Chapter 12

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
Wiyang, the 3rd Tactical Force Squad Leader, became dumbfounded. Chun Yeowun, who didn’t seem to budge after every threat and persuasion suddenly stopped his hostility and agreed to cooperate with the PSB. It was truly a relief. He was shocked, but he had also just been saved from the verge of death as he almost got shot at. But there was a problem.

‘This is troubling.’

He first thought Chun Yeowun had given into the situation and fully surrendered. He figured that even if Chun Yeowun wanted to come out strong, he probably caved because he feared for his life. But the reaction he was showing wasn’t like one who had surrendered.

“S-squad leader?”

One of the Tactical Force members turned to him and was asking about what should be done. He had to step in.

“What do you mean you will not surrender your weapon?”

“It means exactly as I said.”

Chun Yeowun did not agree to handing over his weapons. In return, he threatened to cut down any who tried to lay their hands on his blades.

“…Look. You just told us you agree to be questioned at the PSB, and now you say you will not give up your weapon?”

“Weapons are life itself to a martial artist. Is it not common sense?”

“C-common sense?”

Wiyang became dumbfounded and was lost for words. Even Yulinians who had permission to carry weapons such as swords had to give up their weapons if they were being investigated or arrested by the PSB. There was no exception to this.

‘This is crazy.’

This man didn’t just dress like a man from the past, but even spoke like one out of a movie.

‘Ugh… is he some man from the past who just dropped to the present by a time machine? Gosh.’

Unbeknownst to Wiyang, he was very accurate in his guess. But of course, time machines did not exist in this time era so he didn’t even think that it could be a reality. Wiyang glanced around.

“Whoaaaaaaaa!”

Citizens who thought that the situation had been taken care of became relieved and came out onto the street, cheering for the victory of justice. Some even chanted PSB.

‘Dammit.’

If the PSB were to take the criminal into custody without confiscating his weapon and no handcuffs, then it was going to look very questionable. It was a disgrace. But he couldn’t stay here any longer and quarrel with this out of time weirdo.

‘Dammit… only if he wasn’t a Yulinian.’

He would have beaten the man into a piece of meat with a police stick and dragged him in. That’s when he heard a voice from his earpiece.

-Leader.

It was Lieutenant Sopyung. He just finished helping moving Yimyung, the 3rd Team Leader of the Homicides Department over to the medical van, trying to tend to his bleeding gunshot wounds. Sopyung had something in his hand.

‘Ah.’

Wiyang recognized what it was from the distance. He then grinned as he heard Sopyung speaking through the radio.

-Leader. You should use this.

It was borrowed equipment from the 5th Strike Force who specialized in handling criminals with supernatural abilities. He scolded his team for not returning the equipment on time just awhile ago on the bus, and now it seemed like it was going to save his life.

‘Good. For now…’

Wiyang then softened his voice to persuade Yeowun.

“Hey, look. You should give us some slack. We can’t just take you in like a guest when you just harmed our agents. That’s an escort.”

“I said I will agree to the investigation. But I have not surrendered to you.”

Wiyang frowned at the answer. He felt like he would explode in anger, but Chun Yeowun was right in saying that he never surrendered. Wiyang tried his best to calm himself and continued, “There’re eyes all over us. We are keepers of the Chinese law. Please, help us out with this one.”

“I clearly said I will not.”

Chun Yeowun had no sign of sympathy.

“Whew… Okay. Okay! I will give up on the weapons. You can keep weapons on yourself. But instead, can you at least have handcuffs on you until we bring you over to the bus? Once we get in, I will take it off immediately. Just at least pretend that you are being taken in for our sake.”

Wiyang almost pleaded, trying to persuade Chun Yeowun.

“Please. I beg of you.”

Chun Yeowun watched his eyes silently for a second, but pushed his both arms out, “Don’t try to play tricks.”

“O-of course!”

‘YES!!!’

Wiyang shouted cheers of excitement within him. But he tried to hide his emotions and thanked Yeowun for helping and brought Sopyung over with the handcuffs. Sopyung then came immediately and locked the handcuffs over Yeowun’s wrists.
