277 Mother and Son's Deal

Yve is all smiles as she reads the articles on the newspapers. They really made the headlines may it be because of the simultaneous stream, social media posts of their artists and the reactions of the fans. Different newspapers have their own articles but all of them are positive which the most important thing. Yve has just finished reading the related articles on the newspapers when Vince arrives in the dining area after preparing for work.

"What's with all the smiles?"

"We made it on the newspaper. All of the articles are good feedback."

"Great job! I'm sure the stock value of SkyMu increased because of that and it will positively affect the status of Stones Enterprises." Vince congratulates his wife.

"But for you to get better today, we need to eat."

The couple smiles at each other and enjoys the meal Vince prepared for both of them.

As they are about to head out for work, Vince calls out to his wife.

"By the way, what time will you go home tonight?"

"I'll be going to Noble's main office after school. Then Mom and Rose will come with me. Why?"

"Hmmm…. Nothing. So where will you eat dinner?"

"I might be eating with Mom and Rose outside. Will you be able to join us?"

"I'm not sure. I'll just send a message if I can." Vince replies to his wife and kisses her on the forehead before getting in the car.

As Yve gets in the car, she received a text message from Maddie. She opens it and read the message,

"Dear, I'm sorry for the late notice. After one night of thinking, I decided not to stay at your house tonight. Rose and I can stay in a hotel temporarily while the construction is still ongoing. I hope you understand."

Yve is shocked by Maddie's decision so she replies instantly,

"Mom, I know what you're thinking but there's no need to worry. You will not be nuisance to me and Vince. He agreed to my suggestion. Furthermore, you might feel uncomfortable staying at a hotel."

Maddie, who is in the middle of checking the bulk orders of Noble's different branches, reads the message and instantly remembered her son's early morning request.

Upon knowing that Yve went on a jogging with Chrysthe around the village, Vince remembered Yve's decision last night on letting Maddie and Rose stay with them while the office will be under renovation. So he called his mother on a rush.

"Mom, are you awake now?"

"Yes, my dear Son. Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Mom, I heard the result about your counseling…. How are you?"

"I'll be fine, with your strong-willed wife in-charge, I will recover just fine."

"I felt really thankful to her. By the way Mom, about the accommodation…"

"I felt thankful also to her. I do understand what you mean by the accommodation. I didn't want to stay at your house but Yve's really determined."

"Well, for the accommodation, I can reserve the best room in one of the hotels near your office." Vince suggested.

"But I would want for me and Rose to be in the same room."

"Roger that, Mom. Thank you for understanding."

"This is not free though. I'll be expecting grandchild anytime soon."

"MOM!!"

"WHAT?! You're already married and how long do I need to wait for my grandchild?"

"Okay, okay, I know! But please keep this deal a secret between the two of us. Also please tell your decision to my wife on your own."

"What else can I do but be cooperative…."

"Thank you so much, Mom. That will be all for this morning. I'm still cooking our breakfast so I need to hang up. Take care always, Mom." Vince ended the phone call.

After recalling what happened earlier that morning, Maddie replies to Yve.

"Dear, your house is quite far from the main office which might be a bit inconvenient. On the other hand, I can stay in one of the hotels under Gray Group. I can even ask my son about it."

But if Maddie thinks that Yve has given up on her, Maddie is wrong when she receives her reply.

"Mom, let's talk about this tonight. I'll be heading to your office after my class."

Maddie can only sigh and smile at Yve's persistence.

When the exchange of conversation between the two ladies ends, Yve calls on to Sylvan, who's driving her to work as usual.

"Sylvan, kindly prepare a list of the best interior designers in the city while I'm in a meeting."

"What would be the project?"

"Mom's office."

"Roger that. But what about your schedule after school? Do you want it open for work?"

"I'll be going to Noble's office for the interior design meeting. But open it for emergency meetings though." Yve replies.

"Noted."

As they arrive in the building, smiles are everywhere because of the success of their biggest project to date.

"Good morning, Miss Yve."

"Good morning."

Yve replies to each of the staff that greats her as she walks up to her office. Upon reaching their offices, Sylvan informs her of the schedule in the morning.

"You have meeting with the live stream team at 9 in the morning, followed by a meeting with the script writers for the short films to be released online. Lastly, you will have a meeting with the trainers regarding the artists' exchange roles."

"I see but do I have breaks in between meetings?"

"There are."

"Good. So during those times, make sure to give me the list and brief me on their strengths, if possible." Yve reminds Sylvan.

Yve places her things in the office and gets the folders for her first meeting before heading to the meeting room.

"Good morning, Miss Yve!"

"Good morning, team. Please have a sit. Let's begin the meeting."

The PR team reports on the positive results of the stream. It was followed by the marketing team who informed them of the increase in offers for their famous artists.

"That's good but aside from the well-known stars we have, are there any improvement with our other artists?"

"None at the moment."

"Continue monitoring. Some of them might need a break and this project of our own might just be it."

"Yes, Young Madam."

"Okay, now let's move on to my personal feedback including the issues you encountered yesterday, big or small, I want you to include them in your reports." Yve instructs them.
