Chapter 84 I Will Not Die

Ren Ye could barely make out what was happening outside as he kept his mouth shut and tried to relax his breathing. Ren Ye felt his side tremble significantly before everything returned to normal.

The stinky smell still remained in his nose as he had the urge to vomit everything he had this morning.

"I will not die because of an attack but I will die because of the smell!"

Ren Ye cursed inwardly.

Ren Ye couldn't move his arms as he slightly shook his legs and attempted to drill a hole into a cocoon. He slowly lowered his hand and grabbed a sharp substance from his knee.

He took out a pocket knife he had safely kept beside him whenever he was out in Qi Yun's form.

He didn't attempt to cut off the curtains covering him but he wanted to make sure the creature that had kidnapped him wasn't nearby. This way he could avoid having to fight two things at the same time.

Ren Ye overheard the thumping sounds of legs moving altogether, causing his ears to perk up. Due to the direction of the wind, he was able to conclude that he was high above the ground.

His legs will likely not reach the ground.

Ren Ye shook his head clumsily, "Old Yi, are you there?"

He attempted to summon the system and teleport his way out of there but he was unable to do so. Likely due to Old Yi's absence, he was pretty much disappointed.

"After this is over, I will spank the two of you," Ren Ye threatened inwardly with murderous intent.

After he sensed the other party has left for somewhere else, Ren Ye forcefully pushed the knife against the curtain and dragged it harshly. The knife was able to cut through the silky shield as a beam of sunlight slowly showed itself to him.

He dropped himself onto the ground on shaky legs.

He was alone with nobody. Not even Old Yi nor his system. This was the first time he felt he had been on his own after coming into this world.

The complicated feeling didn't leave as it was slowly accompanied by a feeling of self-competence.

He raised his dagger and placed it into the pocket of his arms.

The suit he was wearing had many functions as well as many pockets. He had bought this suit with the system coins he had left, leaving behind nothing after purchasing it.

Ren Ye sighed inwardly as he raised his head to inspect his surrounding, his gaze dropped upon more than seven cocoons. The cocoons were covered by cobwebs and were sticking to intricate lines of webs.

"A spider?" Ren Ye wore a surprised expression, "How can a spider produce a large amount at once?"

Ren Ye ran toward a tree and kicked his feet against the tree, allowing him to hover over the ground and grab the system of webs. Ren Ye didn't worry about falling to the ground because of the weakness of the web.

He guessed if they were able to sustain seven large cocoons in the shape of large centipedes, he was certain it was able to sustain his weight.

He grabbed onto one of the strings and made his way slowly to the cocoon. He raised his simple dagger and sliced through one of the cocoons.

Inside, he saw maggots and insects.

They weren't the only things that startled him but it had been the accompanying smell that came with it that almost made him fall onto the ground.

A white deathly-looking man could be seen past the maggots and insects, Ren Ye had the urge to vomit as he attempted to steady himself.

"Humans? As I had thought, they were gullible."

It hadn't surprised him to see humans in here because humans have a history of being impulsive and reckless despite being warned beforehand. Ren Ye could be considered a hypocrite due to him also being a human and disobeying law and order.

But he came here for a reason.

Currently, he could only try to find his way out using the knowledge he received from the system.

He didn't need to slice away any more cocoons as he assumed they were either humans or animals that were easy for spiders to feast on. Ren Ye landed himself on the ground carefully before thinking of a way to get out of there.

"There is no time left," Ren Ye gripped the dagger in his hand and frowned, "I need to find a way out of here without distracting the culprits."

As he attempted to move his legs, a softness suddenly hit him. Casually causing him to lower his guard down and didn't react fast as usual. His eyes started drooping before he opened them forcefully.

"This!"

Ren Ye recalled this familiar feeling.

The feeling he had before he ended up here! Ren Ye quickly sensed danger as he shook his head to stop his thinking from diverting elsewhere.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Light steps were heard coming his way as Ren Ye was unable to find a hiding spot without enough time. His usual calmness was slowly replaced with a sense of caution and alertness.

As he turned his back, he saw a beast. The size of a flat and the length of a tree with eight black eyes staring at him in curiosity. Eight legs were as wide as an octopus's tentacles with edges as sharp as knives. It had the upper body of a curvy woman but the lower body of a spider.

His gaze swept to the back of this human spider.

It was a man with a familiar face. The man who begged him to spare his life just now. His body was covered in white silk with his face deathly pale.

Ren Ye's eyes dilated before he calmly raised his head to meet its gaze.

There was only one thought inside his head, "Here we go again."

Upon realizing one of its maintained cocoons had escaped, its eight eyes were filled with anger to the brim as it shrieked. The shriek caused the cobweb to shake as the seven victims dropped onto the ground.

The human spider no longer cared about them as she dropped the body of the adventurer and sprinted toward him at full speed.

Ren Ye reacted in time as he flees from the scene in a hurry, his legs moving faster than his head. He quickly dodged an attack from one of its sharp-edged legs as it struck a tree, penetrating it easily.

Ren Ye immediately lowered his head as he foresaw an attack on his head, a spit of pink fluid flew out of its mouth and splashed onto the ground. The ground began to emit smoke before bursting into flames.

Ren Ye took out the needles from his pockets and attempted to slash its legs. The attack didn't do any difference nor did it slow down the speed at it was sprinting.

Ren Ye sighed as he raised his head in an attempt to find a way to block its path. Ren Ye raced toward a tiny hole below a block of trees as he could still sense the speeding legs behind him.

Ren Ye immediately had an idea, "Go to the cave!"

Ren Ye no longer sprinted randomly as he turned to his left and allowed the spider to follow him. The cave wasn't far from here as Ren Ye will able to speed up in no longer than ten minutes.

He had raced against a cheetah when he was a child. To run against eight legs human spiders, it could compare itself to him running away from five cheetahs

It proved to be a much harder challenge as one of the poisons it spat splashed onto his back.

Ren Ye grimaced, "Sh*t!"

He felt his back burn from the poison seeping into his clothes and onto his skin, he gritted his teeth in pain as he uttered a sentence loudly.

"Old Yi, I will f*cking kill you!"

After saying this, a sinister and demonic aura slowly surrounded him and the human spider. The human spider was able to sense it as well as it soon hesitated on whether it should continue following Ren Ye or return back.

But after a short while of thinking, the anger inside its heart was unable to be calmed down. It shrieked once more and followed him right as before he reached the cave.

Ren Ye saw an opening as he dived into it.

The human spider quickly raised all of its legs and attempted to strike his heart.

Fortunately for it, one of its legs was able to slice into his stomach as Ren Ye winced in agony. Cold sweats ran down his face as he took in a sharp breath.

As it struck him, Ren Ye slashed a handful of needles, targeting its eyes.

Unfortunately for him, it was unable to do any damage. It watched with joy and pity as Ren Ye fell into a large black hole in the ground that bound itself to the opening.

Ren Ye felt his heart slowly being wrapped around by various troubling hands as they attempt to pull him from left to right.

He mumbled one last sentence under his breath as he curled his lips into a confident grin, "I will not die today."

There, he fell into the abyss while the human spider watched with an evil smirk, waiting for his punishment to arrive.
