The no. 53 bus incident shocked the whole city and has been on the trending topic ever since, which led to the worried police chief to loose some hair from the stress.

Begrudgingly, he admitted defeat and decided to invite a grandmaster to have a look.

Due to how hot the incident had become, the chief’s superiors allowed him to invite a renowned grandmaster to the place where the bus was found.

When he arrived at the scene, the police chief scanned the desolated surroundings and his heart grew cold as he remembered the flamboyant wording of the newspaper detailing the scene.

However, the station was also helpless. A day before yesterday, they received a phone call regarding the accident, but didn’t take it seriously. The next day, they received news that the bus company was missing a bus. Afterwards, they spent so much effort on locating the truth, but only managed to get this kind of a result-no trace of the murderer and no clues leading to a suspect.

This scared the whole station, and then the news came and spread it to everyone, causing everyone in M city to panic.

“Grandmaster, who do you think was responsible for this?” The police chief saw the white-hair and beard grandmaster knit his eyebrows at the bus, heart thumping wildly.

The grandmaster sighed, “This master knows who did it. A goblin ghost.”

“Goblin ghost?” the chief asked in confusion.

“The so-called goblin ghosts, are ghosts of those who have lingering resentments and are reluctant to leave the realm of the living after death. Generally speaking, they are not that strong and still possess a state of consciousness. They also do not need to enter samsara, and feast on living souls to maintain their forms. If these were young ghosts, then this master can deal with them quite easily, however, I’m afraid, for this case, it was done by a hundred-year old fierce ghost.”

The chief’s head started to pour sweat and his lips quivered, “Then… will it strike again?” If a few more people died, he’ll be fired!

“Goblin ghosts roam around, and will only make a move on happy(?) prey. This time could just be a coincidence.” Before coming, the grandmaster has read the news about the incident and seen pictures of the survivors. He didn’t see any marks left by the goblin ghosts, so he knew that it’ll be a long time till another incident revolving around goblin ghosts would pop up.

(Orange: 心怡…translates to happy, but why would they only prey on happy people?  ….)

After all, goblin ghosts are not the type to reminiscent about the past and love to wander about. So after eating once, they would look for prey in a different area.

“Chief, you wouldn’t need to worry about it for another 10 years.” The grandmaster stroke his long beard with a cool expression.

The police chief smiled in relief, “Ah, that’s good! That’s very good. Thank you for your troubles grandmaster.”

Later, the chief commanded the rest of the police to deal with the bus and left with the grandmaster.

However, the chief had forgotten about another survivor, Zhou Yu.

Because Zhou Yu was the son of the richest man in the city, the Zhou’s group public relations department used money to block the police department from releasing any information regarding Zhou Yu being on the bus that night, reason being not to disturb the young master’s privacy. So of course, the newspaper didn’t mention Zhou Yu and naturally, the chief had also forgotten about him.

Thus, no one noticed the mark on Zhou Yu’s neck was getting darker.

******

Noon has arrived when Zhou Yu was awaken by a ray of light shining through his window. He stared at the white ceiling in a trance.

Where was he?

A bloody scene flashed in his eyes as Zhou Yu’s memory started to come back to him. His eyes reflected pain and sadness as he remembered Feng Xing’s death.

In his past life, he didn’t like to interact with others and had no relatives. Thus, he had never experienced a death of a close one, besides his own.

Just this morning he had waved a hello to her, and in the next moment she was dead. This made people think about the fragility of life.

Zhou Yu looked at the needle in his hand, then stared blankly at the slow droplets of the infusion bottle.

He knew that he had fainted at Feng Xing’s scene of death. At that time he was too flustered and didn’t think about the cause of her death. Feng Xing defiantly did not commit suicide! That morning she had given him a very friendly hello. There was nothing strange… er… except for that weird outfit…everything else was normal.

Zhou Yu thought about the girls in Feng Xing’s class. Nine out of ten, he bets that Feng Xing’s death must be related to them!

A sharp gaze appeared in Zhou Yu’s eyes as he recalled Feng Xing’s miserable death. He must get justice for her!

As a breeze blew through the delicately-patterned curtains, Zhou Yu felt a sudden chill down his spine, and couldn’t breathe anymore, as if someone was choking him.

“!!!” Zhou Yu couldn’t breathe anymore. He grasped his throat with both his hands, feeling like he was about to take his last breath.

What was happening?

Zhou Yu knocked over the infusion stand during his struggle to call the nurse. He wanted to call the nurse, but he could only make hissing sounds.

Zhou Yu’s face began to turn red and lost all hope.

Which ghost is this? He’s been bumping into ghosts way too often these days!

Just when Zhou Yu was about to give up, the formerly tightly-shut door was forced open, allowing a sharp gust of cold wind blow in. This allowed Zhou Yu, who was about to suffocate, to be able to breathe again. He knelt on the ground gasping for air.

For a brief moment Zhou Yu was able to see the ghost he met the day before yesterday. The ghost who was wearing the Qing Dynasty official uniform. Zhou Yu’s face paled at the sight.

He was finished. The ghost had found him!

【Mission Death Count: 3】

The announcement rang for a few more times and the reincarnation team members’ legs were numb from their constant move forward. They haven’t stopped to rest for a single moment.

The dim streak of light paired with the pure white walls and ceilings of the empty corridor they were running down made them feel depressed and discouraged, as if they are not able to reach the end.

The group didn’t know how long they had been traveling down this corridor. The constrained space had distorted their concept of time and was slowly chipping away their mental state.

“F**k! F**k! F**k!” The hot-tempered Lao Liu couldn’t handle the ominous environment anymore and started to curse to de-stress.

Hua She Li gave Lao Liu a weak glare, after all, he was also feeling a little panicked.

“Captain, how much more do we have to go? We’re not going to hold on much longer.”

Zheng Qian, who was extremely frustrated, shouted, “SHUT UP! I told you all to buy more equipment to protect your mental states, but you didn’t! So stop complaining!”

The members understood that their captain was under a lot of pressure, so they stayed quiet and endured in silence.

In reality, they were all complaining in their heads. Those mental state protection equipment were always extremely expensive. Only powerful reincarnators were able to afford them. If they had money, of course they would have bought them! After all, who wouldn’t want additional protection? Especially when the world they were in was dealing with the supernatural! It was only natural to buy mental state protection equipment when dealing with supernatural beings!

However, the problem was that they were all ordinary reincarnators, who were broke after buying a few spiritual bullets.

Following Zheng Qian’s guidance, the group broke through the barriers and finally regained some confidence a they approached the end of the corridor.

At the end of the corridor was an elevator.

Everyone knew that it was extremely odd that an elevator would appear in such a space, so they cautiously approached the elevator.

The elevator looked like the Elevator of Heaven and Hell.

The elevator door slowly opens, revealing the flickering lights inside. The whole atmosphere was very ominous and sinister.

Zheng Qian took out a puppet doll, whispering a few incantations to it. The doll stood up and walked towards the elevator.

Everyone stared at the doll, eyes filled with hope. As long as the doll is able to smoothly enter the elevator, then they would be able to leave this damned place.

The doll successfully got closer to the elevator, however, right as it was about to step in the elevator, it stopped.

Zheng Qian’s right eyelid started to jump as he felt increasingly agitated. He kept chanting the doll’s name inside his mind, trying to make it move forward again, but the doll seems to be blocked by something, causing it unable to move a single step.

*CRACK*

A crack appeared on the doll’s face, and everyone was able to see the real identity of the thing that was blocking the doll.

A ghostly figure covered with long black hair and block fog was squatting on the ground in front of the doll, blocking it from moving forward.

“HeeHeeHee-” The long black haired fierce ghost raised his head and twisted the doll into powder. He gave the crowd a grim and stiff smile.

Seeing the familiar pale and beautiful face, the reincarnation members sucked in a breath of cold air, tightening their grips on their weapons.

“Everyone be careful! Take out everything you got! The big BOSS has arrived.” Zheng Qian ordered, taking out a machine gun, specially made for supernatural creatures.

Feng Xing grinned, eyes gleaming with dark promises of pain and suffering.

I’m a little impatient right now. Need to quickly get rid of all of you, so I can go back and accompany Senior!

In the midst of the black fog, the weak-willed team members began to break down and started to turn their weapons on their own teammates.

Taken by surprise, the reincarnation team lost 2 more members.

【Mission Death Count: 5】

Zheng Qian and the rest were in despair. The formless black fog was something they couldn’t defend against. Even Zheng Qian, who has mental state protection equipment, was struggling to stay sane from the erratic attacks of his teammates and the metal state deterioration from the fog.

Just as the team was about to be obliterated, the black fog suddenly stopped. The temperature in the air abruptly dropped, causing frost to form in the surroundings.

An angry roar, that did not sound human at all, sounded, distorting the surrounding space. The black fog tore a hole in the wall and quickly left.

As the fog left, the gap in the wall started to return back into its normal state.

The team couldn’t let this chance pass up.

Although they didn’t know where the hole led to, the desperate members eagerly squeezed into the whole, unwilling to deal with whatever creature that was behind them.

Theater Time!

World Conscious: *Doting father smile* Child you did a good job! In one move you’ve destroyed half of them! Dad is very proud of you! Keep up with the good work! Dad knows you love Dad and will make Dad proud! ( ̄▽ ̄)

Feng Xing: (ignores the World Conscious) *walks over to another ghost* How do you feel, bullying this Ghost King’s wife?

Ghost: *shivering* um, alright?

Feng Xing: *smiles grimly and swallows the ghost* I don’t think so.
