Chapter 178 178 – Residents To Be

Instead of following the coach's orders, Alain stood still while looking at Velvet, who was watching him. That woman leaned against a tree.

"Just start, kid." One of the prophet's four female bodyguards chuckled. "We won't bother you. Take it easy."

Snorting in annoyance, Alain looked away with a blushing face. Skeleton B approached the little boy while shaking his head.

"Let's start the practice." Skeleton B crouched down and patted that boy's shoulder. "Isn't it fun to be watched by five pretty girls like them?"

"We won't interfere with your training." Velvet raised a hand with a smile. "Think of us as statues. We promise not to comment."

"Come on." Skeleton B picked up something like a thick pillow about the same height as Alain. "Let's continue with the tackle practice."

Skeleton B changed its position so Alain could turn his back on the women.

"By the way, why do you want to see him, Madam Velvet?" Another bodyguard whispered to Velvet.

The dragon lady shrugged. "Well, I saw great potential in him."

And she has almost nothing to do in this place, unlike when she was still a prophet. If she doesn't go to battle, she has to be on standby at the temple to give 'blessings' to people.

"Harder!" Skeleton B patted the practice pads after Alain made the tackle. "You can't take down your opponent with that!"

As instructed by his coach, Alain did it even harder. He seemed no longer affected by the existence of Velvet and her bodyguards.

"Lacey, stop, please!!!" Suddenly a woman's scream came from the distance. "Soon, you will arrive at a crowded area!!!"

Velvet and the others immediately turned their heads toward the arrival of the voice.

"Gentlemen!!! Look at me!!!" A woman with wavy black hair ran naked with her arms outstretched. And some distance behind that woman, Robyn tried to catch up with a stagger. Looks like she's been running for quite a while.

Meanwhile, a mare was running behind those two while laughing.

They ran past Velvet and the others, who just froze in place from shock.

"Errr…. Sorry for asking this, madam Velvet." Skeleton B asked. "Why don't you go after that woman and stop her?"

The dragon lady raised an eyebrow. "Isn't this place upholding freedom? So, I guess that kind of thing is common here."

Meanwhile, Alain was still frozen with his mouth wide open. Maybe if a frog gets into his mouth, that boy will swallow it alive.

Skeleton B made a sighing gesture, even though he clearly had no nose anymore. "Not to that extent, madam. We still have dignity. Soon, that woman will humiliate herself in front of many people. I'm not sure if her mind is all right. Maybe she was in a dangerous substance or hit her head."

Velvet and his four bodyguards froze again for a few seconds, then started to run.

"We have to catch that woman immediately!" The prophet exclaimed.

"Yes, madam!"

"Hey, Uncle B," Alain called out to his coach when the women were far away. "Why don't you go after the naked woman too?"

This time, skeleton B let out a sound like someone was sobbing. "When I see something like that, I'm reminded of the warmth of a woman. I can't feel that anymore. I'm just bones."

Alain doesn't care. He took the practice pad, then shoved it into his coach's hand. "Come on, let's practice again while they're gone."

About a hundred more people were enjoying pie and drinking tea in an empty lot. At the same time, several individuals questioned them one by one.

They were people who wanted to join Vorn's base.

"Thank you, Sir Szur." One of the succubi said to the mare general who took part in registering the new arrivals. "We are short on personnel because many are going to war or have other jobs."

"No problem. Szur happens to be out of work." Szur eyed the scroll of paper he was in her hand

Lord Vorn reduced the missions for the mares because the demon lord found it less significant to read people's minds or give them nightmares. In the current situation, the demon lord thought his name had spread widely enough that people would listen to the propaganda.

And if the mares' techniques were overused, people would eventually find out.

Szur then approached a family consisting of a bearded man with gray hair, a woman with reddish hair, and a boy with long black hair. That boy may not even be ten years old.

"Good morning, sir." Szur gave a big smile. "Hopefully, I don't bother you with this data collection. Please state your and your family's name and your job, then also tell me why you came here."

"N-no problem, sir." The man answered nervously because of Szur's terrifying little figure. "My name is Mason Ahren. This is my son Mason Junior and my wife, Nessa. I am a judge who people say is too honest, so I have many enemies. We couldn't stand their terror anymore, so we came to this place."

"You have a different accent. Are you from a country other than Durcia or Ascaind?" Szur made notes on his scroll.

Mason Gulped. "Our family is from Ashenburg…. Look, my past job might not be a good fit for what you guys are doing, but we're all hard workers. We'll do any job."

"Actually, we need people with expertise like you. How about we chat after this."

Ashenburg has a bad relationship with Durcia and Ascaind. Basically, Ashenburg does not recognize those two state entities and considers them part of its territory.

It's a miracle this family can come here with such a thick accent. The people of Ascaind and Durcia hate those from Ashenburg.

Mason flashed a relieved smile. "Well, I'll try to help as best I can."

"No wonder you guys talk a little during the trip!" Another man spat on the ground. "It turns out that you come from a country that keeps trying to seize our land!"

"Hey, watch your mouth, sir!" Szur gave a warning before things heated up. "We welcome whoever comes. We will not discriminate at all! As long as they don't cause trouble and want to cooperate with us! Whatever their origin and race, we don't care!"

"But that's Ashenburg..."

"This family has nothing to do with the Ashenburg government invading your countries!" Szur interrupted the man. "Besides, in the future, Ashenburg will fall to..."

Szur's words were cut off by a distant scream. "Gentlemen, look at me!!!"
