Jing Junhai laughed. "This is not a joke, right?"

"If I wanted to joke, I could have waited to get home instead of calling you two here to give you the news." Jing Shuping threw the papers on the table.

"But father, are you sure the news is true?" Jing Tian picked up the papers. "Could it be she is fooling us?"

"She doesn't have enough intelligence to think of a plan to fool us."

"I have spies, loyal spies in Tang enterprise. The Tang enterprise failed in the last five projects. She used the last funds in the company and bought huge acres of land in the Southern area. This move is totally inconceivable. She doesn't have enough manpower or resources to invest in those lands if she planned to turn them to residential lots. The lands are far away from the city center so they are practically worthless. The owner of the real estate had been struggling to get rid of those lands at any price. But there wasn't a single buyer."

"I don't think we'll need Zhang Min to do anything. She'll soon end up bankrupting her own company." Jing Junhai laughed again. "How about this. We just sit and watch her making the great empire disappear?"

"Don't underestimate her. She still has her grandfather behind her. The company as big as her's wouldn't fall in seconds."

Jing Shuping didn't hate his daughter for no reason. She reminded him of that woman who was an obstacle between him and Jing Tian's mother, He Zhoyan. Besides, she was just a weakling with no talent. At countless times, Jing Lihua had embarrassed the family in front of guests. And the most important thing was she always outshined precious Jing Tian. Jing Tian was from his true love so it was natural that he cherished her more.

"Once that woman loses her backing, I'll have you and Su Liwei married." Jing Shuping said with determination.

"Father... I feel bad for JieJie. Would she hat me for stealing Su Liwei?" Jing Tian looked sad.

"You don't need to feel bad for her. It has always been you, Su Liwei liked. She is the one who stole your lover from you." Jing Shuping felt disgusted when he remembered what had she done. "She clearly knew that you loved Su Liwei. Yet she still forced marriage to hurt you"

"I don't know what I did to make JieJie hate me. I've always tried my best to make her like me."

Jing Shuping's heart pained when he saw his daughter crying. "You don't need to cry for that vixen." He patted her affectionately. "She doesn't deserve your kindness. After all, she has that woman's blood running through her veins. It is inevitable she would follow her lead. She is just jealous that you are more accomplished and liked than her. But instead of changing her vicious ways, she chose underhand tricks to suppress you."

"Xiao meimei, you don't need to worry." Jing Junhai couldn't bear his little sister crying. "As long as Su Liwei loves you, we'll find a way to get you two together. Everything would become perfect."

"That will happen soon. Su Liwei is true to you. He is trying his best to make Tang enterprise fall so that Jing Lihua loses her backing. He is doing it all for your sake so that you two can live together happily. I'm sure once the enterprise falls, he'll abandon her." Jing Shuping laughed. "I wonder where would she run to then? If she comes to me begging for shelter then I'll never accept her. If not for her grandfather, I would have already disowned her. But once she and her grandfather lose their power, I'll not give them any charity."

Under the tears, Jing Tian eyes flashed with a sinister emotion momentarily before turning back normal.
