Chapter 496 - 496 Food Drama

496 Food Drama

“She’s been back in the country for so long and it hasn’t been easy for her to finally get some results. How can she not be smug?” Qu You said disdainfully. “Anyway, be careful. Qu Rou is the same as her mother. She’s not a good person.”

“Yes, I’ll be careful,” Mo Rao said with a smile.

Fu Ying listened to them as he ate and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t let Qu Rou hurt Rao Rao.”

With Fu Ying around, Qu You and Mo Yuan were relieved. Mo Rao ignored Fu Ying, but she knew that with him around, she wouldn’t be bullied so easily.

After the first episode of the show was filmed, it would take another two days to continue filming. Mo Rao found the script for the food drama at home and read it carefully.

The female lead of this drama was a chef who loved delicious food, and the male lead was once a famous gourmet, but because of an accident, he lost his sense of taste. After the male lead tasted the female lead’s dishes, he suddenly realized that he regained his sense of taste, and the two of them developed a bond.

Although the plot was a little melodramatic, Mo Rao was still quite interested in this drama.

She spent the entire day reading the script and was often amused by the plot.

After acting in two main dramas, Mo Rao also wanted to use a lovey-dovey drama to cushion the impact.

Just as Mo Rao was reading the script attentively, Yu Ye called.

“Mo Rao, don’t forget to eat together tonight.” Yu Ye specially called to remind Mo Rao. “I’ll send you the address later.”

“Okay.” Of course, Mo Rao didn’t forget. She had heard of Yu Ye’s name before, but she had never had the chance to taste his cooking.

After hanging up, Yu Ye quickly sent the address to Mo Rao. It was Yu Ye’s private restaurant.

As a gourmet, Yu Ye also ran a small yet beautiful restaurant.

Rumor had it that he received three tables of guests a day, and they were all for dinner. If he didn’t have time, he wouldn’t even open the door.

Many people came because of Yu Ye’s reputation, but they couldn’t get an admission ticket.

Now that Yu Ye had personally invited Mo Rao, Mo Rao didn’t have to wait in line.

Yu Ye’s shop was hidden in a corner of the street. The door was ordinary, but the interior was decorated very stylishly.

When Mo Rao pushed the door open and entered, the bell on the door jingled. The large chandelier above her emitted a warm glow, adding a romantic hue to the night.

The breeze lifted the retro-patterned curtains gently, while the fire in the fireplace dispelled the cold. After a while, Mo Rao’s face turned red from the warmth.

“You’re here.” Amidst the elegant violin music, Yu Ye walked over with an apron around his waist.

Mo Rao smiled at him. “Yes, are you the only one in the shop today?”

Yu Ye led Mo Rao to the table in the middle and pulled out a chair for her as he said with a smile, “There is a distinguished guest today, so of course I can’t receive more guests.”

With that, Yu Ye walked to the door and flipped the sign on the door. The word “closed” was reflected on the glass outside the door.

“Wait a moment. The dishes aren’t ready yet.” Yu Ye looked quite young. He had bold eyebrows and bright eyes. He didn’t look like a chef.

For a moment, Mo Rao felt like she had walked into the food drama script she had read today.

“If you were an actor, I would have suggested that you act in the food drama script that I’ve recently taken a fancy to,” Mo Rao said bluntly.

“I can’t be an actor, but I can be a food consultant for you guys.” Yu Ye walked to the open kitchen and continued to cook today’s dinner for Mo Rao.

Soon, Yu Ye served a salad and foie gras. He said with a smile, “This is the appetizer. Try it first.”

“Aren’t you going to eat as well?” Mo Rao asked.

“I’m still grilling a steak. Please wait a moment.” Yu Ye wasn’t in a hurry. “You can eat first. Don’t worry about me. After all, this meal is on me.”

“Then I won’t stand on ceremony.” After Mo Rao rolled up her sleeves, she picked up her fork and forked a small piece of foie gras.

It was smooth in her mouth and emitted a charred taste. After tasting it carefully, the tip of her tongue tasted a hint of sweetness.

Previously, Mo Rao didn’t like to eat foie gras because of its smell. However, the foie gras Yu Ye made exceeded her imagination.

“How is it?” Yu Ye asked as he cooked steak.

Mo Rao praised, “It’s too delicious! As expected of the work of a famous chef!”
