“What is he?”

Bai Lixin glanced at Wen Ziqing and asked like Xia Chi.

Xia Chi subconsciously replied, “Who knows, he’s not a good thing whichever way.”

When the words came out, Xia Chi paused for two seconds and changed his tone, “Oh, you’re asking what kind of magic element he is, right?”

Wen Ziqing’s face had already turned ashen. He raised his head proudly, chanted a few words under his breath, and a black dot of light appeared in his hand.

Xia Chi, “Oh, the black light was in his hand is the the dark element, which is said to be a rarer element than the light element. The teachers who saw his dark element praised him that he’ll be a rare magician in the future.”

Seeing Wen Ziqing’s increasingly arrogant and contemptuous eyes, Xia Chi was so angry that he wanted to throw up.

Wasn’t this man pretending to be quite amiable in [The Blood Clan] copy before? Anyway, this bad character was his real character.

The teachers said that the first place winner of tomorrow’s examination would receive the first sentence of the “prophecy”.

Wen Ziqing’s dark element was higher than all of them, he seemed to have a natural mastery of it, and was a much faster learner than them.

Wen Ziqing had always treated Bai Lixin as his imaginary enemy, and although his tone of voice was not exactly friendly, it was not so hostile either.

Now that he saw with his own eyes that Bai Lixin’s element was a miscellaneous with all seven elements, Wen Ziqing finally put his mind at ease and completely released his ego.

He had been angry from the time in [The Blood clan] copy because Bai Lixin had made him waste a precious prop card for nothing. Then he wanted to try his luck on the 50th floor again but he ran into Bai Lixin, the evil star again.

The vice president even expelled him from the guild after he made Emil provoke Bai Lixin, leading him into making a fool of himself.

With only a few hundred points left, he had no choice but to enter this copy.

He just didn’t expect to run into Bai Lixin in the copy.

He was not going to pretend anymore, and he would get back at Bai Lixin for all the humiliation he had suffered.

Wen Ziqing clenched his fist so hard that the black element turned into black stars and they flew away in all directions.

He looked at Bai Lixin hate, and there was no room for anything else in his eyes.

Revenge.

Vengeance.

He only wanted to take revenge on Bai Lixin now.

“Ha, look at this brain of mine,” Wen Ziqing’s once gentle expression was now twisted and distorted as he made his grin wider, “How could I forget that our Great God Bai Lixin, whose f- luck value that takes the system’s breath away, was also given the title of ‘God of Bad Luck’. There’s nothing no surprise that he summoned the 7 elements this time.”

The other players looked at each other. Xia Chi, Li Cancan and Liang Xi were already enraged by Wen Ziqing and Xia Chi immediately lost his temper and he rushed at Wen Ziqing.

But before his fist could smash into Wen Ziqing, the latter chanted a paragraph and a pure black whip hit Xia Chi.

The whip, filled with black energy, hit Xia Chi’s thigh without warning, and Xia Chi let out a cry of pain as he fell head first into the grass.

There was a soft cry from the players around.

Even the skeleton mages started whispering.

“It’s a dark whip, he has actually learnt to use the dark element to coalesce into a weapon, fantastic, he must be the winner tomorrow.”

“Yes, he’s excellent.”

“Could he be the one in the prophecy?”

“Quite possibly, quite possibly.”

“If so, we can all be freed.”

Bai Lixin went over to help Xia Chi, his ears picking up on those teachers’ conversations.

Prophecy… freedom?

Was it freedom from the curse?

If so, then the prophecy and the curse were linked.

Wen Ziqing flung a whip, and when he saw Bai Lixin coming, evil turned to courage. The black element coalesced into a black whip that spun around in the air, building up its strength before it was flung even harder.

His target this time was Bai Lixin.

Bai Lixin had not yet learnt how to use the elements, so when he saw the whip coming, he nimbly grabbed Xia Chi and jumped back, just in time to dodge Wen Ziqing’s attack.

Wen Ziqing missed and he withdrew the whip with the intention of coming back for a third strike.

There was no player protection in this copy, and he had wanted to take revenge from Bai Lixin for a long time, so how could he miss such a good opportunity?

Wen Ziqing flung his whip in the air while the people around did not have the slightest intention to stop him.

Bai Lixin’s eyes darkened and he immediately raised the ring in his hand, “I am a disciple handpicked by the Lord High Priest, you teachers will just stand by and see the authority of the High Priest being provoked like this?!”

Wen Ziqing’s third whip was falling when another black whip wrapped around it and yanked it out of his hand.

It was the skeleton mage who had spoken before.

“Child,” the mage priest spoke, “That’s enough. You are both precious apprentices of magic so you shouldn’t hurt each other during practice.”

He paused, then spoke, “If you really want to compete that much, then let it be on the practice field tomorrow.”

A competition on the practice field?

So tomorrow’s test was in the form of a duel…

Wen Ziqing retrieved the black element that had been knocked down and said in a condescending manner, “I have no problem with it, I’m just afraid that Bai Lixin won’t dare to accept my challenge.”

He was not just venting his anger randomly, but using the black whip to test Bai Lixin’s ability.

The opponent was Bai Lixin and he did not dare to take it lightly. Even if he possessed the seven miscellaneous elements which was disdained the most, Bai Lixin could always do something strange and weird.

Who knew if he had another killer move?

But with that dodge Bai Lixin had just made, Wen Ziqing knew that Bai Lixin was powerless the moment he possessed the seven miscellaneous elements.

He was unable to counterattack in the face of his black whip.

He was like a helpless puppy, only able to dodge his attacks in a powerless manner.

Those myths of Bai Lixin’s earlier days would not continue, he was completely finished this time.

Bai Lixin glanced at Xia Chi’s wound that was bubbling with black mist.

Xia Chi’s thigh was a bloody mess, and his forehead had broken out in a cold sweat. His teeth were clenched tightly, his expression pained and uncomfortable.

The whip had not treated Xia Chi as a teammate, but as an enemy instead.

Bai Lixin’s last bit of sympathy for fellow gamers was extinguished. He looked at the skeleton mage with cold eyes, “When is the practice match tomorrow?”

Skeleton Mage: “Tomorrow morning.”

Bai Lixin: “And what time is it now?”

The skeleton mage was a little confused, but the other person had the high priest’s ring with him so he answered honestly, “In the afternoon, the sun will set in 3 hours.”

Bai Lixin flipped the task bar open.

The task bar showed it was just after 3 pm, with three hours to go before the sun set. It seemed that the time in this world corresponded to the time of day on the quest.

Dijia had asked him to go see him at this time tomorrow, and the practice field match was tomorrow morning, so the two did not conflict.

Bai Lixin looked at Wen Ziqing, “Okay, I accept your challenge.”

After saying that, he shot a glance towards Li Cancan and Liang Xi and carried Xia Chi to the corner of the practice field.

Xia Chi was already on the verge of passing out from the pain.

Li Cancan’s eyes panicked, “The dark element comes with curse and corrosive power. Being stuck by the dark element is secondary, it is the torture of the dark element that is most painful.”

“What should we do? Should we go find the teachers to save him.”

Liang Xi: “If those teachers really knew how to save, they would have come over long ago. They were all watching the show when Wen Ziqing attacked us just now, they didn’t even think about saving anyone.”

Bai Lixin sounded very calm, “Liang Xi is right.”

He touched the black pearl necklace around his neck, triggering the healing effect of the Heart of the Ocean.

This black pearl necklace was an S-rank growth item that he had obtained from the mermaids in the individual copy [Deep Sea Mermaid]. He hadn’t had the chance to use it since obtaining it because he hadn’t encountered anyone who was injured.

He wondered if the Mermaid’s Heart could repair the damage caused by magic.

A warm white light flashed from the beautiful black pearl and under Li Cancan and Liang Xi’s astonished gazes, Xia Chi’s wounds began to recover at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The wound healed, and the black element flew from the location of the wound and entered the pearl, as if it had been absorbed by the Mermaid’s Heart.

In his mind came a prompt from the system.

[Ding! The S-rank prop Mermaid’s Heart is currently at lv1, 10/100 to upgrade to lv2.]

Bai Lixin let out a relief on seeing Xia Chi’s pained expression gradually calming down.

As expected of an S-rank healing prop, it was really powerful.

They were hidden in the shade of the trees, and with Li Cancan and Liang Xi blocking Xia Chi, the crowd had no idea what had happened on their side.

Just as Liang Xi and Bai Lixin suspected, the skeleton mages all turned a blind eye to Xia Chi’s injuries, even Xia Chi’s teacher was indifferent.

They just stood there, teaching the players a thing or two about using magic every now and then.

Teachers in name, bystanders in reality.

Liang Xi leaned Xia Chi against the wall as Bai Lixin took out the magic book that Dijia had given him beforehand. He flipped it open and began to learn about magic.

The book said that the Sibi continent was filled with many magical elements, which in normal times, were just a group of spirits that wandered between heaven and earth. By means of specific chants and powers, they can be arranged in infinite combinations.

This was the rule of magic formation and that is why there are so many different forms of magic.

Dark whips, arrows of light, mists of water and so on.

The first five or six pages were devoted to the composition of this magic, followed by a variety of obscure incantations.

By making incantations, one can conjure up the corresponding elemental magic.

These incomprehensible incantations did not appear out of thin air, but were created by previous magicians who constantly refined them.

From the eighth page onwards was a formal instruction in magic.

As the guard had said, the first seven, starting with the simplest element of water to the most difficult element of darkness, had a simple magic spell each.

They were said to be simple, but it was already very hard.

Bai Lixin paused after reading foreword, and then flipped through the next pages.

He read the book quickly, and he lingered on each page for just a couple seconds or so. His eyes went over the words from the beginning to the end before his slender fingers flipped to the next page.
