Chapter 35 - The Battle Of Kings

so morning came and Ryjin woke up as he was reluctant to get up cause Deathclaws fluffy feathers where comfy as hell But alas he had to get up and after stretching he walked to the command tent Robert was already there as was Wallace but Wallace was sleeping on his chair Ryjin asked for a report and it was as he thought Nothing happened He did think that maybe that king would try a night attack but seems he did not Ryjin now believes that King is now a cautious and defensive Type.

which is a problem cause that means his army and that enemy army would be having a stand off till 1 attacked he also has the Hill which gives him a good defensive ground so he will be happy to sit on his a.s.s so he talks to Robert about a plan to surround the Hill and come up with Idea's Ryjin would throw magic but the enemy archers will be focusing on him and Claw ( will refer to deathclaw as claw from now on ) so he cant do that out right But if he surrounds the enemy he could have makeshift catapults built witch would take a few days and if he wanted to he could just Camp here and force the enemy to fight cause they have no access to food or water so that's a good option but a long 1 witch could take weeks or longer depending on the enemy's supplies.

Ryjin and Robert come to agree on a Long drawn out Siege now the question is this is only doable if the lords are not still are enemy's they are still awaiting for the lords to make there choices as time goes on it well past noon and approaching about 5 in afternoon when a messenger from the Lords arrives saying they have made there choice and are waiting at the Middle ground the rider leaves with Ryjin and Robert as Wallace is still sleeping they arrive and see lord ash sat there with lords around him Ryjin sat down along with Robert and lord ash started Stating what the lords came to agree on.

:Lord Ash: well the Lords have to to Terms that there are only 2 options however they are still Mistrustful of you but we have come to agree if you defeat that King we all shall swear Fealty to you.

:Ryjin: well that's doable however my second force is currently down south and raiding so i will send a rider to locate my second army and inform them to avoid you and your fellow lords lands and he will return here to help in Beating this Rat of a King i agree to the Lords terms and hope to see you all in the future as nobles of my kingdom -He nods his head gets up and leaves-

As the lords are now relived they gather there force's and start heading Home as Ryjin's entire army now has surrounded the enemy kings army who's name he now knows the enemy king is called John

his full name is John Brigantine and he is king of the Brigant kingdom now that ryjin has solved the Lords problem to deal with this John so the army has been reorganised and all legions have been filled to full However ryjin has been feeling off for the day he believes something is wrong this King is to relaxed and also to calm just sat there on the defensive why would he just sit there.

Ryjin is in the command tent and staring at the map of the the hill and area he see's nothing the hill is surrounded by Flat open land for about 2 miles all round then there's a huge forest south and north east and west just more open flat land Robert does not understand Ryjins Plight as he ask's whats wrong only for Ryjin keep saying Something is wrong somethings off Then Ryjin just Pops up like a stick was ramed up his a.s.s He shouts to Robert and Wallace to Recall the Whole army and away from that Forest and to redeploy in the flat land North Immediately and Fast.

Robert and Wallace Both are now Very Serious Ryjin has never looked so serious whats more they went threw all the time to build and encircling encampment yet they will leave it what has got him so on guard but they still follow his orders as they where leaving they heard him shout to them -AND SET FIRE TO ALL BUILT ENCAMPMENT WALLS AND DEFENCE'S AND TRAPS- Again they are thoroughly Surprised and confused.

Ryjin has just thought of what this King may have done and what he is planning some times in Total war game's on multi player a Player will move and army and have them go in ambush stance to be hidden then they will move a Lure army just in-front of the ambush army so they get 2 army's in 1 battle Ryjin believes this king has a second army somewhere in that forest and that;s why he has been so calm and relaxed if this king has 80k with him here how large could his other army be and made of what troops especially that it makes him so confidant Ryjin then orders for a group of scouts to head in to the Forest under cover of night to scout and find this hidden force if it exists after moving camp in to the Flat land clearing Ryjins army builds a Roman style Fortification camp after about 4 or 5 days His scouts still not returned and he now Knows there is a hidden force.

His question now is how large is it where is it and whats it made of he also has to find out How long it would take Glen and the cav army to Return Things are getting serious now with this battle it even seems this King kept this force hidden even from them lords so even they must have no info on this force -Sigh- trying to fight an enemy when there is a hidden enemy force is difficult
