184 Almost There

The following morning, Yve woke up seeing Vince beside him. She hugged her instantly and buried herself deep inside the man's embrace.

"Do you want to skip today's work and sleep longer?" Vince asked when he noticed his partner is already awake.

"No. I just want to absorb all of your strength and help me work today." Yve said in a muffled voice.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA" Vince laughed out loud.

Then a loud grumbling sound was heard in the room. They both look at each other and noticed the change on Yve's face.

"It's….."

"you!" Both of them exclaimed accusing Yve's stomach.

Seeing her reaction, Vince didn't press on the issue further. Instead he stood up and went to the toilet ahead of her. When he came out of the toilet Yve had already fixed the bed and took her turn in the toilet. In a while, they went to the cafeteria and ate their breakfast. Although many people are curious on who Yve really is, none of them dared to approach her or stare at her, primarily because Vince and Team Alpha surrounded her.

At last, it was time to leave for work. Yve and Vince hopped on his car while Edward, Sylvan and Chrysthe ride another car. Vince said he would drop Yve to SkyMu before going to the hotel for work.

As they arrived at the office, Vince gave Sylvan and Chrysthe some reminders which were focused on protecting Yve at all times. When Yve arrived inside her office, she asked Sylvan to report on her schedule and the updates on the event.

"Miss Yve, you have a meeting tonight with Madam Maddie on the fitting of your wedding outfit. After that your day is finished." Sylvan ended the report.

"Thank you. Now let's get ready to meet the next set of artists we will create some noise for." Yve said and got the folder of the boy group and went out of her office to go to the meeting room.

The work meetings went well and the group is already preparing for their much awaited comeback as a whole. That afternoon, Yve has nothing on her schedule so she decided to double check the details and called the wedding coordinator Maddie recommended to finalize the set-up.

"Yes, Ms. Yve. Everything is already perfect and I already received the suggestion from Mr. Slayne. If you want I can send you the prospect layout of the venue." The coordinator suggested as she answered her questions.

"Yes, please do. I'm excited to see the designs." Yve's tone tells other people how happy she is with the progress of her plans.

"Okay, Ms. Yve."

Yve ended the phone call and happily scan through the designs she received from the coordinator when Sylvan knocked at her office door and came in with Haru following behind him. She stood up and welcomed Haru. She happily extended her hand to the man which was reciprocated well.

"Thanks, Sylvan. Please bring us some snacks." Yve ordered as she sat on the couch followed by Haru.

As soon as they were left inside the room, Yve knew that somehow this unexpected visit from Haru has something to do with her request last night.

"Haru?"

"I finished the new menu set. However, these are all my experimental dishes which were never served in public. Only my team of chefs in Japan have tried and prepared these with me." Haru answered.

"So, you want to have your team help you prepare the dishes during the event?" Yve asked.

"If the menu set has been approved." Haru honestly answered.

"Of course, that can be arranged. When can you conduct the taste testing?"

"I want to do it tomorrow but some of the ingredients can only be found in Japan."

On cue, Sylvan came back with the snacks for them. As he put the food on the table, Yve asked.

"Do you have the list with you, including your passport?"

"What do you mean?"

"I can ask Sylvan to fly you to Japan and get the ingredients then return to prepare the dishes for tomorrow." Yve said.

"I don't think Stones has a private jet…." Haru responded in low, gentle tone. He eyed the lady to check if she would be offended by his honest reply but she just smiled at him before giving an answer.

"Hmm…. We don't but your friend, the CEO has. With Edward as his secretary, he will not know that I borrowed his private jet, right Sylvan?" Yve turned her head to Sylvan and winked.

Her secretary understood and instantly excused himself to dial Edward's number. Few minutes later the man returned and announced the approval.

"Mr. Edward has already informed the pilot and the plane may depart 3 hours from now. He also told me that one of Mr. Gray's men will accompany you on the trip. He will pick you up in a short while."

"I'm amazed with how fast and efficient you work with the resources." Haru smiled at the lady in front of him.

'She's really the perfect partner for my friend.' He thought and suddenly remembered the latter part of Sylvan's statement.

He looked up at Sylvan and asked,

"Doesn't having one of Vince's men to accompany me a bit over the top?"

Yve thought the same for split second before last night's nightmare came flashing to her mind. She realized that the man Sylvan said would be one from Team Alpha. Seeing Sylvan can't explain himself, she understood that Haru doesn't know his friend's other might but dangerous position. She covered for her secretary by giving an explanation.

"Maybe Edward lied to Vince and said you badly need to go back to Japan. Then to make sure you will come back, he decided to let one of his men to supervise you."

The light dismay in his tone relieved Yve but most of all, Sylvan who noticed the fast and short naughty smile from his Lady Boss.

"How bad of him to think I would not honor my word." Haru expressed himself when three knocks were heard and Jaleb peeked inside.

Yve smiled and let the man in. Sylvan did the necessary introductions and Haru left to go to the hotel and obtain his passport before leaving for Japan. As Sylvan close the door leaving only Yve inside the room, she smiled and whispered,

"Everything is going perfect, so far."
