259 Not Home

The school lessons were the usual for Yve and having their second class cancelled because the professor was on leave allowed the team to work on their respective reports. They went to the school's library and booked a private room. The private room is smaller compared to the room where they stayed in earlier. However, it was already enough to allow them to talk and plan. Just like that, time flew by quickly and time for her teammates to go home and for her to go back to the office.

"Sylvan, Chrysthe, thank you very much for granting my request earlier." Yve thanked her guards and told them to extend it to the rest of the team as well.

"It's our task, Young Madam. Thank you for compromising as well and allowing the rest of the team to visibly follow us earlier." Chrysthe thanked Yve as well.

"Are they going to follow us visibly now?" Yve cautiously asked as she looked behind the van.

"No. They will be hiding for now. We concluded that we will have Eybelle and the team visible if you will be with your friends." Sylvan explained to them.

"I see. Then if that's the case, I don't have any problem with that."

In the office, Yve reviewed the minor adjustments needed for their online project which is scheduled to launch on weekends. They have finalized the schedule and have started the marketing and is making noise all over the social media.

"Young Madam, Edward sent me a text message informing that Mr. Gray will not be able to cook dinner because of an emergency meeting." Sylvan informed his Lady Boss using their direct line.

"I got it. Please remind me if it's already six as I need to cook tonight. By the way, is Chrysthe already home?" Yve asked Sylvan.

"Yes, Young Madam."

"Then please call him and ask about what are the remaining supplies inside the refrigerator." Yve gave instructions and which Sylvan instantly obeyed.

After finalizing the papers and reports, Yve called Sylvan informing them that they should leave and head home. Inside the car, Yve called Vince to ask what he wants for dinner but he didn't answer.

"Sylvan, do you have any ideas on what is the emergency meeting about?" Yve asked Sylvan.

"No, Young Madam. I wasn't informed on the reason of the sudden late meeting. However, he said that he will be home in time for dinner." Sylvan responded and comforted Yve.

Understanding how busy Vince is, Yve went home and decided to cook an bountiful meal for him as a reward.

However, even after she finished cooking, Vince didn't arrive. She didn't want to eat alone, so she decided to go to their study room and opened her own laptop there. She decided to check if her teammates sent an email regarding their reports for the day. Yve saw two reports including Lester's so she opened them and printed accordingly. She read things thoroughly and wrote some recommendations and adjustments.

'I really am blessed with good team. Only minor adjustments were needed.' Yve thought to herself.

Soon, she refreshed her account and received the remaining two report from her teammates. As she waited for the printer to finish printing, she went out to check if Vince has arrived. She even checked her phone for possible message or calls but nothing.

'Why are you not home yet? It's past mealtime already?' Yve asked herself anxiously.

'Yve, finish the reports first before calling anyone from Alpha Team.' With that, she went back to the room.

After a few minutes, she finished giving feedback for the group. She looked at the clock and noticed it was already 10PM but she hadn't heard from Vince. She called Chrysthe for inside the house which the latter responded immediately.

"Is there anything wrong, Young Madam?"Chrysthe asked.

"Do you have any urgent missions as part of Team Alpha?" Yve asked back.

"Aside from being your guard, I heard nothing." Chrysthe answered.

"How about the rest of the Team?"

"I'll give them a call to ask about it." Chrysthe offered and did it instantly.

Hearing Chrysthe talking on the phone, it seems like it has nothing to do with Team Alpha. Then just like that, Chrysthe ended the phone call. Yve looked at Chrysthe filled with anticipation.

"Young Madam, there's no new mission for the Team according to Slayne. However, Miss Nyelle also called him asking for Sir Edward. It seemed that the two of them are together." Chrysthe answered with detail.

"Is there a possibility to check on Edward?"

"Slayne is already doing it when I called him. Let's just wait for an update." Chrysthe said.

"Okay, I see. Thank you." Yve thanked the man.

"Young Madam, please eat your dinner on time. It's way passed the dinner time." Chrysthe reminded his Lady Boss. After all, Vince insisted for them to remind her constantly.

"I know but I'm not in the mood to eat." Yve debated.

"But the Boss has strictly instructed us to..... "

Chrysthe wasn't able to finish what he wanted to say because Yve interrupted him.

"How about if you eat with me? I think I can eat dinner if someone is with me."

"If that will make you eat your meal, Young Madam." Chrysthe agreed and with that Yve went out to prepare the table. Chrysthe followed silently behind and was waiting for Slayne's respond.

In the middle of dinner, Slayne sent a message on what was happening. Chrysthe informed Yve,

"Sir Edward and the Boss are still in a meeting at Gray Group."

"Is there anything wrong with the corporation?" Yve asked.

"I'm sorry Young Madam. In relation to businesses, only Sir Edward and Sylvan knew about it. But since Sylvan is now your secretary...."

"Only Edward knew what's happening." Yve continued the statement for him.

However, unknown to Yve, Slayne's message was different from the reality.

"Primo and Secondo just arrived at the base and will have a meeting with Team Bravo. One of the members annihilated a gang because of their mission. However, it alarme the enemy. So they will plan a counterattack or diversion. Please don't alert the Young Madam. Secure your area well."

This is the reason for Chrysthe's lie.
