Chapter 30.2: Making one’s heart race.

On the other screen, even though the plane was still in flight, the air controller had a look that his student won; his tail raised high: “How about it, Old Zhang, do you want to give up on the bet, or else you won’t be able to keep your 200 yuan.”

Instructor Zhang shook his head with a stubborn look on his face: “Although Zhou Jingze’s performance is remarkable, the most critical part of flight— is a safe landing. This part hasn’t even come yet. I still think Gao Yang will win; he is more gentle and reliable, whereas Zhou Jingze is too aggressive, so many uncertainties about him.”

The atmosphere was silent for a while, and the controller continued to speak: “That is true, but you also heard it just now, his operation is very smooth, issuing the command to the co-pilot before we said what we thought. It seems that he knows what we are thinking and acts on the judgment, immediately sending a signal to enter the desert city.”

“The instructions issued by this kid are all based on an eagle’s keenness and intuition. He is a gifted pilot, truly born for the sky.”

The instructor was silent for a while and then said, “Look down first.”

The two planes were about to land, and everyone outside the screen watched with wide-opened eyes. Gao Yang’s landing almost strictly followed the teacher’s instructions. The landing was very qualified, and the entire operation was steady.

Instructor Zhang breathed a sigh of relief.

Zhou Jingze sat in the cockpit, and after checking the various instruments, he aimed at R1, the centerline of the runway, and formed a small angle with the runway, descending slowly.

His expression was very calm, and there was even a sense of self-satisfaction. When the plane was thirty-five feet above the ground, he held the joystick with his knuckled hand and pulled it slightly upwards, causing the nose of the plane to rise.

Zhou Jingze’s expression throughout the entire operation was at ease. He aimed at the runway, the plane slowly descending, and the angle between it and the ground became smaller and smaller.

At the moment of landing, there was only a light vibration.

For a student, this was an almost impossible operation. The man in the control room took a deep breath– the landing was too beautiful and impeccable.

“You won,” Instructor Zhang gave the final decision.

As soon as the voice fell, the young man in the control room let out an exclamation and rushed out immediately. Hu Xixi blinked at Xu Sui and dragged her out.

On the runway of the airport, Sheng Nanzhou and the others rushed over and gave Zhou Jingze a hard hug. Da Liu patted him on the shoulder: “Bro, you’re really something.”

“This time I’m actually speechless” Sheng Nanzhou sincerely supported him happily.

Gao Yang and Li Sen stood outside the runway line. Gao Yang’s expression did not look too good, but he still managed to maintain a calm expression on his face. He walked over to shake hands with Zhou Jingze, maintaining his politeness: “Congratulations.”

Zhou Jingze glanced at the other party’s outstretched hand but did not shake it back. Instead, he glanced his eyes over at Li Sen and in a somewhat cold voice:

“Remember to apologize to the girl.”

The expression on Li Sen’s face could no longer be described as just ugly, but he reluctantly said: “Got it.”

A female reporter came to interview Zhou Jingze and asked: “How did you achieve such a perfect landing?”

“Intuition.” Zhou Jingze gave a short one-worded reply.

But Xu Sui suspected that he was too lazy to speak at all and threw out a perfunctory word to the reporters. Sure enough, her guess was right. In the next second, the female reporter continued to ask, “Do you have any goals towards the blue sky in the future?”

Zhou Jingze raised his hand towards the reporter and motioned her to come over. The reporter took two steps forward, and Zhou Jingze had a careless smile on his face:

“You guess.”

After speaking, the reporter froze in place, but Zhou Jingze immediately stepped back when he saw the up-to-no-good intentions of the boys in the class behind him.

The boys in Zhou Jingze’s class rushed over to congratulate him. Class 1 and Class 2 didn’t seem to have any issues, but this time, he drew some dissatisfaction.

The boys surrounded Zhou Jingze and first congratulated him politely: “Congratulations, legend, you have given face to our class monitor again.”

“Isn’t this a moment to treat us out ah? You have no excuse.”

“Treat.”

After Zhou Jingze dropped that one word, he turned around and ran, but he was outnumbered– the boys grabbed onto his trousers and wouldn’t let him go. Zhou Jingze stumbled and almost fell, laughing while scolding: “Damn it, don’t pull on my pants.” A group of boys threw Zhou Jingze up and down at the sky while shouting the slogan:

“Class 1 is the best, Zhou Jingze is awesome!”

“Charge! The entire blue sky is ours.”

Zhou Jingze was still holding onto his pants and said with marks of rough tone: “Enough, being on the plane isn’t even as jolting as you guys, I’m about to vomit.”

A topography major student passed by the crowd and laughed jokingly: ‘They say that the young master’s soldiers fly in the sky but are not very good on land. ”

“Won’t you know if you compete? Either way, you guys run around on the ground.” Zhou Jingze raised his eyebrows and spoke in an arrogant tone.

The other boys in the class got excited and said, “Yes, we’re all animals that walk independently on two legs. Why is there still professional discrimination?”

“What about this: starting from this white line, whoever runs to the red flag will win. How about it?”

“Okay.”

“One, two, three, run!”

It’s the most childish game among boys, but they played it vigorously. The scorching sun was a little dazzling, and Xu Sui stretched out her hand to block it from her eyes, looking not too far away.

Not knowing when Zhou Jingze took off his jacket, he rushed into the distance like an arrow, and the wind blew the corner of his shirt at an angle like a sail in the sea.

When approaching the end, Zhou Jingze slowed down and turned around, running against the wind. He raised a middle finger at them and showed a frivolous and wanton smile.

The red flag fluttered in the wind behind him. Zhou Jingze gave off a fierce and stubborn aura, arrogant and frivolous, but making one’s heart race.

The wind wrapped the flag around the youth.

Watching this Xu Sui’s heart was about to jump out of her chest– her heart beating faster than ever. With her feelings towards Zhou Jingze, she constantly doubted herself, always pulling herself up and down.

But this time, she wanted to get closer to the light— even if just this once.

What if it’s caught?

A secret crush is like moss, inconspicuous, waiting to wither, but with one blow, it grows endlessly.

Crush is not a shy, passionate short-term like towards someone, but a shy, passionate long-term like, a continuous verb.

After the group finished playing the game, the teachers walked up to the group of sweaty boys and said with a smile, “You all have to work hard.”

The instructor pointed at them and smiled helplessly. Then, he took out a badge and a red envelope and gave it to Zhou Jingze: “Old Zhang asked me to give it to you– the badge is yours, engraved with your name, it’s the reward of this competition.”

Zhou Jingze accepted the red envelope and the medal unceremoniously. He pressed his tongue against his lower jaw and smiled, “Thanks, Lao Gu.”

After the teacher left, Zhou Jingze raised his hand with the red envelope, signaling Xu Sui to come over. Xu Sui and Hu Xixi briskly trotted up to them.

Xu Sui raised her head to look at Zhou Jingze, and there was a sparkle in her eyes: “Congratulations.”

“I have to thank you. Here, take it to buy candy.” Zhou Jingze smiled casually and handed her the red envelope.

Under everyone’s gaze, Xu Sui didn’t know where she got the courage from, but she shook her head, and her eyes were full of nervousness: “I want that badge.”

As soon as these words came out, everyone started to make a “wow” sound. Sheng Nanzhou decided to fan the flames and said, “Teacher Xiao Xu, my test didn’t start yet, and I already have this badge. Why don’t you want mine’s?”

After all, she was a thin-faced and careful girl. Zhou Jingze was quiet for a long time without speaking– his long eyes staring straight at her without any expression on his face.

A heart was kept in suspense, and Xu Sui backed out. Her throat was dry, and when she lowered her eyes about to say “I’m joking,” Zhou Jingze suddenly leaned down, his voice ringing in her ears:

“Take it.”
