48 Vengeance To The Royal Ones

Amber bit her lower lip stopping herself from crying, she really didn't want to cry in front of so many people. So she could only swallow her feelings as she walk towards the hill and used the key Ashton have given her.

Upon opening it, she saw that the whole place have greatly changed, it was a messy looking forest back then with bushes here and there but now, there was a paved stairs leading upwards.

The trees were still there giving it a natural feeling with freshness in the air, but the grass were trimmed to the point that it looks like a blanket of the ground.

She once again choked as she walk up, slowly walking up that small hill. Then towards the top she saw two tombstones were erected and her parent's initial was there.

There were only words after this initials: "You will forever be remembered by your children, especially your daughter."

The others were already surrounding the tomb stones when Amber looked back. Ashton was still standing where the gate was. He chose not to go up since he was the first one to see the place anyway.

He had already given his respects.

Amber without regards run down and jumped to hug him.

This not only shock the others but Ashton himself. Good thing was that, despite her sudden jumping on him, he was still able to stabilize himself.

Amber didn't say anything as she hugged him tighter and tears finally fell down her eyes.

This place had always been her greatest guilt. The place where she buried her parents. The place was dirty and ugly, the place was even open to the public. As if anyone could just come and trample the land where her parents lay to rest.

The reason why she had been doing her best to earn as much money as possible. For she wanted to turn this place a proper one.

Yet before she could do anything, this man in her arms have done it already.

"How am I suppose to repay you now," was the first words she could say after hugging him for a while.

The others let them be as they each give their respect atop the hill.

"You didn't think twice when you helped Ashley when she was kidnapped. You didn't think twice when you gave the medicine despite not having the contract yet. Do you think this contract is enough for that?"

Ashton replied, one hand was supporting her back while the other was just on his side.

"My parents were thinking about it as well. How they can truly help you."

She finally let him go and looked at him, "Then thank you. I will forever be grateful for this."

The two of them no longer dwell on the topic. It felt like they no longer needed to, as if each of them understood that standing in ceremony regarding this things were unnecessary.

Atop the hill, it was Jake France who was crying his eyes out. He still couldn't accept the fact that Sarah was already dead.

Both of them separated with happiness, the fact that she didn't truly sent him a letter for a while now didn't bother him at all. Yet the truth was that he will no longer see her.

That young child who saved him from his distress was no longer there for him to meet.

What was more painful was the fact that they were buried here in secret. Not even their names nor their pictures.

He looked around just in time for Amber to finally return back to where they were. Without speaking anything he went ahead and hugged her tight.

"You've done well child. You've done well. We will get them back. No matter what we will find justice for your parents," he said as he kept crying.

Amber helplessly pat him at the back. She looked at Elloise who came and pat her head, she had a warm smile on her lips as she look at Amber behind her tears.

They stayed there for another half an hour before they resumed to their journey. And three hours before their flight, they finally arrived to the airport.

"Don't miss us too much okay?" Hayley said as she hugged Amber.

"Speak for yourself," Amber replied with a laugh.

"With this opportunity that was presented to us through you, we will surely not waste it. Thank you Amber, we have also promised auntie and uncle that we will take care of you," Alissa said as she too hug Amber.

"Think for yourself as well. Use this opportunity for yourself not just mine. Though I really do need your help so I won't turn you down," AMber replied with a laugh.

It was just two months, she only met them for two months but the whole lot of them felt like it was already a long time.

"Take care of yourself out here, the young masters will only stay for another year. Soon you will be left here alone, take good care of yourself, do you understand?" Elloise was the next who hugged her.

"Yes auntie, I will surely take care of myself. But do please take care of yourselves as well. This was just a small country so the competition here was not that big. But in Ceres Country the competition would be in a whole new level."

"You two as well, watch over yourselves. Even with aunt Jacqcueline backing you up, it would be very difficult if you laze around," Amber then said to Alissa and Hayley jokingly.

The three of them then started teasing each other as they wait for the time of the departure.

"Follow us the moment you have done what you need to do," Jake France said as they finally walked to the gates.

"Don't worry, I will be there before you know it. I'll leave Hughes Empire to you. I'll be waiting for your good news," Amber replied with a smile as they bid the four of them goodbye.

Amber, Blake, Devon and Ashton watched the airplane fly up above the sky, watching this, Amber's resolve became even more solid.

Their departure was the declaration of the start of her war. She knew very well how difficult this one is. The royal families have been around for hundreds of years.

Someone who just want to up and battle with them, of course that would not be easy. But she knew she was not alone, they may be separated for a while but surely they will meet again.

"Are you sad?" Blake and Devon looked at her eyes that was looking afar and asked.

"Of course one would be sad in this kind of cases, I just had people whom I can also call family but soon they have to leave. Despite it being for me and for them it would still be sad."

She replied honestly as they went to the parking lot to ride their own cars.

"That's right, I already found a company nearing its bankrupt. You can just give the money and it shall be yours. The papers can easily be processed, all you need to do was to sign and give it a new name," Devon remembered as he informed her.

Amber's eyes lit up upon hearing this, finally finally just a little bit more she can finally start up everything.

"Ashton," she was smiling when she looked back at him.

"Go ahead without us, we're going to stop by somewhere," Ashton just look at the other two without asking her what she meant.

Blake and Devon looked at each other and shrugged, saying to Amber that they'll just meet again at school.

After riding the car, Amber was looking confusedly at Ashton. She haven't said anything yet.

"You want to meet your parents right?" noticing her look, Ashton said without much change in his face.

"How did you know?" she asked in shock.

Ashton just shrugged, hearing Devon say that she could already start her own company. He knew the first people she would inform of it would be her parents.

The time they arrived back to the burial place, it was already nearing midnight. But neither of them felt spooky about the place. Instead they found it peaceful.

"My promise, I will always remember it. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. No matter how long in the future I will get them back for your lives that they snatched away. I won't let them have a peaceful life no matter what happens."

Ashton just watched her from behind, he can feel how cold she had turned out as she spoke about her revenge.

He had seen glimpse of it when they were talking the first time. She never flinched no matter what he did as if everything was nothing to her. He knew, only someone who has the same coldness and ruthlessness in their mind as his, would be able to stay unaffected by his attitude.

"Soon, their good days would end and they would realize that what they have done was their greatest mistake."

That was her declaration, her declaration of her vengeance to the royal ones.
