Chapter 63 – Welfare Institute

{T/N: There’s no Welfare Institute in this chapter, so not sure why the author named the chapter this…}

Lian Qiao stuck his tongue out and puffed a few times like a dog to get rid of the heat, before he finally realized that the atmosphere was not quite right.

“Uh, big boss…” Lian Qiao said weakly, “Did I do something wrong?” He aimed his eyes at the vegetables on the table, wondering if there were foods that the boss would not eat in the things he had bought?

Didn’t he say he wasn’t a picky eater!?

…No, wait, this was a trap! The boss was obviously super picky!

Lian Qiao suddenly remembered that in the matryoshka instance, the big boss looked disgusted when he saw leba and milk. He felt a cold sweat drop down his back. It’s over, he had made a fatal mistake!

It’s not that the big boss wasn’t a picky eater. He was a picky eater that refused to admit it!

This time I really stepped on thunder!

Lian Qiao opened the bag tremblingly and reconfirmed the ingredients he bought: pork, chicken, shrimp, tomatoes, greens, asparagus… Which one was the thunder point of the big boss?

Lian Qiao glanced at the boss in a cowardly manner and found that the latter was squinting and staring at him unhappily.

Lian Qiao was about to cry: “Big brother, what did I do wrong? Can you give me a hint?”

The beautiful eyes narrowed into sharp arcs and Xu RenDong’s eyebrows were murderous: “What is a qualitative leap?”

Lian Qiao: “Huh?” He was stunned for a moment before reacting, “Did you watch my live broadcast?! Weren’t you at work?”

Xu RenDong stood up suddenly and, using his long legs, crossed the coffee table and leaned down towards Lian Qiao. Lian Qiao subconsciously wanted to hide but his back was pressed against the back of the sofa, leaving him nowhere to escape. He only felt his chest tighten as Xu RenDong grabbed his collar and almost lifted him up.

“Is it this?” Xu RenDong glanced at his neck and then stared at him coldly.

“…Huh?” Lian Qiao looked at the handsome face inches away from him. His brain shut down for a few seconds and he couldn’t think of anything. Following Xu RenDong’s gaze, he lowered his head to see a small reddish mark on his collarbone. He asked in confusion, “You mean this?”

When Xu RenDong let go, Lian Qiao fell back and bounced against the sofa. Xu RenDong put his hands on the back of the sofa in a condescending manner, staring at him with an unhappy expression: “There is also some on your neck.”

Lian Qiao was so pressed against the sofa tightly by him, if he brought his legs even just a bit closer together, he could touch the tight muscles under Xu RenDong’s thin suit pants. The body temperature transmitted through the clothes was shockingly hot. This scene was too ambiguous and Lian Qiao instantly opened up an indescribable brain hole, repeating a sentence in his head:

I’m going to be fucked, fucked, fucked, fucked…

Seeing that he did not answer, Xu RenDong’s expression grew gloomy: “Talk.”

Lian Qiao was taken aback by his gloomy expression, only to realize that the boss didn’t want to fuck him but wanted to kill him instead. He quickly put away his evil thoughts, sat upright, pointed to the two red marks on his neck and collarbone and said, “Reporting to the boss, this is the ‘kiss of a violin’.”

Xu RenDong was taken aback: “What?”

Lian Qiao raised his left hand and imitated the posture of holding the violin: “It’s just a depression caused by the violin after practicing for a long time… Well, I’m not a professional and I usually don’t practice a whole lot, so there’s only a little red mark. If  you don’t believe it, you can touch it!”

He grabbed the boss’s hand and put it on his collarbone. Xu RenDong opened his eyes wide in surprise, letting him grab his fingers and stroke his collarbone.

Obviously he still looked murderous just a few seconds ago, but how come now he looked like a kitten whose belly had been touched by a human for the first time. The beautiful brown pupils were full of shock, dazed and confused.

It just changed within a second!

Lian Qiao’s soul suddenly had a flash of inspiration and he understood something. The corner of his mouth curled up and the smile in his eyes couldn’t stop flowing: “Did you misunderstand something? About HuaHua…”

Xu RenDong’s expression instantly changed when he heard the word “HuaHua”. He propped himself up in a panic, trying to get up from Lian Qiao but was grabbed by Lian Qiao and fell back into his arms again.

Xu RenDong frowned and struggled: “What are you doing?”

Lian Qiao curled his lips in disappointment: “I thought you understood, turns out we don’t have such tacit understanding?”

Xu RenDong: “What?”

Lian Qiao poked his forehead lightly and Xu RenDong became angry, thinking that this little brother is really getting more and more unruly. He was just about to slap Lian Qiao’s hand away when he heard him say: “Your name in Chinese medicine is: RenDong flower, honeysuckle, don’t you know?”

Xu RenDong was taken aback.

Lian Qiao used his fingertips to draw a circle on his forehead softly and his voice was low and gentle: “It’s not convenient to reveal real names in the live broadcast room so I call you HuaHua. If you don’t like it, then I’ll change it to DongDong in the future. “

Xu RenDong looked at him blankly, still feeling like something was wrong: “…but isn’t HuaHua a girl?”

Lian Qiao helpless: “When did I say that HuaHua is a girl?”

Xu RenDong thought about it and it seemed that he really hadn’t heard Lian Qiao personally say HuaHua’s gender.

Lian Qiao sighed: “I just didn’t emphasize that HuaHua is a man… I can’t come out in front of the entire live broadcast room.” When he said this, he seemed a little embarrassed. He turned his head and said softly, “Before meeting you, I also didn’t know I was bent.”

“…” Xu RenDong tightened his fingers unconsciously while lightly grasping the material in front of his chest and said in a very small voice, “…Me too.”

Lian Qiao didn’t hear clearly: “Huh? What did you say?”

There was a flush of redness on Xu RenDong’s face. He got up in a panic and said “I’m going to wash the vegetables.” He picked up the vegetables from the table and walked towards the sink. His pace was steady, his posture graceful, it looked as though nothing had happened just now.

Had it not been for his still red ears then Lian Qiao would have believed it.

Lian Qiao recalled the tone of that sentence and approximately guessed what he had said. Then a gentle smile appeared at the corner of his mouth as he walked over and hugged Xu RenDong from behind.

Xu RenDong turned back in surprise and his earlobe just brushed Lian Qiao’s lips. It went numb for a while.

Lian Qiao put his head on his shoulder, sniffed the gentle fragrance from Xu RenDong’s body and felt extremely satisfied. He didn’t speak and just hugged Xu RenDong’s waist loosely.

Xu RenDong’s back was close to Lian Qiao’s chest and there were only two thin layers of clothes between the two. Their body temperature passed between each other. The faucet was still dripping water but the heartbeats of the two people gradually overlapped, so that every beat could be felt clearly. The air was filled with a sweet and lazy smell, which made people feel sunken in a romantic muddle.

Suddenly, there was a numbness on the back of his waist and there was something hard pressed against it. Xu RenDong’s body went soft and he grasped the edge of the tabletop hard so that he wouldn’t collapse.

After a while, Lian Qiao couldn’t hold back anymore. He said, “Brother RenDong, someone is calling you.”

Xu RenDong: “…”

He took the phone out of his back waist pocket, and it really was indeed vibrating. Xu RenDong realized that he had misunderstood just now and his face instantly became hot but his expression suddenly changed after seeing the caller ID.

He pushed Lian Qiao away: “I’ll go answer the phone.”

Lian Qiao’s arms were empty suddenly and he looked reluctantly at Xu RenDong as he walked to the balcony. He vaguely heard him call “Teacher” to the person on the other end of the phone. Lian Qiao didn’t think much and, with a smile on his face, continued to wash the vegetables in the sink.

A few minutes later, Xu RenDong finished the call and came back. Lian Qiao smiled and said, “Brother RenDong, tonight we’ll…”

Xu RenDong interrupted him: “I’m sorry, I have to go do something. I can’t eat dinner with you.”

Lian Qiao was taken aback and after realizing Xu RenDong’s expression didn’t look good, he asked, “What’s the matter? Who made the call just now? Is it something to do with the company?”

Xu RenDong looked away unconsciously. His thick eyelashes drooped down, hiding his slightly disturbed look. He was silent for a long time and finally he shook his head and said briefly: “No.”

When Lian Qiao saw that he didn’t mean to explain, he stopped asking and just nodded. He said: “Okay. If you need my help, please let me know at any time.”

Xu RenDong said “En”. His gaze didn’t meet Lian Qiao’s and, continuing to avoid his gaze, turned and left Lian Qiao’s house.

The sound of closing the door seemed to cut the connection between the two and the apartment suddenly became quiet. The faucet was still splashing water and Lian Qiao looked at the fresh shrimps jumping in the pool. He wished he could dig a hole in his forehead and pour the water out to raise the shrimps. {There’s water in your head = way of saying you’re stupid, or you’ve done something stupid.}

Ahhhhhh, if I had known then I wouldn’t have reminded him that he had a call! It was a rare, good atmosphere! Just the last step was left!

…However, the location of the phone is really subtle. If Xu RenDong didn’t answer the phone, he might lose control.

Ah, mobile phone vibration was really a treasure of mankind.

Lian Qiao’s daydreams coalesced together and quickly transformed him into a hard-boiled pervert.
