Chapter 15

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
Three black sedans were moving toward Simyang City’s PSB Headquarters. In the backseat of the car, there was a middle-aged man with a beard, sitting arrogantly. He was the Vice Director of Simyang City PSB, Hou Ilgyung. He was second in command out of the entire PSB of Simyang City. But he seemed to be in a bad mood since he kept pestering the driver on their way down to headquarters.

“I mean, shouldn’t a person know when is a good time to mess up? I said I had very important work to do today! Why can’t you all do something about it so that your boss doesn’t have to return to work after working hours?”

‘Uh, I’m not sure why having an affair with a young woman is very important work…? Why is he a head of the PSB? Ugh.’

The driver thought to himself as he couldn’t say this out loud to a much higher ranking official of the PSB. Instead, he softened his voice and spoke assuringly.

“I know, right? Boss, why don’t you rain hell on them?”

The job required him to play along with his boss. But this boss wasn’t easy type to deal with. Hou Ilgyung frowned and spoke to the driver.

“YOU CRAZY? There’s a job to do, and I can’t rain hell on my guys for doing their job! If you don’t get your thoughts straight, you will be stuck doing driver work for the rest of your life.”

‘You mother f… !!!’

The driver almost cursed him out of his mouth but was able to hold back. Soon, they arrived at the headquarters of Simyang PSB.

Headquarters was comprised of three buildings. On the left was the traffics department, in the middle was the main office consisting of a lot of departments such as homicides and others, and the right was the building with the department handling people with special abilities and tactical forces.

As the car stopped in front of the middle building, a man in early 40s ran down the stairs to the driveway. He was Chief Song Wigang of the Homicides Department. Hou Ilgyung looked at the man coming down through the car window and mumbled.

“If it wasn’t for my promotion…”

There was an on-going evaluation for promotions going on, and if things were to go right, Hou Ilgyung had a chance to become the director. That is, if there weren’t any bad happenings.

“Sir.”

Chief Song Wigang opened the back door of the car and saluted toward Hou Ilgyung. Hou Ilgyung got off the car and nodded while tending to his suit.

“Yes. So, who is this crazy bastard that hurt our PSB families? Where is this guy?”

He asked as if he thought PSB agents were part of his family. As the car door closed, the driver shook his head and flashed his middle finger to Hou Ilgyung through the tinted car window. As both men moved into the main building, they got on the elevator going down to the 5th floor of the basement. Chief Song Wigang briefed what had happened on the way down. Hou Ilgyung became dumbfounded.

“What? The guy cracked both arms of ten of our guys inside the bus? And all of them were Tactical Force unit members?”

“…Yes, sir. The doctor reported that they all need surgeries to piece the broken bones back into place to start the healing treatment. It will take at least 3 weeks for them to heal.”

“Hah.”

The healing treatment was developed in 2047. It was a breakthrough in medical development that was developed in Germany, allowing the healing to take place at enormous speed. After this technology was developed, most treatments only took 2 weeks at most if it wasn’t chronic, so 3 weeks was quite long in comparison to most injuries.

“And you didn’t do anything to him?”

The Vice Chief was asking if the criminal was just kept safe when he injured many of PSB agents. The Chief shook his head with a frown

“He’s Yulinian, so we couldn’t do anything. Two teammates from Yimyung’s 3rd team tried, but they got hurt instead.”

The Chief saw that with his own eyes. The man just waved his hand casually, but two homicide detectives were thrown off to the walls. After that, nobody dared to even walk into the room where the man was being held.

“Ugh, Yimyung and his stupid team. Why don’t you just call in the 5th Strike Team? We’re talking about a Yulinian here. Why did they go in instead?”

“Sir… the entire 5th Strike Team was dispatched to the drug trading scene between the Yulinian groups from the Evil Forces and the Triad Gang…”

The Chief spoke carefully and the Vice Director Hou Ilgyung shook his head.

“Right. I almost forgot. But wasn’t that supposed to be at 4 PM? Isn’t it about time they return to HQ?”

“Yes, sir. I contacted them already. They are on their way back after arresting the criminals. They will be here soon.”

The Vice Director smiled satisfyingly. The drug cartel issue had been becoming a serious problem that was being specifically talked about on the press. It was a great achievement.

“That’s good. Very good.”

If it wasn’t for what had happened otherwise, it would have been a very good day. The Vice Director asked, “So, where is our crazy guy from? Is he from that Evil Force or something?”

“That’s…”

“Why? Where’s he from?”

“We couldn’t identify him. We do not know where he is from, sir.”

Chief Song Wigang’s words made Hou Ilhyung frustrated.

“So, he’s unidentified?”

He had never seen an unidentified Yulinian while he had been working as a Vice Director. He had heard of an unidentified Yulinian being arrested in other cities, but he had never thought the problem could also be his own.

“What does he say? Does he say anything?”

“He’s been silent ever since he came to HQ.”
