Well played all~!

Man~, it sure was a blast this time too!

GG!

In the first round we were utterly destroyed by Yuri, but we managed to prevent her from winning the second and fourth rounds!

109. A Passing Adventurer

>>108

Well, thanks to everyone’s hard work, Yuri-san ended up only winning the first and the fifth round.

Then again, it’s crazy that she was still able to win twice even when she was targeted by tens of thousands of players, though LOLOLOL

The post-apocalyptic NPC army led by Seele-chan was super strong, and with Grimm-chan and countless monsters protecting it, their guild base was practically impenetrable LOL

Though I gotta say, the Craft Makers sure gave us the biggest surprise this time.

I mean, they won the third round.

Right~, now I feel really bad for having looked down on them…!

I heard from one of the Craft Makers that it was Yuri-chan that found value in them, but I can’t help but wonder if the devs have it all planned from the beginning. So that they can fight if they work hard, I mean.

>>151

Bet they have. BSO’s devs may seem sloppy, but they are actually deep thinkers, after all!

Some may argue that they are as sloppy as they appear, but I stand on my opinion!

>>173

Me too! Yuri-chan was nerfed so badly, but she could make a comeback and become the strongest again, and now that Craft Makers have unlocked their combat potential, they’ve practically become slaughter machines. The devs designed the game so that everyone can become strong, we just have to figure out how!

Speaking of the devs, it seems they will drop another update a day after the event.

They’re definitely gonna nerf ‘Arms Barrier’ used by Demon King Yuri, right?

176. A Passing Adventurer

>>175

It’s too overpowered, after all. 200 explosive weapons flying about over your head is a nightmare-inducing sight lol

Well, knowing Yuri-chan, she’ll find another ridiculous way to become the strongest again… (trust me)

177. A Passing Adventurer

>>176

I know right LOLOLOL

By the way, are you guys doing the story quests added in the last update?

179. A Passing Adventurer

>>177

Yeah, but they’re all about errands.

I’ve lost count of how many times I was told to give ○○ to ××, and I’ve gotten sick of them, honestly.

I stopped doing them halfway through since I had to grind for the event.

180. A Passing Adventurer

>>179

Making you run errands until you’re sick of them is so typical of online games, right? LOLOLOL

180. A Passing Adventurer

>>177

Yuri-chan, the baldhead, Zansword, and other high-leveled players seem to focus on grinding for level and don’t even give a damn about the quests, don’t they? LOLOLOL

182. A Passing Adventurer

>>180

Zansword-san can’t possibly miss doing the quests, can he?

I mean, he’s logged in all day… he’s got plenty of free time!

Well, anyway, good game all!

Let’s win next event~!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

“““FuoooOOOooooOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”””

Eerie wails echoed in the developer team room.

They were accompanied by the sounds of fast and furious typing on the keyboard that seemed to never end.

It was midnight after the event concluded. ‘Blade Skill Online’ developer team members were weeping as they were fixing the game balance based on the event results.

“Goddammit, that hella cute Demon King…!”

——As should be expected, their source of agony this time was, again, the player Yuri.

Due to the combination of her explosive attack and item-stealing skill, tens of thousands of items had now ended up in her possession.

As a result, the developer team was thrown into chaos. They had been resolved to delete all the items at one point, but…

“Damn it, damn it, curse you, Yuri! Thanking us while everyone was watching!”

“We’ve gotta be extra careful dealing with her. We clipped her wings in the first update, but she rose back up and became even stronger. Moreover, thanks to her figuring out a way to let Craft Makers fight, players’ trust in us went through the roof!”

“‘The devs already have everything planned when they were making the game’ my ass! We just played it by the ear, for gods’ sake!”

The devs kept on raving and screaming even as they made fixes.

In this situation, if they were to nerf Yuri to an unreasonable degree again, the players would be very disappointed. “The devs are nothing but a sloppy bunch, after all,” they might say.

As a result of their discussion, they decided to add some conditions to the item-stealing skill: Item-stealing skill couldn’t be used to steal important event items and it wouldn’t work on opponents whose level was lower than the user. And since stolen items, well, ‘stolen’, they couldn’t be sold to anyone other than the original owner.

——The fact that they had to resort to this desperate measure made the devs who initially wanted to “Erase all of Yuri’s items!” gnashed their teeth, but from the completely clueless players’ perspective, it was a very clever move on their part.

With these additional conditions, the potential situation where high-level players with item-stealing skill preyed on low-level players was eliminated, and the chances of hellish money-making schemes happening were reduced to zero.

Not to mention, it would be a good motivation for players who had acquired the item-stealing skill to challenge higher-leveled players, and in addition, with the condition ‘stolen items can’t be sold to anyone other than the original owner’, the stolen items wouldn’t go anywhere and the robbed players also had room to get them back through negotiations.

But these adults didn’t realize that. They continued working while shouting “We’re going to teach that Demon King a lesson one of these days!” with tears in their eyes.

“Damn it, damn it, Yuri…! The game became more exciting thanks to you, but now I can’t go home in time, damn it!”

“I want to make ‘Arms Barrier’ totally unusable, but to be fair, it’s a skill that can only be obtained by exchanging a large number of event points. In consideration of other players who’ve also acquired it, I’ll settle with just nerfing it to a reasonable degree…!”

“Now that it has come to this, rather than making Yuri weaker, let’s just make the game harder!”

“That’s a good idea, Yuri won’t be interested in low-level fields anymore anyway. Let’s increase the attack patterns and buff the monsters in high-level fields, prepare even more unique monsters, and roll out story quests with cool and super strong enemies that will be difficult to take down by even Yuri…!”

——The developer team (unconsciously) sublimated ‘Blade Skill Online’ into a hard game due to their hatred towards the thuggish Demon King.

Thus, their sleepless nights continued…
