Chapter 133 - Doesn't your princess have any simpler demands? (1)

Xie Yuanqing had said he lived on top of the mountain.

Bei Nuan checked with people on her way there and easily found the place he was living due to her conspicuousness.

Xie Yuanqing was very extravagant and rented out the best place in Yao Zhen.

This place belonged to a patriarch who had the most numerous descendents. She could tell immediately that this place had been renovated within two years. Even the pillars had been repainted with red paint.

There were flowers and other plants in the courtyard, and there was a cluster of pink flowers peeking out from the snow-white walls. It was completely incomparable to the Ji family's old home.

Bei Nuan's target was clear, the cat.

Xie Yuanqing's origin was unknown, so it was best to avoid him if she could.

Bei Nuan walked around his rented house like a thief. She silently pondered; was Li Hua an indoor cat or an outdoor cat?

She had seen her prideful appearance when she was lying in Xie Yuanqing's arms. She looked as if walking was beneath her. Perhaps, she didn't even go outside most of the time. If that was the case, it really wasn't easy to start.

A small furry yellow head popped up from the courtyard wall.

Li Dahua leapt onto the courtyard wall and leisurely stretched, then she sat down and dignifiedly wrapped her tail around herself. She proudly sat on the perimeter wall of her home and surveyed Bei Nuan with her amber eyes from high above.

She seemed to say: Oh, you actually came? What exactly do you want to do?

Bei Nuan was prepared this time. She took off her backpack, took out a large bag of very thin grilled fish filets, and ripped it open. There wasn't any cat that disliked fish.

Yesterday, Xie Yuanqing had told her the story of how Li Dahua had chosen her name when she was a kitten.

Bei Nuan tore off a strip of the fish filet, stood on her tiptoes, and held up the piece to Li Dahua. The courtyard walls of every household weren't that high, so Bei Nuan was able to reach Li Hua.

Offering tribute should win over the heart of a cat, right?

No matter how good Yao Zhen was, it was remote. The stores sold local products and souvenirs for tourists. The variety of snacks available for sale were limited. She didn't think they would sell fish filet snacks as outstanding as hers. Although the salt content was a bit high for cats, it should be fine to feed it a little bit.

Li Dahua examined her, and then she looked at the fish strip. It hesitated for a moment before giving up her posture and reaching out to smell the fish strip.

Immediately afterwards, she severely retched.

Bei Nuan was dumbfounded. This was the first time she saw a cat retching at fish. This was fish! Didn't cats like fish the most?

These were precious fish filets that she had saved from Du Ruo's hands. Du Ruo had chosen these, and they were the tastiest fish snack out of dozens of fish snacks in her pocket space. What was up with this disgusted reaction?

Bei Nuan was dazed for a long time before cheering herself up.  She took out a bag of Du Ruo's favorite crispy fried fish and offered a golden dried fish with a perfect appearance to Li Dahua.

Li Dahua had experience this time and distrustfully looked at Bei Nuan. She stretched her head out vigilantly. Keeping a safe social distance this time, she sniffed.

And then, with a flick of her tail, she urned around and jumped back into the courtyard. She had left.

Bei Nuan: "..."

"Li Dahua? Li Dahua? If you don't like fish, I have other food. Do you want beef jerky? How about pork jerky?" Bei Nuan didn't give up. She gently called her name, trying to beckon it back.

The cat wasn't called over. Instead, she got a human.

Someone behind her gently asked, "You're here? Why didn't you come in? What are you doing out here?"

What was she doing? She was trying to kidnap his cat of course.

Bei Nuan awkwardly turned around and saw Xie Yuanqing and his bodyguards. She squeezed out a smile. "I was passing by here and saw Dahua lying on the wall, so I wanted to play with she.

This was the top of the mountain. There was nothing after here. Xie Yuanqing saw through her but didn't say anything to expose her. He headed into the courtyard.

"Come in to play. I'll call Dahua over."

The courtyard was tidy and pretty. All sorts of flowers and other plants were planted in a disorderly picturesque sort of way.  It was late spring, and mountain air was hot. Many flowers were in bloom.

Li Dahua was sitting underneath a large bush of flowering rhododendrons with one paw raised to clean her face. She was very seriously grooming herself. She was probably feeling permanently tainted by the fish smell from the successive attacks of dried fish.

"Dahua, come here." Xie Yuanqing loudly called her name.

Li Dahua leisurely walked over with her tail raised like a flag pole. She looked up and rubbed herself against his owner's legs.

Xie Yuanqing leaned over, scooped her up, and deposited her into Bei Nuan's arms.

Bei Nuan and Li Dahua: ?
