155 Rings, Food and Fireworks

Finally, Vince finished reading all the files and has prepared his initial statement for the press conference. He looked at his phone and saw that it was time for lunch. He dialled Yve's number but no one was answering. So, he called Sylvan.

"Primo?"

"Where is Yve?"

Sylvan turned around and saw his lady boss asleep on the table.

"Sir, I'm sorry I didn't notice. She fell asleep on the desk." Sylvan answered.

Vince massaged his forehead and sighed a relief.

"What was she doing?"

"She was answering the list of questions I prepared for the press conference."

"Can you check her progress?"

Sylvan approached his lady boss and looked at the laptop only to be amazed. The 20 questions were also answered. Although he can't read all of them yet, he knew that it was detailed yet elegant.

"Primo, I have printed her answers." Sylvan said as he handed the printed copies to his boss.

"Proof-read it for me and you know what to do. I still have two important meetings today before the press conference."

"Primo, she was quite worried with your attitude earlier as well as Secondo's." Sylvan reported.

"I know." Vince casually answered.

"See your phone for more information. I have sent you an email." Vince added before giving Yve a kiss on the forehead and left.

"Vince, long time no see!" Haru and Emika exclaimed.

"Yes! It has been awhile, Haru and Emika!" Vince greeted them back and urged them to sit.

"I saw on the news that you got married already?" Haru began the interrogation.

"Yeah! What happened to our promise?" Emika asked.

When Vince left for Australia, he met these two people in a bar and their attitudes clicked. They became close friends and he learned a lot from Emika who's a designer and the CEO in her jewelry company. Haru, on the other hand, rose to fame thanks to Vince and Emika. "Not yet. We're still waiting for two people." Vince said.

"Not yet. We're still on the proposal, remember?"

"So who are we waiting for?" Emika got more curious.

"Her best friend. Edward will bring her here."

Despite the trust he had with these people, they still have no idea about Team Alpha and CONFERENCE. So he texted Edward to fetch Nyelle instead and bring her to the restaurant.

'Best Friend? Is he referring to the lady we met this morning?' Emika asked herself. It seemed that Haru heard her thoughts and asked the question aloud.

"This morning?" Vince asked.

"Yes. When we arrived, a lady named Nyelle was with Edward." Haru explained.

Just in cue, Nyelle came in with Edward opening the door for her.

'What did he see in her? Why do you look so whipped?' Emika's heart shouted inside but can't get the words out.

Haru looked at the woman beside her and felt bad for her as he truly understood the feeling of being in a one-sided relationship.

Edward had explained to Nyelle and the lady was just hapy knowing that Vince has entrusted her with the task. Vince told them to eat lunch before going to business. While eating, Nyelle had mentioned something that's missing from Vince's plan.

"By the way, Yve mentioned to me so many times that she would like to experience a fireworks display set up just for her."

Vince looked at Edward and knew instantly what his cousin is thinking. He excused himself and called the rest of Team Alpha. They need to set up the fireworks real quick.
