Officer Hou turned around and glared at her. An Cui blushed and hid behind her colleague. Officer Hou apologized on behalf of his subordinate.

“I’m sorry. She’s just a kid who hasn’t seen much of the world, so she lost control of herself.”

Luo Ying took the initiative to help her out. “No, I think she’s very cute. If she could cry out like that, my cloakroom must have been very well-designed. As the host, that makes me very happy. She winked at An Cui after she finished speaking.

A lively beauty was winking at her. Despite being straight, An Cui couldn’t help but feel his heart fluttering. An Cui instantly flushed crimson.

Officer Hou silently watched the interaction between the two of them, but said nothing. Other than An Cui’s initial exclamation, the three of them acted rather professionally.

The other police officer took out an electronic detector and scanned the bag that Luo Ying had mentioned. As expected, a warning sound came from the detector. Officer Hou glanced at Luo Ying and Lu Zhao. He saw Luo Ying cowering behind Lu Zhao in fear. Her pair of watery eyes were wide open, staring at the detector with both fear and curiosity.

The moment the detector rang, Lu Zhao’s brows furrowed, and his face turned cold.

Officer Hou took out the bug and tried to see if he could trace the source of its signal. However, Officer Hou was not expecting much. After all, without bringing it back to the lab, it would not yield much results.

The police officer looked around again and placed the electronic detector in the glass display cabinet at the side. However, the moment the detector was placed there, the alarm went off again.

Immediately, everyone in the room looked in that direction. There was more than one bug in the room!

Officer Hou walked over, picked up the electronic detector, and scanned in that direction. Finally, he found a pinhole camera on a thumb-sized pearl earring.

So not only was Ms. Luo being eavesdropped, but she was also being monitored? Who had she offended? Was it really as An Cui had guessed, that her husband was worried that she was having an affair?

“I remember this earring being a birthday gift from Tian Tian. However, she’s my best friend. Why would she be monitoring me?” Luo Ying’s face was filled with disbelief.

Officer Hou took down Tian Tian’s name and scanned the cloakroom from top to bottom with the detector. In the end, he found three bugs and a pinhole camera.

While coming out of the cloakroom, Lu Zhao glanced at the master bedroom and suggested,”Why don’t we check the master bedroom as well?”

Officer Hou didn’t have any objections to that. He started to scan without saying anything. After scanning the bedside cabinet, he was about to end the detection work when he suddenly felt the detector reacting again. He paused, looked at the messy bed, and asked Luo Ying, “May I check this bed?”

Luo Ying crossed her arms, her face full of panic and uneasiness. She nodded repeatedly, “Yes, yes. Please do look carefully. Don’t miss any corners.”

The other police officer first checked the top of the bed and found nothing unusual. Then, he squatted down and stretched his hand under the bed. The detector rang loudly.

There was actually one under the bed! He reached inside and took out a small square box. “Is this a weight monitor?”

“What is a weight monitor?” Luo Ying could not understand.

“It basically monitors changes in weight. If it’s installed under the bed, upon exceeding a certain value, the monitor will send a message to the phone of the person who installed it.” He did not expand on the implications of how it could be used to detect more than one person on the bed.

Although the police officer left that part unsaid, everyone present came to the same conclusion.

Luo Ying exclaimed, “That’s impossible. I usually don’t allow anyone to enter my room.”
