"Who do you think is a better judge of character? You bunch of old hermits and hags who lock yourself up in your laboratories all year long and don't even know what the person who sends you meals looks like? Or someone that helped build an international business complete with the entire management circle?" Technically, Shen Tianyu built two entire businesses herself but she certainly recieved a lot of help. After all, she was only a young child then, and there were a lot of things she couldn't do, both ability wise and law wise. Not to mention, most people wouldn't take a kid seriously no matter what business they tried to start, especially such a heavy business like brothels and information networking.

Muo Jeng shrunk in on himself and quietened down, knowing what she said was true.

"Anyways, I'll bring him over to formally introduce everyone tomorrow. We don't have classes tomorrow anyways. But once we go to the Imperial Palace to introduce His and Her Majesty, you all had better behave." Shen Tianyu commanded.

She successfully managed to shoo away Muo Jeng and the couple and their third wheel managed to have a peaceful rest of the day.

Th next morning, Shen Tianyu led Rong Jian to Lavender Palace, leaving Bai Yaoxan alone to look after the residence and train.

"Greetings, Miss." Yanmen Mengxiao was as formal as always, bowing to greet her at the gates.

"Miss, you're here! The old geezers have been complaining nonstop since they arrived." On the other hand, Wu Linghao was as energetic as always, waving his arms around as if afraid he wouldn't be seen.

"It's been hard on you. I'll be sure to give them an earful later." Shen Tianyu nodded in greeting and Rong Jian followed with a bow to the two men.

The couple were led to one of the big rooms on the third floor where sounds of discussion leaked from. Yanmen Mengxiao stepped to the side and bowed, indicating that the people Shen Tianyu intended to see were inside. She replied with a word of thanks and both Managers went back to their posts.

As soon as the door to the room was pushed open, the suite immediately fell silent. The room was decorated in tasteful cream color and consisted of various kinds of chairs and cushions. There was a table at the center but there were recliners scattered around other parts of the room. In the corner closest to the door was a wooden bookcase and on the wall opposite of the door was a giant window. Ink paintings were hung on the otherwise unoccupied walls, but not so many that it felt cramped and showy.

"Everyone, meet my fiancee, Rong Jian. He's the fifth son of the Emperor and Empress of Rikui Kingdom and titled Zhu Wangye." Shen Tianyu introduced with crossed legs.

"Greetings elders." Rong Jian didn't see the need to restate what Shen Tianyu just said in introduction.

"Xiao Tian... He doesn't seem very talkative." One of the friendlier elders commented.

"Yes. Well, he doesn't like to talk so please be more accommodating of that." She answered him and then turned to the rest. "I'm letting this be known right now, I'm going to be marrying him so don't try to intrude."

She then turned back to Rong Jian. "Let me introduce everyone to you." She first pointed to Muo Jeng. "You met him yesterday. His name is Muo Jeng and he's both my Master and adoptive Father. The one who spoke earlier is the First Elder, Lu Jinfei, who is the most adept at Beast Taming in our organization. And this one is..." She introduced all the elders in the room in descending order. All the major elders, experts in various aspects of cultivation, were present. There were not as many people in their organization that focused on medicine bit those that studied it were highly respected. And with Luo Shue studying under Tian Yu, more and more members understand the importance of medical skills and are willing to learn more.

"Xiao Tian, frankly speaking, I don't think he's suitable for you. I've heard of this Zhu Wangye, though he's not completely unrelated to the royal family, he doesn't have the blood to inherit the throne in a rightful way. Don't you think marrying him would be a loss to you?" The gruff-looking elder in charge of blacksmithing in their organization pulled the matter into the open.

"No. On the contrary, I think it's a gain. I'm already busy enough as it is, I don't want to be socially obliged to attend meaningless tea parties where the only purpose is to show off and stab everyone else with words. Neither do I want to be involved in a fight for some throne. I'm not interested in being some Empress nor do I have the interest to participate in those long-lasting mind games. So no, I don't think his birth and position is a disadvantage." Shen Tianyu swiftly replied before Rong Jian could fend for himself.

"Well, it is bothersome to be involved in a fight for the throne. Even if you or him don't want the throne, people will still push you two against others or rip apart relations. It's better to live a peaceful life than one filled with needless greed and ambition." Lu Jinfei added, being one of the most level-headed elders present.
