Shen Tiantian glanced at Lu Xiaochun, who had returned to her own seat, and quickly opened the chat page.

——Are you busy?

Shen Tiantian smiled and replied: [Not really, what about you?]

——A little bit.

Shen Tiantian: [Then you go ahead and work.]

——Don’t you want to know what I’m busy with?

Shen Tiantian read her text and asked: [What are you busy with?]

——Busy thinking about you.

Shen Tiantian was taken aback for a moment, her face slightly flushed by those few words, and a smile involuntarily appeared on her lips. 

‘The CEO surprisingly knew how to say such cheesy words?!’

——Let’s have lunch together.

Shen Tiantian chuckled and replied, “Okay.”

Then, the memory of the earlier unpleasantness struck her, causing her smile to fade slowly. She hesitated for a moment, uncertain about whether or not to express certain thoughts. However, after contemplating for a while, she made up her mind.

Shen Tiantian: [CEO, can we keep our relationship private for now?]

Shan Yi didn’t reply for a long time, which caused Shen Tiantian to let her imagination run wild. ‘Was the CEO angry?!’

Shen Tiantian sighed and thought for a moment before sending another message.

Shen Tiantian: [I just don’t want our relationship to affect everyone’s work. Don’t be angry, ok~]

Shan Yi still didn’t reply.

Shen Tiantian comforted herself that the CEO was likely occupied and hadn’t seen the messages yet. Setting aside her phone, she redirected her attention to her work. However, the thought of Shan Yi being angry due to her words left her feeling a bit unsettled.

‘How come she was feeling restless and uneasy just because she hadn’t received a reply?’ They had agreed to not let it affect their work, after all. 

In the end, the inexplicably fast-paced nature of her relationship with the CEO left her uncertain about its depth and intensity. ‘Who knows where it would lead?!’

‘What if it was just a momentary interest?’

The more Shen Tiantian thought about it, the more uneasy she became. Why did she feel as if she was experiencing heartbreak right after falling in love?!

After staring at the black screen for a while, she let out a quiet sigh and forced her attention back to the computer, deliberately disregarding the passage of time.

However, ten minutes passed.

Half an hour passed … Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but check her phone several times, unable to control her urge.

Indeed, she still cared a lot.

She wanted to call her, but she was afraid of disturbing her. At the same time, she realized that she didn’t even have Shan Yi’s phone number.

She heard a notification from WeChat, she glanced at her phone, and saw that the CEO had replied.

——Be good, I’m not angry. I respect your opinion and if you don’t want to make it public, then we won’t.

Shen Tiantian didn’t even realize she had let out a sigh of relief. Almost immediately, she replied with a kissing emoji.

Shan Yi replied without delay: ——What do you want to eat later?

Shen Tiantian thought for a moment before replying: [How about we go to a place a bit farther away to eat? It wouldn’t be ideal if our colleagues saw us.]

Since her partner didn’t want to make their relationship public, Shan Yi wouldn’t insist on it. To her, she could accept it whether their relationship was public or not.

Her relationship with Shen Tiantian progressed faster than she had anticipated. She had been worried that it would be too fast and it would frighten Shen Tiantian, but she didn’t expect Shen Tiantian to be the one to confess first.

That was beyond her expectations.

But then again, Shen Tiantian had never hidden her interest in her from the start

She checked the time and suddenly felt like seeing Shen Tiantian.

She sent a message to Shen Tiantian, asking her to go to the restroom on the 17th floor. By the time Shen Tiantian saw the message, two minutes had already passed. She looked at her colleagues who were immersed in their work and nervously headed to the restroom. 

Shen Tiantian gently pushed open the partially closed red-painted door. As she took a couple of steps forward, someone suddenly grabbed her. Caught off guard, Shen Tiantian lost her balance and fell into the person’s arms.

The faint smell of mint wafted into her nose, and she knew it was Shan Yi.

She lifted her chin and kissed her passionately.

“Mmm —”

Shan Yi firmly grasped her shoulders, effortlessly turning them around and reversing their positions. With a graceful movement of her long legs, she closed the door.

Shen Tiantian was still a bit worried that someone might come in, so she squirmed, trying to break free.

As the kisses escalated, Shan Yi’s hand slowly moved downwards …

Shen Tiantian took a sharp breath and quickly held her hand back.

After the deep kiss ended, Shan Yi let go of her.

Shen Tiantian’s breathing was slightly erratic from the kiss, and her chest rose and fell with each pant. She looked at Shan Yi, panting, her face blushing, before finally finding her voice to speak, “Did the CEO come down just to kiss me?”

Shan Yi paused for a moment, then smiled and said, “Yes, I just suddenly wanted to kiss you.”

So, she came all the way down from the 18th floor and purposely sought her out in the restroom for this ‘secret rendezvous’? 

This was too thrilling.

Shen Tiantian was speechless but felt a sweet sensation in her heart.

Shan Yi loved the way she blushed, finding it extremely adorable, and couldn’t help but kiss her again.

A faint sound of approaching footsteps gradually grew closer, making Shen Tiantian’s body stiffen. She quickly swallowed the words she wanted to say. She looked up, wanting to ask Shan Yi what to do, but her eyes caught sight of the open door of the stall. Acting swiftly, she pulled Shan Yi inside and quickly locked the door.

The stall, not particularly spacious to begin with, felt a bit cramped for the two of them. They stood face to face, their warm breaths mingling in the confined space. It was as if they could hear the sound of their own hearts beating.

Shen Tiantian’s ears turned red, feeling somewhat uncomfortable as she leaned against the wall behind her. Shan Yi looked at her with amusement.

Just as they managed to steady their breath, they heard the sound of the door opening, and the approaching voices grew louder and clearer. 

“Do you think Manager Tian and Shen Tiantian are really together?”

“Who knows? Manager Tian sent her home personally. Their relationship must be good.”

Shen Tiantian held her breath and subconsciously glanced at Shan Yi, then quickly averted her gaze.

It was too awkward.

She never expected to overhear gossip about herself in the restroom, let alone with Shan Yi by her side. It made her feel as if she were being subjected to a public execution. She recognized that one of the voices belonged to her colleague, Zhang Huan, but had no impression of the other person and didn’t know who it was. 

The sound of two doors closed at the same time and the conversation still went on.

“I didn’t realize they were so close before.”

Zhang Huan snorted. “Well, they’re in the company after all. They have to restrain themselves.”

“Yeah, who knows what they’ve done in private? If I hadn’t seen it the last time, we would’ve still been kept in the dark. “

“Did you see her going into Manager Tian’s office again this morning? I wonder what they were talking about.”

“Forget it. It’s none of our business anyway.”

Shen Tiantian: …

‘Are they free to say whatever they want just because they saw it?!’

She felt like the CEO’s expression quickly turned cold, and Shen Tiantian was utterly miserable. She had a mournful expression on her face as she shook her head vigorously at Shan Yi. 

Following the sound of flushing, the faint voices gradually faded away. 

“Personally sent you home? Hm?! ” Shan Yi approached Shen Tiantian.

Shen Tiantian was on the verge of tears, “It’s not what you’re thinking!!!”

Shan Yi wore an expression of interest and raised an eyebrow, “Then what is it?”

Shen Tiantian:….

Could she say that she didn’t know either?!

If she said it was to repay her for giving her a sanitary pad, it would sound far-fetched.

Apart from that incident, her interactions with Manager Tian were strictly work-related.

Shan Yi was still waiting for her explanation. Shen Tiantian gritted her teeth and reluctantly revealed this unconvincing matter.

After hearing her explanation, Shan Yi:…..

“It’s true,” Shen Tiantian emphasized.

Shan Yi laughed out loud, lowered her head, and kissed the red lips that were inches away. After a while, she let go of her and said, “You’re not allowed to ride in someone else’s car from now on.”

Shen Tiantian looked at her in disbelief. “Not even the bus?!”

Shan Yi paused and said, “At least not Manager Tian’s car.”

Shen Tiantian laughed. She finally realized that the CEO was jealous.

Both sour and cute.

Shan Yi also laughed and pinched her cheek.

Since meeting Shan Yi, Shen Tiantian felt like her skin had become more sensitive. Just a pinch was enough to make her blush.

She cleared her throat and said, “I should go back to work.”

Her colleagues had come and gone, and she had been in the restroom for quite some time. If she didn’t leave soon, they might think she had fallen into the toilet.

“Okay, wait for me after work.” Shan Yi said. “How about we go eat Hunan cuisine?”

Shen Tiantian thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.

They had a two hour lunch break, so they should have enough time.

As Shen Tiantian was about to open the door, Shan Yi pulled her back and kissed her forcefully, her agile tongue exploring the inside of her mouth.

After a while, Shan Yi released her and smiled, “A farewell kiss.”

Shen Tiantian:.…

She walked out the door and happened to catch a glimpse of herself in the mirror, which startled her. Her straight black hair was slightly disheveled, and her lips were swollen from the kiss, making her look like she had just experienced a passionate encounter.

She touched her face, unable to believe that the person in front of her was really herself.

Shan Yi, the perpetrator, still looked neat and tidy.

There was a faint smile on Shan Yi’s lips as she used her slender fingers to tidy up Shen Tiantian’s hair. Then she said, “There you go.”

Shen Tiantian didn’t dare to look at Shan Yi anymore. Without even saying goodbye, she quickly rushed out of the restroom.

She kept her mouth covered and didn’t dare to let go until she returned to her seat.

It was already past eleven o’clock, and they would be off work soon. She suddenly realized that she hadn’t done any work at all.

Manager Tian’s reminder was indeed correct.
