“Actually, it’s not a bad choice for you to hide away.” Chef Fu said. He held a knife in one hand and gently wiped the blade with a cloth with the other hand. He calmly spoke, “But don’t you think that killing those infected individuals would be the best solution?”

Fu Anan paused and looked at him in surprise.

Only those people who had firsthand experience would know how difficult it was to kill a group of people whom you have lived with day and night. At least in her more than ten years of education, it wasn’t allowed.

Even if these people posed a potential danger to her.

Fu Anan reassessed the Head Chef, Master Fu. His words didn’t sound like something a honest chef who stayed in the kitchen and cooked delicious pan-seared salmon would say.

This incredibly attractive Chef Fu… It’s better for her to interact less with him.

Fu Anan pushed the food cart back to her room. She locked the door, then added an extra layer of iron mesh and foam at the entrance. She didn’t know why she did it, but it just made her feel safer by doing it.

The ninth day of the Nautical Survival passed by safely.

On the tenth day of the Nautical Survival.

Fu Anan continued to peek through the peephole, observing the situation outside. Sometimes, Aunt Li and the Captain would knock on her door to ask about her well-being.

Having gotten used to staying indoors, Fu Anan said that she was doing fine. If possible, she would gladly spend the remaining twenty days in her room.

——

In another room…

Two newbie players were having a discussion.

“Another person got infected.” The blond-haired young man said as he closed the door.

“Why don’t we stick to our previous plan and stay on the top deck? If anything happens, we can seal off the doors connecting to the rest of the ship.”

“Sounds good.” The man wearing eyeglasses nodded his head, “The other players are hiding. They refused to show themselves until now. Let’s go up on our own. Don’t worry about how they’re doing.”

The two of them immediately hit it off.

The sky was filled with dense dark clouds.

It was another day of impending rain.

The two companions made their way through rows of containers. The containers were placed closely together, which allowed only enough space for one person to pass through at a time.

“F*ck, this container stinks ah!” The blond-haired young man said as he covered his nose, “What’s being shipped in here?”

“Probably rotten food.” The eyeglasses-wearing man looked around. “Forget about it, let’s quickly find the supply container we discovered earlier.”

The main reason why they dared to bring their backpacks and go up to the top deck was because they had discovered a container filled with various supplies. The container stored a lot of food and water, enough to sustain them for the remaining twenty days.

“Here it is.” The blond-haired young man pointed at the container’s label.

The two of them took out their tools and began to remove the plastic seal on it.

Slish——

A harsh and unpleasant sound echoed.

The eyeglasses-wearing man paused in his actions, “Is there something inside?”

“Impossible.” The blond-haired youth was taken aback, “Wasn’t everything fine when we surveyed it earlier?”

It was still noontime, yet the sky was becoming increasingly gloomy.

The sky became filled with dense, ominous clouds. Flashes of lightning flickered within the layers of clouds. The immense roar of thunder followed, then large raindrops began to sporadically fall.

A storm was approaching.

“Let me do it.” The blond-haired young man said, then he took the unlocking tool from the eyeglasses-wearing man’s hand. With a few swift motions, he managed to open the container.

“ROAR!”

There were actually people inside. They rushed out like crazy, then threw down and bit the blond-haired young man’s face.

“AHH!”

The blond-haired young man screamed in agony.

Witnessing this, the eyeglasses-wearing man kicked the frenzied humanoid away, and pulled the blond-haired young man back to run away.

They had opened the wrong container!
