59 Bribery Technique

The rest of the day went well for both Vince and Yve. Vince's worry was erased with laughter every time he looked at Yve's CCTV footage dancing in the practice room. He didn't know that Yve can dance. He met Yve as a musician and as an outstanding medical student. He never knew that he can still discover another talent of Yve.

Yve's meeting, on the other hand, went well. It seemed that the coaches have been wanting to request for improvement in their facilities but were rejected by Airis.Each one of the coaches was prepared with a report and presentation of the changes they want to implement which thoroughly impressed Yve. She thought she would have a hard time to persuade fpr the changes she want to implement. With all of these creative minds, Yve wondered why Airis didn't listen. The coaches answered her by saying that her step sister would always come up with we don't have enough funds for that. One of the coaches even showed her the previous financial report which Airis showed them as proof of the declining income of SkyMu. Yve promised that she look deeper into it and the trainers don't need to worry about it. They reached a mutual understanding about the topic at hand. She informed them to implement the changes starting on Monday and as for the list of equipment they need, they should submit a written report to her by the end of the day. Thus the meeting ended well.

While waiting for the written report from the coaches, she decided to call Edward to ask help about SkyMu's finances.

"Yve, you called for me?" Edward said upon entering Yve's office.

"Yes. I need to ask you something." Yve said while standing up from her desk. She urged Edward to take a seat in one of the couches. Edward realized this matter might be very serious that he should sit it down.

"What is it?" Edward asked as he takes his seat.

"To what extend must the SkyMu report about its financial activities to the Board of Directors during its semi-annual meeting?" Yve asked with as serious look on her face.

"Well just the basic such the amount of money used for the different production and the money earned from those activities." Edward answered.

"Was it divided like, the name of artist and their …"

"No, Yve. It was the general amount. However, if the board wants to know something then they just go ahead and ask. SkyMu is obliged to answer the question then." Edward interrupted. But since Yve didn't say anything after his statement, he just observed her actions and began to wonder why.

"What's wrong Yve? I think it's pretty early for you to worry about the meeting. It won't happen for quite awhile."

Yve nodded her head and said, "Yeah, I know that. It's just….."

"Just?" Edward asked as Yve rested her head on her right arm.

Edward knew that Yve is in deep thought and is trying to think of her next step. Vince had oriented him about the non-verbal actions of Yve which he can find handy as he work for her. But with all the information from Vince, he still can't read what is in Yve's head. He guess that the time they spent together and even before that resulted to knowing and understanding the other half on a different scale. Since Edward cannot think of the appropriate words to say or ask Yve, he just sat there while patiently waiting for Yve's words.

"Edward, what department is incharge of all the finances?" Yve finally ask him.

"That will be the accounting department. But since they have so many record books, you need to specify which one will it be."

"What if I want to see everything?" Yve asked Edward.

Edward looked shocked and swallowed his saliva in response to Yve's ridiculous question.

"Yve that will be very difficult. Even if SkyMu is not as big as Gray Group, checking everything piece by piece will consume all of your time." Edward answered Yve's question with all honesty.

"As expected. So what should I do, Edward?"

"Well, can you tell me the information that you really want to obtain?"

"I don't have a specific reason, Edward. I just have a gut feeling that I should check the finances as well."

Finally Edward understood why she was in thinking deeply and asked him the bizarre question.

Sitting across Edward, Yve is troubled by what the coach had reported. She already reviewed the report before calling Edward in and she can't believe what she saw. Even if she's not an accounting graduate, she can still understand that the money used wasn't right for the outcome. It's like something is not really correct about the report but she can't pin it out. She was hoping that her idea would be possible but after hearing Edward's answer, she was lost now.

"I can obtain the information for you, if you want." What Edward said lightened up Yve's mood.

"But earlier you acted like it was a foolish idea."

"Yes it is as I don't know how it would be possible but Vince was able to pull it through when he just took over Gray Group. You can ask him how did he made it possible." Edward explained.

"Okay. Thanks Edward." Yve said with a smile on her face. She felt that a heavy burden is lifted from her.

Upon hearing those words, Edward excused himself so that he can gather the papers that Yve needs. Since he knows it will be difficult, the earlier the better.

Yve, on the other hand, decided to text Vince about the financial report. But since she doesn't want to sound abusive, she sent this message,

"What do you want to eat for dinner?"

Vince received Yve's message and he can't avoid showing off his smile.

He said to himself, "My Queen is trying to bribe her way out of what happen this morning. I know I shouldn't fall for it easily but I can't help it. I totally love her and her cute little tricks."

Then like a child deeply in love with the picture on the smartphone, Vince kissed Yve's message before sending a reply.

"Anything you want, my Queen….. But I was hoping that I can eat you!"
