Chapter 132 - Grandparents Are Waiting!

Outside the Ye Family's house, two people were standing with some small carts, boxes, bags, and packets with them. 

"Hmm, the house is locked."

The man sighed and shook his head while turning back to the woman.

The woman seemed to be in her fifties the same age as the man but there might be some difference.

But they were a couple for sure.

"What are you worrying about, Old Ye, she might have some work or might have gone out to get something, and since it's a weekend, she might have gone out with the little girl."

The woman shook her head and walked to the nearby public bench which was beside the small garden.

"Come, sit here and let the things be there.."

The lady waved her hand at the man and called him.

"Ok."

The man sighed and walked to her.

"That girl Meng is really working so hard while being all alone in this large city."

"She won't listen to us to even come in the town."

The lady glanced around and sighed.

"The area around the house seemed ot have changed a lot?"

She asked while pointing at the open space all around the house.

It really looked like there was only the house and nothing else besides it.

"Yes, I heard it from Little Jei that this whole area is bought by a large construction company, they are trying to make a large complex here and it seems many have already sold this place."

The man said and glanced at the barren place.

The houses have been cleared a long time ago and only their house was left.

"I don't think they have left this house on purpose?"

The woman narrowed her eyes while still waving the newspaper she held in her hand.

"Yes, I have heard the companies try to force you to sell your area to them in order to get the land."

The man sighed again but this time there was worry in his eyes.

"Then the girl Meng must have also been forced."

This time there was a flash of worry in the lady's eyes.

The man chuckled and breathed in a few times and calmed down.

"If only little Qi was here our small family would have been complete."

The lady smiled and looked at the sky with her eyes tearing.

"Hey, didn't you just told me to not make a deadpan face and not you are crying like a baby?"

The man called out but his voice still choked.

"Hmm."

The lady wiped her tears off and glanced at the house.

"Our only hope for living is the little girl now, we must take care of her, in time she will be a good child."

The lady said while looking at the house.

"Old Le, you brought the bean buns and biscuits I made yesterday right?"

The lady asked while narrowing her eyes at the man.

"Ahh that... that, I...."

"You Old, the little girl likes the biscuits a lot, and you left that thing how... how can you be such an idiot?"

The lady exploded and hit the newspaper roll a few times on the man's head.

"Ahh, let me remember I filled in in the big bag, yes it is in the big bag beside the clothes."

After getting smacked by the newspaper a few times the man said while trying to stop the lady from hitting him with his hands.

The lady growled and sat on the beach again.

After a few minutes of waiting, they were bored and started to eat some roasted sunflower seeds in the packet.

"Hey Old Ye how long will the Meng girl take to come back, I was already missing my granddaughter for so long and you never brought me with you, ow that I am here they don't seem to be there."

"Have some patience."

"Have some patience there might be something urgent or she might not have gone out, hse rarely gets time with the little girl so she won't spend it like this, I am sure of that."

The man smiled wryly and tried to calm the woman.

"Old Ye, I say if they don't come in next five minutes, I will beat you till your face swells like the pigs in our farms."

The lady showed her milky white teeth and smiled while patting the newspaper in her other hand.

Cold sweat dripped from the man's back and his back turned wet, even in the cold environment.

"Calm down honey, she will be coming soon."

The man smiled wryly and tried to calm her down.

Indeed, it was he who always told her to stay in the town when he met their granddaughter.
