197 Wedding Day 3

Name:This Time You Are Mine Author:mekane
Vince is wearing a white tuxedo and accented with royal blue. The edges of the suit, pockets and buttons were tailored with blue color. His tie is based on the European vintage suit. To contradict the usual similar colored suit, vest and pants, Maddie had a accented color as the main one for the pants. His shoes were also of plain white.

As Vince walks down the aisle, the entire scenery became dreamy not only for the bride and groom but also for the guests. This atmosphere further convinced the investors who were invited in the wedding, that the feelings between the two leaders weren't just for a show nor for the merger. They are now 100% sure that their feelings are legit.

Both the bride's and groom's hearts are beating crazily from this feeling. Vince never thought that he would get married in the most unexpected way with the most unpredictable situation. Instead of him waiting at the altar, here he is, walking the aisle with his mother to meet the love of his love.

Yve, who's waiting at the altar, failed to notice that there are tears falling down from her eyes. It was only when Vince reached out his hand to touch her face that she discovered the tears.

"You know I will never be happy with you crying that like that." Vince commented on her tears.

"Don't be like that. These tears are not due to sadness." Yve said and smiled back at her King.

"That's more I like it." Vince smiled and offered his arm to which his Queen happily circled hers as they face the priest together.

"We are now here to witness the wedding of Yvory Smith and Vincent Gray." The priest's words signaled the beginning of the ceremony.

The people attentively listened to the priest's words and then came another important moment in the wedding - exchange of rings and vows.

A young boy, which was the son of one of Maddie's staff handed walks to the center carrying the wedding rings. Everyone saw how beautiful they were. The rings were designed by Emika and were approved by Vince. Yve hasn't seen the rings until today.

The ring is a 24-K gold filled with diamonds of different sizes. The bride's wedding ring is designed like a crown fit for a queen. The biggest diamond was placed at the center of the tiara-looking ring. Aside from the most noticeable stone, there were about 50 in her ring alone including the small ones. The groom's wedding ring is not to belittled as well. His ring has the same features except for the design and the number of diamonds. The tiara design fit for a King with lesser and smaller diamonds for a manly approach.

The priest starts one of the awaited sections of the ceremony.

"Do you, Vincent Gray, do you take Yvory Smith to be your wife?"

"Yes, I do." Vince firmly answered and took the ring from the boy and wears it to Yve.

"I have written a lot of wedding vows in preparation for this day. However, I wasn't able to memorize any one of them. The next words I will tell you come straight from my heart." Vince began sending chills to the people listening.

They have heard Vince in a serious tone as the CEO but never have they seen him this focused in a relationship.

"I know that you have been regretting your decision when you left me. I also know that you have been blaming yourself for all the pain I experienced in the past. Let me tell you in front of the priest, my family which is also now yours and to all the people here, that pain allowed me to grow into who I am today. The past made me realize how incompetent and unreliable I was. Ever since that time, I swear to myself that I will work really hard to become someone you can rely on..."

Vince wiped the tears falling from Yve's eyes. Yve thought how amazing it was that Vince always knows how she feels even without spoken words.

"Stop crying or else you'll ruin your make-up." Vince cracked a joke earned a series of laughter from the crowd as his wife pushed him a little.

"On a serious note, I want to make a different promise. This time not to myself but to the only woman who became the exception in my every rule."

"I know you have a lot of things you want to do. I promise to pave the path for you and support you all the way. I will always be at your side whether you need me or not. You don't need to force yourself to tell me everything as I have a lifetime to wait for you to be ready. I have so many years to know you more and to grow in maturity. I was once your Prince, now your King and will be forever Yours." Vince ended his vow with tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

The men sitting applauded the loyalty and sincerity Vince has shown to the wo

man in front of them.

'If this man can be this faithful and loving to his wife, he is surely a worthy businessman to deal with.' They all thought.

The ladies were filled with envy once more as they wipe their respective tears.

'Yvory Smith is one hell of a lucky woman as Vincent Gray is not only rich and handsome but also a devoted and dependable life-time partner.'

Amidst all the touching atmosphere in the garden and as the microphone was handed back to the priest, he said,

"Do you, Yvory Smith, take Vincent Gray as your husband?"

"Yes, I do." Yve replied and as she attempts to stop her tears, she placed the ring on his finger.

"I planned this wedding and thought of my vow for quite sometime now yet the surprised CEO gave an unscripted and sincere one." Yve said as she looked into Vince's eyes and smiled.

She looked down at their hands lcoked in each other's grasp and lightly tightened their touch before looking up at him.

"True to what you said, I did feel sorry for leaving you. There were times I even thought how thick-skinned I become to pursue this relationship and plan a surprise wedding. And after your speech, everyone must be thinking that I'm lucky. Yes, I know that I'm the luckiest."

Tears dripped from her eyes relentlessly and Vince's efforts to wipe them away failed. She's too emotional and even if it hurts him so much, he knew that he has to let her finish what she wanted to say.

"I promise to try to be worthy of your love in every way. I love you as you were once my best friend, my lover and now as I give myself in marriage to you, I promise to trust and honor you and your decisions. Vince, my one and only King, because of you, I can feel myself slowly but surely becoming the me I have always dreamed of being."

Her vow brought every lady witness to tears.

'They truly love each other.' The media people took note of it and tuned to see the groom's mother who looks more touched by the exchange of vows.

Maddie was indeed happy for her son and her daughter-in-law. She was a witness to her son's grief when Yve left him. It tore her heart into pieces and for quite some time, she hated Yve for doing so. But hearing what really happened, she can't afford to hate her anymore. Both of them were young back then and became the victims of evil schemes by the evil people.

"They both deserve to be happy." Maddie murmured to herself.

With those wonderful vows from the couple, the priest said.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Mr. Vincent Gray, you may now kiss the bride."
