Yeah, it is. You can see the details in the menu.

But long story short, it’s a grand quest where all players must choose to join either of the two opposing sides. Though it seems those that unsealed the Tomb and made the Spirit Tree sprout and, by extension, triggered this event, have their choice forcibly fixed.

Joining the Demon King’s side will allow you to reforge your weapons into ‘Demon Steel Armament’, whereas the Goddess’s side, ‘Divine Steel Armament’.

Either way, the resulting performance will be the same. Only, the former will make your weapons look demonic and the latter, sacred.

Well, if one side’s stronger than the other, players will choose the stronger one, at least mostly.

The war starts in a week, which I’m guessing is to give us time to adjust our schedules and make preparations.

It’s just… the victory condition is the total extermination of the enemy side, but… the battlefield is… haha…

But thankfully, the battlefield will be encompassed by an invisible barrier that gradually shrinks over hours. If you stay outside of it, you will continuously take true damage, thus essentially narrowing the battlefield.

‘The biggest online game battle’, everyone’s been talking about it on the internet! Even overseas!

What’s more, for the week leading up to D-day, players below level 50 will receive double exps. As such, even new players will be able to compete with the high-level ones if they work hard.

With that being the case, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a surge in the number of new players. Who knows how many players we’ll have by the day of the war? It’ll be a crazy number, that’s for sure.

It shouldn’t be a bug either, as otherwise, the devs should have made them to be unable to from the start.

I’m torn between the two sides. On the one hand, I’d like to side with Yuri-chan, since she’s BSO player, but on the other hand… I’d like to dethrone that adorable demon king…!

The large-scale quest which they had predicted wouldn’t get triggered until at least six months after the game launch caused the devs to go mad and writhe.

The dev team started busied about. The sudden turn of events left them teary-eyed.

At that moment—a woman’s laughter resounded from the empty space.

…The assassin event had been started by them almost on a whim. As such, they hadn’t included ‘forbid the intervention of assassin players’ in the trigger condition of ‘War of Extinction Ragnarok’, which they had planned as late-game content.

[Besides, have you forgotten it? Thanks to Yuri-kun, your game has been all the rage lately, putting its name all over the news.

[In the last several years, there hasn’t been an online game this popular, has there?]

“G-grrrr… you’re right… but it’s too dangerous to let things get out of hand!”

[Hmm…] Rindou was impressed by those words. They were solid proof that her mentees had grown. Facing an unexpected great success, they didn’t let it get to their heads and were worried about the hidden troubles it might bring.
