toward the case again. Another syringe was sucked into his hand and Yeowun looked up on the ceiling of the office and spoke.

“Upstairs is the president’s room, right?”
