Chapter 147 - Conflicting Thoughts!

On the ground, the woman was bowing with a grateful look on her face but there was a sense of grief as well in them as she glanced at her son who stood behind her while sobbing.

Ye Qian sighed again and shook his head seeing the lady in such a state.

Ye Qian picked the lady up while he wiped some of her tears with a cloth and glanced at the boy while saying.

"You really think; I would let you die?"

Ye Qian asked while he wiped her tears gently with the cloth and then looked at the boy.

The lady was stunned by his words and didn't know what he meant but then seeing the unambiguous position the two were in and her cheeks turned scarlet and she looked down not having the courage to look at the Venerable.

She thought that the Venerable like her, but she didn't know why would such a Great Venerable like her, a mere mortal who was going to die in a few days, the thought of this made her face even more red and she didn't dare to look into his eyes.

And her face flushed more.

"Don't you want to live with your son more?"

His question brought her back from her dreams and she saw her sobbing son, she really didn't want to leave him alone.

But there was no way she could live.

Or maybe there was, was the Venerable here to help her treat her disease.

Thinking of this she felt happy in her heart but then she thought why would he save her, there was really no reason for him to save them much less give her son so much power and such a great boon.

She glanced at the Venerable and saw there was love and care in his eyes but more than that there was yearning like he missed someone.

"Hmm."

Seeing the sadness and yearning in his eyes she subconsciously nodded.

With that Ye Qian brought his hand and the ring on his hand shone while the box from before appeared.

"Now you can live with your son all the time you want."

"I just don't want a son to see his mother die or a mother to worry for her son's welfare."

Saying that Ye Qian sighed and glanced at the stars above and walked a few steps away after handing the box to the woman.

Seeing his broad back but the sense of loneliness the woman felt that the Great Venerable yearned for his mother and couldn't see anyone else suffer the same.

A few tears dripped down her cheeks and she nodded.

'I hope, Great Venerable will get what he yearns for.'

We come back to the current time when the blessing and well wish the lady gave to Ye Qian would soon come true.

Currently, Ye Qian was busy massaging Ning Wei's back as she let out some groans from her mouth as she felt her muscled ease up and felt light.

She never knew that she had so many problems in her back due to overworking and staying awake long for nights.

Ye Qian would tell every single muscle which had some pain in it and then tell her what she might be doing or what her habits were to make it worse.

Soon she found out that the work she did was making her more unhealthy.

Soon all her muscles were loosened and she felt like she was back in her teens where she was full of energy and vigour.

Ye Qian walked off the bed and smiled at her.

"Ok now you two, take some rest while I will tell Yan'er and the girls that the girl is fine and there is nothing to worry about her."

Ye Qian said while patting her head and walked out of the room and lightly closed the door without making a sound.

Seeing him walk out of the room, Ning Wei felt warm in her heart and her eyes were filled with love.

She glanced at his broad back with an affectionate smile and slowly laid on the bed for a while as he told her to.

She didn't want to make him worried so she would do everything he would advise her.

Behind her Yuan Meng looked at her back with some mixed feelings, she knew it would e hard for her later and she was a woman after all, but she still didn't want Ning Wei to feel sad about her feelings.

She knew Ye Qian would never think of anyone else other than her, but she also didn't want another woman to suffer what she had for these five years.

And there was still the girls Qing'er which loved Ye Qian in the Greater Heaven, though she felt happy that Ye Qian didn't hide anything from her, a part of her still didn't want Ye Qian to be shared while the other still felt it was no problem since it was not like only she had the right to love him.

Finally, Yuan Meng sighed and shook her head, she would not worry about things and let them happen naturally.

If Ye Qian accepted others then she would not reject them, but she would also feel pity for Ning Wei and Qing'er if he won't accept them.

And according to Ye Qian, her dummy, the girl Qing'er loved her for about a hundred years that was more than what an average person could live, and she loved him for so long while not saying anything to him.

She didn't know if her love could be even compared to that of the love Qian'er had for Ye Qian.

She again sighed and glanced at Ning Wei who was having a calm and contented smile on her lips and felt happy for her.

She knew how it would have been for Ning Wei all these years and with that she didn't have support like her, she was all alone in this world.

Yuan Meng closed her eyes and tried to throw these thoughts to the back of her head.
