28 Use Me

VINCE's POV

Yve is telling me everything but one thing is clear --- Airis and her mother are the typical evil stepmother and stepsister.

"What did you discover?"

"I heard Airis confessed to her mother that she caused my dad to die." She revealed and hugged me tight as I felt her tears falling down.

"She tampered with the car's break."

"Why did she do that?"

"It was for me. Did you remember that my dad bought me a car. That night, my dad used ,y car for an emergency in the company but since his car was brought to a mechanic, he decided to use my car."

"I can't forgive them for causing my dad's death. I planned to go to the company to get what is mine only to realize that most of the board don't trust me. They think I am not qualified."

"So, the company is now theirs?"

"In appearance."

"What do you mean? My dad has an ultimate condition for me to qualify for the position and get the company back."

"What is it?"

"I should marry a businessman and he must be considered eligible and trustworthy by the board of directors."

"At that time, I was furious about everything. So, I went to confront my evil stepsister at the university then she pushed me on the stairs made the accident happened."

I hugged her tighter and did my absolute best to comfort her.

"Is your father's condition in getting the company still applicable?"

She looked at me and answered, "Yes."

"Do you want me to get it for you?"

"What do you mean?"

"We can get married and give the management rights to you. Afterall, with those unconventional business strategies you gave to Gray Group, you'll be a very good CEO."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. But I am curious. You know that I love you very much and I have been wanting to spend this lifetime with you. Why didn't you just ask me to marry you when we saw each other?"

Ughh.. what did I just say? What is really wrong with me!!! I saw her blush and I was also embarrassed.

"It's just I don't want you to think that I'm using you."

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" I just laughed it out. She looked at me with a question face on her face.

"Why are you laughing?"

I kissed her forehead and said,

"I know that you are not like that. But just in case, you can use me all you want."

Then I winked at her. She pushed me away and looked at the city lights once more.

"Vince, seriously talking, I want to get the company back. I am sure that you are qualified enough, and that I am safe and comfortable with you. I also know that you're special to me but I don't know if this feeling is enough for me to say that I can get married to you."

"It's fine." I saw she was shocked by what I said and she turned around to face me again.

"What do you mean it's fine?"

"It's fine if you use me. And right now, I am more than happy to know that you think of me as someone special and that you're comfortable with me."

"Huh? But I am not even sure if I love you."

"Trusting me about this matter and letting me stay by your side are enough for me. As for making sure realize that you love me, let me handle the rest." I winked at her again.

To be honest, I never thought we might get married this way. I do love her and of course, I want her to be mine. Even if she is not yet sure about her feelings, I can live with that as long as she is willing to give me a chance. I am also quite confident that I can make her heart beat only for me.

"Where did that confidence come from?" She asked.

"From this."

I grabbed her head suddenly and kissed her. At first, she was shocked and wanted to push me away. But as I try to deepen the kiss, she gave up and let me in instead. I felt her hands around me back as she tries to deepen the kiss. Who am I to resist, right? We shared a very passionate kiss and we didn't notice how long it was. As soon as we end the kiss, both of us were panting so hard trying to catch our breath.

I took the initiative to hug her and say, "I guess you will be Mrs. Gray soon?"

"Hmph! You haven't even proposed to me, yet."

"Then is that a'go' signal? I can plan my proposal to you?"

"Why are you asking me that question?! You are so weird!" She just left me hanging and went to the toilet instead.

"Don't worry, my Queen, I will give you the grandest proposal and the appropriate wedding as my one and only Queen."
