Alonso didn't say anything about how quiet Samuel was. The usually talkative younger cousin remained completely silent as they went outside the hospital.

Whether or not Samuel agreed to it, Alonso felt that the best option would be to take him away for now. Lena might have wanted him to go to her estate, the right-hand man though felt that it would be more fitting for him to go and be with Jovani. The older cousin would be the best choice to know what they should do next.

"Don't think too much about it right now, okay? Lena is dealing with her issues at the current moment." Out of habit, Alonso opened the car door for Samuel to get inside the same way he did it for Jovani. The younger cousin however stopped before he got into the car.

"You know that you don't have to talk to me like that. I'm aware of what's going on, it's just taking me some time to process it." It was no wonder in consideration of the fact that only on two occasions had the other been held at gunpoint. Never before had he thought the princess would be the one doing it though.

Alonso nodded his head slightly while motioning for the other to get inside the car. He glanced back over at the hospital but already knew better than to think that the princess would come running after him.

"Is Julian going to be leaving with us as well?" Samuel asked when Alonso got into the driver's side. The right-hand man only scoffed at this question while starting up the car.

"I doubt that he would even think about leaving the princess alone despite the issues that they are having. He might have made a mistake but he's not the kind to disappear to lick his wounds. The two of them will somehow figure out how to work it out." Alonso saw the way that Samuel frowned in the rearview mirror in response to this question

Unsure of what else he might be able to do to help the other, he decided that maybe putting on the radio would be the best option. There might be something on that he would like to listen to.

"Can you leave that off for the time being? There are a few questions that I want to ask you about now that we're alone."

Something to do with the princess, your cousin, or both of them? The former isn't something that I can speak much about. Your cousin however there are a lot of things that I wouldn't mind telling you about." Samuel nodded his head as though to say his cousin was the one he wanted to know about.

"Ask away then and I will see what I might be able to answer for you."

"What has been going on between him and Lena? I don't the exact details but it seems to me that they haven't been getting along the best. Something to do with the reason why they left the other night." Alonso pressed on the break slightly, a reaction to the current mental state as he tried to figure out how to answer that question.

"I think that one might be better answered by your cousin. You're not wrong to think that something is going on between them. That just isn't my place to talk about that kind of thing. It's not on Lena's side if that's what you're worried about." Samuel didn't say anything right away as he turned to watch them drive away from the hospital.

He honestly didn't want to leave the princess alone. Gun or not, it didn't feel right to let her be while she was in her current frame of mind. Samuel liked his bottom lip, tasting the leftover salt from sweating earlier due to the adrenaline rush.

Samuel didn't know though what state it would put him in once the adrenaline fully wore off. Process such a thing would be different once his mind was clear. Even if it was the world that he was now stuck in, that didn't make it any less impactful for the person one is engaged to pull a gun on them in an argument.

"What else around that can you tell me about then? I want to least know what's going on with my cousin. He's hiding things and vanishing without saying a word to me which is different from how he usually is."

"That would have something to do with all of the life complications that are going on right now. Things that he doesn't want you to be involved with yet because he doesn't think you're ready. Don't worry though, it won't take that long for him to change his mind about such things." Alonso knew that for a fact without even having to talk with Jovani.

The other was already planning how he would go about changing things in his favor soon. Some of that meant introducing his younger cousin to their family whom he hadn't yet had the chance to meet. Not exactly the ones that Alonso liked all that much but still fell into having the obligation to serve due to them being related to Jovani.

"You'll still be being inducted eventually once all of this has calmed down. Jovani has been putting the pieces together to have that happen around everything else that has been going on."

"I have heard a lot about that but no one yet has told me what will be going on during that time." Something was better than nothing to discuss at the current moment in time. He wanted to keep his mind away from the current events just for a little longer.

"That's more to do with the fact that we're not allowed to talk about it more than anything. It's something you'll find out about on the night that it's supposed to happen." Alonso turned on the blinker to turn left. He wanted to avoid taking the interstate today after what had been taking place recently. The backroads would be slightly safer with their slower speeds and more people around. At least in a certain way.

"If you want to know more about it though, I can probably tell you a few small things."  The other surprisingly seemed to perk up after hearing this.
