Chapter 867 T.D.O.N.B: Two Guys From Ancient Times

The energy burst reached quite away from his body, and when the distance finally passes a few meters, there was a mark left by it. Two, three meters, or maybe slightly more, tall pretorians wearing heavy armor, massive shields, and spears.

They looked like made of golden dust, and each had a lot of draconic symbols on them. Their armor, but especially the heavy round shields.

As they appeared, my son took a single step forward, before leaping in the air, and landing heavily in front of Aaden, who dodged to the side but was then chased after the pretorians, who followed Leonel's footsteps. They attacked without wasting any time, swinging their weapons, and trying to smash whim with their shields.

There was a lot of power behind their attacks, to the point that each made the arena slightly tramble, but unfortunately, there was also a bit of a delay, which allowed anybody to easily see through them. Still, the spearman had a lot of trouble escaping the two, since they were very well synchronized. Not to mention the fact that they both used every tool at their disposal to corner the guy.

Their positioning was at worst very good.

And then my son joined, landing out of nowhere next to Aaden, and almost cutting him in half with his sword. The sheer force behind the blade pushed away the sand in a straight line over a few meters.

It was insane. Such an attack could easily kill the man since he wasn't looking like he was tough at all.

This marked a weird dance where the three tried to hit the poor guy, but the spearman was somehow dodging everything, although the price was his complete focus and a lot of energy.

A few seconds passed and I started to feel like he was done for. It became just a question of time here he would fall.

My judgment was wrong because it was based on the inlet I had, which was quite poor. The blue spirit around him expanded. The color intensified to the point that it looked more like a plastic toy with a shadow of a man inside, and it started swinging its spear. The weapon slammed into the heavy shields, pushing the pretorians away. Leonel ducked down a few times, avoiding it, and continued his attempt to win. He even managed to land one hit, but despite the immense power behind it, the blade failed to pierce through the blue armor.

A loud noise shook the arena before my son was kicked away. He blocked it, but the power behind sand him sliding through the sand.

- Damn it! - John growled. - I thought he had him.

- Relax - I told him. - Leonel is well prepared. He still has a few cards to play in this game.

As I spoke those words, my son decided to rise his sword up into the sky. A ray of sun hit it, for a moment blinding the camera. When we could see again, Leonel was surrounded by a dust of gold. Shimmering like glitter.

It was swirling around him, assembling slowly on his body, and forming true golden scales on his body. They enveloped him completely, leaving only his human face. The rest looked very much draconic.

He grew in size, matching the pretorians, who protected him during the transformation process from attacks of Aaden, who wasn't just gonna stay idle. He tried his best to seize the opportunity, but summoned warriors were just too annoying.

When he finally went past them it was too late, so his attack just slammed into my son's shield, but didn't even push him back a single step.

Leonel responded by stepping forward, pushing away the spear to strike from above. Very simple attack, which got easily dodged, but the power behind it was so immense that even the microphone caught the sound of air being plowed by the blade before it stopped, spraying the sand around just by the wind pressure.

It wasn't some fancy attack with the magic behind it, but a pure show of brutal strength.

Even the fact that Leonel missed didn't stop him, he slammed the blue spearman with his shield, forcing him away, then turned to follow and strike again while the pretorians followed cornering Aaden.

He didn't have anywhere to go, which forced him to play a very good card or just lose. He decided to do the first one.

A loud scream left his body and the whole blue armor exploded around him. At least it looked this way.

A blue cloud of smoke-like substance for a moment covered the arena blocking the vision, but when they vanished we were able to see my son away from Aaden. He clearly decided to retreat without a clear vision of his opponent, and the pretorians joined him.

In the middle of the arena was mister spearman, still surrounded by the blue armor, with him hiding underneath, barely visible. The size of the spirit grew. From his back were sticking two banners with completely blue pennants.

He looked like full-blown samurai, just without katanas, and instead armed with the spear, which also was covered in blue. It got longer and gained a few additional spikes on the pointy end, which made it look a bit grotesque.

The mask was still there, but now with the addition of two long horns reaching almost the back of his head. The fangs also were no longer.

Leonel responded by smashing his sword on the shield two times before the blade burst into flames, which also covered the shield. It looked like my son completely bought fire, which was raging on top of it to the point we could hear the loud roar of flames picked by the speakers.

It looked awfully like a final clash.

There was no hesitation in their moves when both charged at one another. The pretorians spread a bit around to flank while my son went head-on. Running heavily, like a train that is picking up speed.
