Chapter 191 191 – The Entrance

"Is everything okay?" I asked Lexi, who was in one of the large infirmary rooms at the base.

"For now, there is no rejection from the mothers' bodies." The doctor fixed her glasses position. "Maybe because there is a life sequence of their own species in the fetuses."

"Ah… If I remember correctly, there was a missing life sequence from that fairy's sample, right?" I looked at the mothers lying on the bed and being examined by the nurses. "So, you try to patch it with the life sequences of various species."

Lexi answered. "Even though the fairy is the guardian of the elves, her life sequence is different from the elf race itself. So, I did this experiment."

What we're talking about are DNA sequences. There was a piece missing from the fairy's severed hand.

I approach Dylia, the elf mother. Her daughter sat beside her bed.

That girl looked at me while holding her mother's hand.

"Forgive my daughter, lord Vorn." The mother gave a faint smile. "She always wants to be with me, even though I told her to wait outside."

I smiled back. "Not a problem at all. She will support you. That's an excellent thing."

It would be great if the mothers felt comfortable during this process. Lexi said it would make the experiment more optimal.

"Come on, Noel." The mother stroked her daughter's hair. "Say thanks to Lord Vorn."

The girl got off her chair, bowed, and said, "Thank you for giving us a place, lord Vorn."

I widen my smile

"What you all are doing is amazing." I started walking between the beds. "The sacrifices of all of you will be rewarded accordingly."

The mothers, consisting of the human race, succubus, lizardmen, and elves, answered in unison. "Thank you, my lord!"

Only one did not answer; Kayla, the vampire, just lay on the bed with her hands chained.

"How do you feel?" I walked up to the silver-haired woman. "Usually you hunt pregnant women, take their babies from the womb, and suck the blood of the babies, now you are growing fetuses in your body instead. I imagine this is a different experience, right?"

"My lord." Lexi approached me and whispered. "Words like that can make other mothers uncomfortable."

Kayla replied to my question with a sharp gaze. "The vampire kingdom will repay this humiliation many times over."

"They consider themselves a kingdom but don't have a defined territory. What a joke." Robyn, who was next to Kayla, joined in. "Sorry, I spoke up suddenly, my lord. But to be honest, she was really rude and made us uncomfortable. She really can't keep her mouth shut."

"I'm gonna suck your blood out, bitch!" Kayla cursed and grinned, making the chains holding her clatter. "I will do it little by little, so you will die slowly and feel great torment."

The room was then filled with Kayla's laughter. I snapped my fingers at the two succubi and minotaurs waiting in this room.

"She's ready for the transfer, right, Doc?" I asked.

"Yeah, I've increased the dose of the power suppression potion for her. I hope it doesn't affect the fetus in her body."

I never thought that the poison that had once knocked Phisovia unconscious became the basis for that potion.

"Good." I started to walk away, ignoring the screams of the female vampire. "Sorry, I was only able to prepare adequate cells for her recently. They just finished renovating the cell to make it fit for pregnant women."

"It's okay, my lord." The doctor smiled at me. "Ah, I still have to continue checking on them. So, I can't accompany you any longer."

"Take care." I exited the clinic and froze when I found Xenora and Nymira waiting for me outside. Ignoring them, I continued walking in silence.

They rushed after me. Xenora asked in a nervous tone. "Forgive me, my lord. However, it's been over a week since you picked me up, yet I haven't met madam Phisovia."

"She was the one who didn't want to meet you." I sighed. "You have to understand. She wants to focus on preparing for tonight's fight."

"But…." Xenora's voice started to crack. "After such a long time, I finally…."

I stopped walking, took another breath, then said. "After all this is over, you can meet her again. I promise you."

I wiped away a drop of her tears, and just then, there was a call from one of my subordinates.

"Sir Karl and Sir Jude say they have had enough rest, my lord. They are ready to meet you."

"Ah, tell them to meet me tonight after the fight," I responded to the call. "I'll talk to them near the lake while I check the progress there."

I can't do anything else yet. I want to focus on being with Phisovia until that big moment happens tonight.

Our mini soccer cage has been transformed into a fighting arena by closing the goal with more metal bars. Some of the succubi of the regiment gathered around that place. Most of them were whispering, but a few stood tensely still.

On this night, they would witness the election of their next general.

"Well, this feels a bit odd." Szur, standing next to me, muttered. "Usually, this place is full of screaming people playing soccer or just watching. And right now, it's very quiet."

I really didn't invite anyone else except for the generals who were present at this base. This is the business of the succubi. I see no reason to let the others get involved.

Besides, this is not entertainment.

"I can feel anxiety from them." Ayre, standing from the other side of me, added.

I leaned back against the chair, looking at Nymira, who was already in the cage. Xenora was briefing her.

"Make way for lady Phisovia!!!" The sound of someone's exclamation came from afar. Some of the spectators shifted to make way.

Accompanied by several succubi, Phisovia walked into the arena wearing a black robe wrapped around her body. Her head was also covered by a large hood, hiding her face.
