Chapter 20

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
‘Different axis of time…? Oh!’

Chun Yeowun then remembered what his descendant from the future had said to him. The descendant, Chun Musung, explained why he existed even though the past had changed in relation to the axis of time. With the different decisions or incidents happening in the past, the dimension of the universe was split up and changed the axis of the time.

‘Then that means this world is entirely different from the world I was in.’

Then the information from the timeframe Nano had in its database was useless. They had to start from zero when it came to collecting information.

‘How can we return to my world then?’

He had a reason to go back. Starting with the Demonic Cult he was leading, Mun Ku and his unborn baby were all in the past now. He couldn’t stay lost in time like this forever. Chun Yeowun then asked Nano.

‘Nano. When can we have the machine that moves time to… huh?’

Chun Yeowun stopped asking Nano and opened his eyes. He then looked up at the ceiling.

‘Huh? What’s he doing?’

Hou Ilgyung also became confused as Chun Yeowun began to act strangely.

2nd floor of Simyang City PSB Headquarters. The office of the Homicides Department was in a troubled state. All detectives were summoned to HQ, but they couldn’t find any answers to the situation. The Vice Director of the PSB was being held hostage, but there was no way to rescue him. The female detective with bruises on her face entered the office and the Chief spoke to her.

“Any problem with the rooms?”

“I checked through the camera. They aren’t not moving. The Vice Director is still safe.”

She just returned from the surveillance room to check on the interrogation room. Chief Song Wigang slammed the desk.

“Safe?! You call that safe?!”

They all saw the Vice Director being treated in right in front of their eyes. They witness both his shoulders and elbows being pulled out of their joints, along with Hou Ilgyung screaming in pain. He even pissed from the extreme pain.

“…At least he didn’t seem to inflict any more harm.”

The female detective answered with a hint of complaint in her voice. Song Wigang couldn’t meet her eyes. After all, Chief Song was the only person who couldn’t do anything against the criminal while in the room. He couldn’t go after the female detective, afraid that she might spill what happened in that room.

“Dammit! Where are the 5th Special Forces?”

He then questioned another detective in annoyance. The detective on the radio dispatcher answered carefully.

“They are not responding after the last message we sent an hour ago.”

“Hah…”

Song Wigang sighed. The Special Force would’ve arrived at Headquarters a long time ago if everything worked out. But they too had a problem on their way back. They were ambushed by Yulinians who seemed to be connected with the Yulinians they arrested on their bus. Because of that, the detectives were given no help from the special unit and they couldn’t do anything else but wait. Song Wigang became frustrated.

‘It’s only a matter of days before evaluations…!’

He didn’t think something like this would happen even in his dreams. The Vice Director was taken as a hostage right in front of his eyes. If he did not solve this issue, it was likely that he would get demoted.

“Dammit! And we don’t even have the criminal’s identity! This is shame to the Simyang PSB.”

“Sir…”

A detective spoke to Song Wigang who was in rage. Song Wigang shouted, “WHAT!”

“Why don’t we contact the Yulin Organization of Simyang instead?”

Song Wigang frowned. Everyone knew the reason why Song Wigang frowned. The Yulin Organization was not a government-owned entity. It was shameful contact private organizations just because government enforcement could not handle situation.

-Grit

Song Wigang gritted his teeth and spat.

“Nonsense! What do you think it will look like if we ask for help to…”

“I mean, can we at least ask for the man’s identity?”

“Identity?”

“You know the Yulin Organization is pushing for their own control over their members?”

“…Yeah.”

Chief Song Wigang became interested in the idea. In fact, they were sitting ducks at the moment. Any idea would help.

“They always try to solve their own problems. I think they will be interested in the unregistered Yulinian.”

“You mean, you want to use that as bait?”

“Yes. We can probably check if the man really is unregistered, and if they do show interest…”

“Then they will move in their own interest even without our request. That’s a good idea! You should’ve told me earlier.”

The detective frowned at Song Wigang’s complement. Anyhow, Song Wigang then searched through the contacts list for Simyang’s Yulin Organization and pressed the button on the phone.

-beep beep

After pushing the buttons, he was connected to the familiar sound of music through the phone.

-We are the proud descendants of Yulin. We will honor our ancestors for their honor and chivalry~

It was an old folk song with different lyrics. Song Wigang frowned as he heard the music.

“Ugh, look at their song! Are they still from 30 years ago?”

Before he could finish though, the song stopped and a voice came to him.

-Simyang Yulin Organization.

“Hello. This is Simyang PSB…”

-We are currently off our business hours. Please call back during normal…

“GOD DAMMIT!”

-Slam!

Song Wigang became furious and slammed the phone down onto the desk. It was almost midnight. It was of course, not business hours for any office.

“Dammit! Damn those stupid orgnizations! Do they even work?!”

Then, he heard tires skidding outside the open window. One of the detectives peeked out the window, and spoke with a bright face.

“Chief! The 5th Special Force is here!”
