Simyang City University Medical Center Emergency Room.

The only place that was open at this compound at 6:30 PM was of course the emergency room. Medical staff were quickly moving patient Yimyung, the 3rd Team Leader of PSB Homicides Department, into the emergency room. He was bleeding profusely, but first-aid treatment was done on the medical vehicle enroute. He was in severe pain, but he did not faint or anything.

‘Ugh…’

On the way over to the emergency room, Yimyung had been wondering. The man who did not seem to give up no matter the circumstances suddenly stopped what he was doing and surrendered. It was certain that the man was up to something else instead.

As Yimyung was moved onto the bed, a doctor and a few nurses quickly ran up to Yimyung. The doctor shook his head.

“Ugh… you’re the third one now.”

There were two police officers from a nearby PSB station who had been hauled in here before Yimyung arrived. Yimyung was third patient from the PSB today.

“Please, stay still.”

The doctor walked over to the bed and began looking at the wounds. They had been treated a bit already, but it was still very painful.

‘Dammit. I knew I had a bad dream… but I didn’t imagine getting shot at because of some crazy psycho.’

Nonetheless, it was still better than dying. The doctor brought over a medical scissor and began cutting Yimyung’s clothes from top and bottom that were covering the wounds.

“You’ve done great work here.”

The doctor complimented emergency medical staff who worked to stop the bleeding. The doctor took off the linen wrap from the wound and spoke to the nurse next to him.

“Bring the antibiotics.”

“Yes.”

As the linen wrap was removed, Yimyung felt searing pain coming back to him and scowled. A bullet penetrated through it just moments ago, so it was still very painful. The doctor cleaned the blood off with dry linen and checked the wound on the shoulder. He soon curiously turned to the thighs.

“Aargh!”

He even pressed the punctured wound with his fingers. Yimyung rose up a little from the bed with a furious look at the doctor for touching his wound.

“Is it bad?”

The Tactical Force member who followed him over to the hospital asked the doctor seriously. The doctor however, shook his head and answered with a confused look.

“Uh, was he shot with a sniper rifle?”

“Yeah.”

“I guess he lives up to the title of team leader of PSB Homicides. It’s amazing.”

“Huh?”

The Tactical Force unit member and Yimyung both became confused. The doctor continued answering their questions.

“Well, we will have to look into it more closely, but it seems like these bullets penetrated through very cleanly. It’s the same with both shoulders and thighs. They didn’t touch any of the bones. Just the flesh part.”

The reason doctor pressed the wound with his finger was to see if there was any damage to the bone.

“If what I think is correct, we will only have to tend to the wound on outside, check to see if there are any infections, and that will be it. He will be able to be back on the work in a week, at least for simple desk jobs.”

Yimyunb became dumbfounded. Even if the medical technology was developed, he had figured this kind of wound would set him back for weeks in hospital at least, with severe damage to his muscles or bones.

‘…What in the world happened?’

He thought the out of time Yulinian had gotten him good. But if what the doctor said was true, then the man didn’t just use him as a meat shield — he intentionally aimed it so that Yimyung would not be hurt badly.

‘Is that… even possible?’

That was something hard to believe, even for a Yulinian. That’s when the phone rang in the emergency room. The nurse at the desk answered it.

“ER.”

It was an internal line calling in from inside the medical center. The nurse became serious as she heard the voice over the phone and hastily shouted, “Doctor! We have 10 more emergency patients coming in from the PSB!”

‘???!’

Yimyung and the Tactical Force unit member became shocked at the nurse’s words. The doctor frowned.

“PSB again?”

It had only been one hour since PSB Agents were coming in as patients. And now, the number increased to ten. It was almost a squad amount. The Tactical Force member asked the nurse carefully.

“Did you hear where the PSB patients are coming from?”

“I think I heard something about the 3rd Tactical Force or something… are you from there too?”

“W…what-”

Yimyung and the agent both became dumbfounded. They figured everything went well when the Yulinian said he would comply. This was not expected at all.

‘…What in the world is happening?’
