Chapter 121 - RIVER

For some odd reason, Blue felt they were being surrounded not escorted. She looked around her and didn't like the idea that Anthony's pack members were outnumbered by the pack member of Alpha Xerxes.

This shadow moon pack was larger than the silver river pack, even before they lost their pack members tremendulously. They had a lot of members here that covered a large land in the east.

They walked together to the pack house and Blue could see how big it was… it was almost like the McKeltar manor, but this one was way too modern compared to that old- fashion building.

Blue missed that place. She missed her own bedroom and her school, her friends, Nikolai especially and she scared to the possibility that she would never see them again.

Why didn't they stay a little bit longer and said something before they go? Even until now, Blue couldn't understand that…

They could at least say goodbye to her, right?

"Welcome to our pack house," Alpha Xerxes said cheerfully. He opened his arms widely to show this beautiful place and led them to the main hall of this pack house, where there was three rows of long table that filled with various foods for them to savor.

Blue could hear the pack member of the silver river pack mumbling in gratitude, they thanked Alpha Xerxes and Anthony slightly nodded to him for his generosity.

"Come here, sit next to me," Alpha Xerxes put his hand on Alpha Anthony's shoulder and guided him toward the head of the table, where the place of the Alpha. "You too, little girl," he said to Blue.

Blue clutched her uncle's hand tightly, as she said nothing and followed them.

Alpha Xerxes sat on his seat on the second row, while Alpha Anthony was sitting on his right side and Blue was on his other side.

The other Beta and Gamma were sitting on different row.

"How was your journey?" Alpha Anthony started the conversation as they begun to eat.

"It's a long journey here, but I am glad that you received us well." Of course that was only a sweet talk only, since it was impossible for Anthony to bring all of his pack members without intense discussion between their two and the other upper rank in their pack.

"I am glad all of you are here now." That was only pleasantry talking, because even Alpha Anthony could feel Alpha Xerxes' interest on Blue. The white wolf.

She was one of some reasons that made Xerxes agreed for their pack to join force together. He wanted to see the white wolf. The rare white wolf that was on their myth. Anthony himself didn't believe that.

"How old are you Zuri?" Alpha Xerxes put his attention on the silence little girl, who was sitting next to Alpha Anthony. She dove her nose very low to her bowl, so to not attract any attention on her, but it was hard to do when her white hair very stood out.

"I am nine," she said in small voice, her hoodie slid down from her head, so it put her white hair in fully exposed.

"You are very young, Blue, but you have faced many difficulties," Alpha Xerxes said wisely, as if he was trying to play the role of father for Blue, but Anthony let him to do whatever he wanted, as he continued to eat his dinner in silence, while Xerxes more interested to ask his niece a few question instead of eating his food before his eyes. "You must be scared."

"I met many people that helped me a lot to go through it."

Alpha Xerxes' laugh thundered inside the main hall. "You are so brave!" he stated gleefully. "You look more like a luna in such a young age, it will be great if you turn out to be my son mate."

Anthony's eyes turned a few shades darker when he heard that, but for the sake of his pack member, he let it slid.

"What do you think, Blue? I think you will be a perfect mate for my boy."

Blue didn't answer that, she pretended that she heard nothing and continued to finish her dinner solemnly. She didn't want to talk to him or thinking that she was his son's mate.

She wished that would never be a day it came true.

===================

Gael laid on the bed with Lise beside him. He was finally holding her again, as he could feel her warm body against his.

Probably Lise thought this would be the last time she met him, thus she was willing to be touched by Gael again, as if this was her gift to say goodbye to him.

But, whatever it was, Gael was satisfied enough with this serenity that engulfed them, with the sound of rain that pouring down outside of the window. Their baby must have fallen asleep now and Anne had taken care of her, since there was no disruption in their moment like this.

"What will you name the baby?" Lise asked, breaking the silence between them.

"What will you name the baby?" Gael asked her again, he didn't have any name for her, because there was no name that would suit his baby, since she was too precious. She was the love of his life, aside from his woman.

"I want to name her River," she said, snuggled closer to Gael's embrace, because it was too cold.

"Then we will call her River." That was decided easily and Gael didn't even argue with her about it.

After that, the silence came again, this time with the uncertainty that hung in the air, as they were thinking about a lot of things.

"I think, this is the time for me to go," Gael said, but his gestures showed that he was very reluctant to let her go.

"Hm…" Lise mumbled, but then she added. "Will you comeback?"
